  1. Thank you for such detailed reports. I'm following along in preparation for our sailing on Beyond in December. We were just talking about how a tour of the engine room was something we wished was offered. Will have to remember to try an orange whip as that looks delicious!
  2. Have you checked the shore excursions section of your reservation? It's also where you can book other onboard activities like the Behind the Scenes ship tour.
  3. Thanks, this in fact was one of the sources I found that claimed yes. But then when we asked a Celebrity phone rep she said no. We had our concierge on Equinox back in May reach out to the Beyond concierge when we were considering the Royal Suite on Beyond and that answer was no. We asked her to reach out again about the higher than Royal suites and she never got back to us with an answer. Then I found Celebrity's brochure online about the Edge Villa suites that says "yes unless otherwise noted." I know it's rare to have an occasion where it's not a romantic couple in the suite or the couple and their child/teen but I'm hopeful there's someone who has stayed in that suite and separated the beds.
  4. Has anyone stayed in an Edge Villa suite (preferably on Beyond) that was able to separate the upstairs king bed into two twin beds? I know that the bottom level has a fold out sofa bed but I'm seeing conflicting info about whether the upstairs bed can be split. Have the cabin booked for two adult family members and would rather not have to use the sofa bed if we don't have to. Thanks!
  5. Looking back at my daily schedules from this past May, it looks like there's Hot Glass Class options on sea days from 9AM to 1PM and then again from 2PM to 6PM. On our port days, Grand Cayman and Bonaire, it was 4PM to 9PM after we'd left port. Aruba was only 9AM to 11AM since we arrived in port at 11AM. None scheduled for Curacao day since we were docked there all day. I'd suggest purchasing during a pre-cruise sale. Then we visited the studio on embarkation day to sign up for a time slot for our session. Everyone is welcome to come watch someone else's lesson or to watch the demonstrations put on by the artists. Check out my photo review of our step by step experience.
  6. We were just on Equinox last week and had both Tuscan and Murano. No contest - book Murano over Tuscan. I'm also Italian descent and have tried calamari on every cruise we've sailed. This was some of the worst I've had. Also tried the meatball appetizer and it was bad. Weird thing is that the same meatballs were in the spaghetti and meatballs entree and were much better! We also were put in this corner where the window shade got stuck and the overhead light bulbs were out so it was like dining in a power outage. I think being in the dark didn't help the crew remember we were there because service was either super slow or ignored completely. Murano we did the chateaubriand for two and it was delightful! Service was also top notch. We've also had the venison and lobster in there on prior cruises and all have been great.
  7. I stayed in the Sky Suite on Enchanted back in October. The only time sound from the pool deck/MUTS was bothersome (as in not easy to tune out or ignore) was when a primetime football game was aired and the game went past 12AM combined with passengers cheering and shouting in reaction. I'd also caution to keep the full blackout curtains closed when you head to bed in the master bedroom as the quick switching camera shots during the game cast flashing lights onto the bedroom wall.
  8. Glad to see the bridge tour is starting back up again. Thor told us that it still wasn't allowed and we didn't think to ask April onboard. We did learn from the Director of Restaurant Operations who ran our Chef's Table (2nd to last night) that while we couldn't do the galley tour normally included with the paid experience of the Chef's Table, they were allowing galley tours for the first time the next day as part of the free culinary demonstration for anyone who was willing to do it while wearing a mask and gloves. We'd already done the galley tour on a previous cruise so it was an easy decision when several events were scheduled around the same time that last morning.
  9. When we dined at Sur La Mer, Dad started questioning whether he should have tried the lobster bisque. This from a guy who will refuse trying anything seafood. He mentioned wanting to see what it was like first and I pointed out that half the table next to us had ordered it. He refused to believe me insisting that they were all eating chicken pot pie!
  10. Just wanted to wish you Bon Voyage and I look forward to reading about your experience.
  11. Did you do the Chef's Table on your sailing?
  12. We have now returned from our experience and the best way I can describe it is that April is your on board fixer and magic maker. Yes Thor submits your preferences and reservations but it's April that meets you at the terminal to ensure you have no wait to embark or debark. She checked in each night to see if we'd be using our theater seats or if we had plans to get off in port. April met with us to plan our preferences for the balcony breakfast and dinner offering suggestions, additions, and alternatives. We mentioned to Thor that we planned to celebrate Dad's birthday on the cruise expecting nothing more than the Happy Birthday message on the portal screens and the small cake dessert at dinner everyone can get. April arranged his birthday celebration to happen on our balcony dinner night and had our dinner waiters sing to him, gifted him a Stanley bear and Princess tshirt, and presented us with a large cake in addition to the desserts from the balcony dinner's menu. A couple times we had charges on our account that should have been included - she took care of it. She surprised us with something that required us to move a dinner reservation we'd made with Thor. She took care of that. We had an issue one night when another group who had been given extra reserved seats(in the same traveling party as the other Sky Suite but in different cabins) in the same area tried to send us away from our reserved seats insisting that all the seats were for their group. She handled moving them and saving us further confrontation.
  13. Thanks! Yeah I figured that was too good to be true. Especially since when I reached out to them with the same question, their sole response was "Call us to book now." Looking forward to being back on a Princess ship regardless.
  14. Thanks Jill! I watched a video tour of the suite done by a travel agent and they mentioned the suite comes with priority embark in ports (as in skip the potentially long line of people returning to the ship from tours) and ordering from the sanctuary menu to your cabin. Their video was the only time I've seen such perks mentioned. Was that included in your experience?
  15. Thank you for this summary! We have S310 booked on Enchanted this fall and were wondering about whether we'd get a daily replenish or just the one time per cruise minibar contents. Glad to hear I can get my preferred drinks that are only in cans that way. Did you try out the Enclave or take advantage of the reserved theater seating?
