I was on the Regal last Oct.-Nov 10 day Halloween cruise out of NYC to the Carib and Fort Lauderdale. You usually need the 10 days for practices. We had a great group of 40 and a CD staff member who was doing it for the first time. Aaron also made it fun.

The following video was on my cruise and done by a friend .

While all my cruises were special it would have to be my very first one - 12 night Venice to Barcelona on Star Princess in 2004. Whenever I hear Enya's Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) it always reminds me of sailing away from Venice at dusk--magical!!
I love the song/video. I always play it before I cruise.

Oh Sali, the Zumba queen. I’m going to miss you this year. Hope all is good with you.
I will miss you and all the wonderful roll call activities. It was a blast. Your soprano voice added a great dimension to our Pop Choir. I enjoyed every minute it and Aaron our director. Hopefully I will cruise again with the wonderful Retreaters !!!

If they asked people to leave the center for zumba would think people would cooperate
I can't speak for all situations but we all marched down to the piazza because we love to do zumba.

Unless you have changed partners or lost a love one, your favorite Princess Cruise should always be your first one. Why else would you come back? And now you can even "Come Back New".
A Southern Caribbean cruise out of Puerto Rico. Loved it so much we did it again two months later for our honeymoon ....lol
Hi Christine !
I was reading and saw your name. What a pleasant surprise. Hope all is well with you. In March I was on the Ruby California Coastal with a group of people who met on the Regal Inaugural cruise. Each year we seem to have a few reunions each year. In November we are sailing on the Royal Princess to the ABC countries. In 2019 I am going on the Sky Princess Inaugurals in the US with some of the group going again.
I hope our paths will cross on a cruise again.

Every time I have been on the Regal they offered Zumba early in the morning and later in the afternoon. Two different instructors taught the classes. One morning it rained and they moved it to the piazza. I am not sure they would move it to the piazza in the pm . If it is raining lots of cruisers would hang around the piazza leaving little room for us to exercise.

Hello Zumba Queen!
We are fine. We are sailing our first Christmas/New Year's Eve cruise on the Pacific Princess this year. We have wanted to try the "little girl" for a long time and this was the perfect cruise. We are taking our first Celebrity cruise next April. Happy to hear the old gang is still cruising!(y) We will see Sandi & Rich in January after we complete our Xmas cruise.
Stay well!!
Hi Kathy !
It sounds like you have some great cruises coming up. I will be looking forward to hearing about your cruises.
I still do zumba. On the cruises most ships offer zumba and line dancing. Sometimes there is a Cruise Director
staff member who has a different dance skill and that is always wonderful. On the Panama Canal cruise there was a staff member from India and she taught Bollywood dancing. Quite challenging since there were many unusual moves for us. My last cruise was the best. I had 4 dance classes---zumba, line ,belly, and Irish dancing. We actually performed Irish dancing in the piazza .

I am looking for construction pictures of the Sky Princess. I have checked Fincantieri but no luck. When I ask for Sky Princess they show me other ships. Considering Sky is due to be delivered later in 2019, I was hoping to find even a shell of ship.

go to the $ store - spend about $ 8
order a nice 'birthday bouquet' from the Princess flower shop to be in the room when you arrive..
we've gotten flowers twice now - a 'tropical' arrangement on a 5 day cruise ( too short )
and a lily arrangement on our last 7 day - still looked amazing on day 7
my wife absolutely hated to walk out of those rooms the last day of both cruises and not being able to take them with us
My cruise planner often sends me flowers. If I am not on a b2b I usually have met someone on the second cruise and offer the arrangement to that person. They are thrilled for the flowers. My favorite couple I ever gave flowers to were on a b2b second leg that was going Trans Atlantic to England where they lived. The flowers were still in good shape and they were delighted to have them in their room. I was happy because they were going to be enjoyed and not thrown away before their time.

Has anyone had any experience with Princess airport transfer from LAX? Good, bad, otherwise?
In March, 2018 I used Super Shuttle from LAX to San Pedro ( I came the day before from the east coast ) and the reverse back to LAX . I did a very early walk off and arranged for the shared ride ( small van ) at 7:30am. Good rates and very satisfied.

