  1. Thanks LACruiser88,  that’s what I  was reading.  I hope it gets clarified for your voyage as well.  I guess I take a proctored test in case get to pier and they want one.  This is first time not needing a test this year.
For cruise this weekend my summary is stating I need a test, it wasn’t showing a test necessary last week.  Princess thought they simplified it.

  2. Was just told yesterday that Guest sharing  your cabin pays the same as you, I think if purchase Princess Insurance it costs a little more to go solo, but not much and as others have said you can pay more for a different category.  Sometimes not much and other times a lot to up.
There should be a sail by date too in your offer or at least that what I get on the 45 days to book offer.

you do receive the $200 deposit per person back as onboard credit.

  3. I may be one of the few that still fits my life jacket..just in case.
cruise ships have hit things too, severe listing.  You never know, have been at 2 cruises where needed to be near life jacket, just in case.
I am thankful for the crew that keep us safe and I may not remember what to do in a real emergency, but I hopefully won’t panic thanks to the muster drill.

  4. Did the August cruise, I would pick the suit with the dinner as all Diamonds got was a slot tournament that everyone and guests were in.  We didn’t want to do shore ex, so did 2 massages, very nice.  We got the wine stopper, 1 bottle of water and chocolate covered Strawberries twice.  Really liked the Prestige magnet they put on our door.  If guests would not have been included in slot tournament I would have been in.  You have to be in Casino on a machine to win free slot play, they seemed to choose anyone, not just Diamonds.  Our car service was great.

  5. On Crown recently, smoking every night in Casino, majority of us in Casino were non smokers.  Agree if they are concerned about COVID, smoking everywhere including casino should be banned.  The best slots and most of the slots are on the smoking side, they need to make it the non smoking side.  The smoke was so bad our normally clean lungs were burning and we were on the non smoking side.  Honestly, when on the non smoking side, it does not matter.  Also, several people smoking and flicking ashes and cigarettes over Promenade deck.  On last day at least Crew saw some people and stopped them, but when they went inside the people started up again.  Fortunately no fire, but scary.
Wish people understood that fires do start this way, I really don’t want to need my life jacket or go to my muster to evacuate the ship.

This is just my observation and don’t plan on being in Casino again, the offers aren’t worth my good health.

Appreciate others who also don’t appreciate smoking.  We have been complaining for sooo many years and the only change was when they made formal nights non smoking, however, because smokers smoked during the day prior to the start of formal night, Casino still smelled as well as formal attire, was still better to not have smoking though for a few hours.  We learned to change after dinner.

  6. Agree Carbill.

Suzyed, you don’t know me and until the bingo session with Fortuna only smokers who have been smoking in non-designated areas annoy me.  Speaking of, on Crown was walking with other passengers on Promenade when we stopped as saw staff confront passengers on Promenade.  Asked if everything ok, they said no passengers were flicking cigarettes over the railing.

  7. Love walking around Skagway, rather be safe though.  Hopefully improvements will be made so ships can stop next year.  I was there earlier this year and the town was so excited to have tourists again.  On Crown in a few weeks only a few hrs in Icy Straight, I don’t think we will even be able to get off.  Would rather have more time somewhere else than Victoria, we are skipping Ketchikan, favorite port, at least I made it there earlier this year.  Anxious to hear if next few cruises are skipping Skagway now.

  8. Sprocket,  I received another unprofessional looking email this am from

Luisa Visan.  Heading reads; Prestige Cruise-Ship Princess and date.  It’s asking for same details and flight info.  The first email that said would call for car service looked like the flyer received for the cruise.Princess poker chip with seawitch etc.

when I called the Casino number, person accidentally said another company name the. Switched to Princess, no Casino-weird, the conversation was weird.
when I called 800 Princess, asked for an email to send kudos, she gave me customer solutions@princesscruises.com, sent, came back as fraud alert, also sent to Customerrelations@princesscruises.com.  Weird day.

Hope we are on same cruise.

    yes, trying to be careful.

  9. I hope I ca post this;
Has anyone on an upcoming or previous  Prestige Cruise received an email last Saturday and or today?
If previous on a Prestige cruise please let me know.

I believe I have received a fraud email today, called Casino number and person(s) spoken with doesn’t seem legit either.
Last weeks email looked legit, maybe was not?
Does anyone know if Prestige offers  provide complimentary car service?

    Thanks, Sandipalms

  10. Chimney Tenders, appreciate your posting, too bad you needed to show proof.  Also on cruise next month and just happy to be going somewhere other than home.  Love Ketchikan, but we never cruise just for the ports.  We are looking forward to still being in the states or close to them, reason for choosing Alaska.  Any ship just like airlines can have issues at any time as well as ports and itinerary.  So happy you decided to go and are enjoying the cruise.

  11. LACruiser88, will you please message me Generoso’s email as I have misplaced it.  We travelled with him so many times, he would let us know his schedule so we could be on a voyage with him.  So many great Chef’s Tables with him as well.  We may have met you on a cruise.
Generoso made dining so special as well as the cruise.

  12. Toured Sky Suite, disappointed as not impressed and was going to try and book 2 for next year.  Personally would agree with other poster about booking a PH or would prefer a Grand Suite on an older ship or an equal suite on another line.  I did not like walking in to the