I wanted to know the number of the Pier / terminal for Princess cruises in S.F. Also how long does it take to walk from the Princess terminal to Pier 39 Fisherman's Wharf ?
Thanks.

Hi Whimsy, Enjoyed your review and pics on FB too. We are doing a 10 day in April on the CB. New TV'S look good and have the mattresses been replaced?
One other thing, was the Elite/Platinum lounge in Skywalkers or Club Fusion?

Hi Andrea !
What a pleasant surprise to see your post! I am on CC quite bit posting on my roll calls and always get excited when I see someone I know.
Oct. 26 I was on the Regal leaving NYC and going to the Carib for 10 days and FLL. On the very active roll call there was group of cruisers doing the same cruise for 7 years. Very organized and with lots of activities because the main leader of the group became very tight with the Princess brass and we had lots of extra activities. We had been posting over 1 1/2 years. They had 2 videographers taking pictures and videos of us in activities. Our M & G had 200 + cruisers. They really get into Halloween and the costumes were very creative. After we gathered in the piazza to take pictures of each other and socialize we (200 of us ) went to the main dining room for dinner. They had set aside the tables in the any time dining room.
My group originally met at the Regal Princess Inaugural to the U.S. and Inaugural to the Carib. We enjoyed ourselves so much we sometimes have 2 reunions a year. We are going March 10 for a Pacific Coastal cruise stopping in LA, San Fran, Monterrey, San Diego and Ensenada.
Andrea, you are lucky living so close to the port. Airfares from Syracuse are so expensive.
Hopefully, our paths will cross again in the future.

Always sad to hear about pax missing their ship's embarkation and you simply can't make up for the lost time enjoying the ship, even when not self-insured & covered for the extra expenses to catch up. Not a good way to celebrate New Year's Eve.
Keep in mind that airline/airport & inflight delays aren't just related to winter blizzard ... summertime storms caused more delays & missed cancellations than snow, sometimes an ice storm with a 1/4" coating is all it take to shut down ground ops outside the terminal until deicing can be repeated, as flights lined up on the taxiways waiting for ATC clearance for their routes. Frozen switches & mechanical malfunctions on jet bridges are as much problems as a massive blizzard when temperature take a deep plunge ...
These are true even if booked on a non-stop ... like when the inbound aircraft triggered a delayed connections, even with a freshly rested pilot & crew ready at Flight Ops lounge waiting.
That brings up another element - do carry-ons and keep a change of clothes & all essentials in a personal/cabin bag if flying on a small commuter jet ...we've made connections but our checked bags didn't get delivered by courier services until 8 hours later (paid by the airline to our hotel, late evening.)
I also like to travel a day ahead but as you mentioned you can have problems any time of the year. I was going to visit friends in St. Louis and arriving early afternoon from Syracuse, NY. I was traveling a weekday in July. We had to land in Rochester ,NY which is just 2hours west of Syracuse.. They were having bad weather in Detroit where I had to change planes. We were in Rochester for a few hours. Then we were okayed for Detroit. After we landed they had strong storms so the next flight was delayed a long time.In between I keep calling my friends telling them not to go to the airport because of the continual delays and I would call them when I landed.
Long story short I arrived 9 hours after my scheduled time.
Safe travels everybody in 2018 !

Unbelievable! I hope this family gets some real answers. I can see why Carnival is trying to down play this, but law enforcement needs to be active in the investigation, not Carnival security. I'll be more on the lookout when I'm in my cabin.
Hi Ken and Darlene,
When entering the cabin, I swipe down the surfaces, switches, remote control, faucet handles, etc.Now I guess I will add scrutinizing the room for hidden cameras.

I was also on the Regal Princess ( Fourth time on this ship ). It was a great cruise with a very active roll call with lots of activities. My tv was one that went out also. When I get up I like to see a little news as well as while I am changing for different activities. While I enjoy tv it wasn't going to let it ruin this cruise. I thought it was a generous move for Princess to give us that OBC.

I listed my cruise planner's name the first time I did FCC. So she also got a copy of my FCC's numbers. So now when I purchase the FCC on board her name pops up automatically. So we both get the numbers.
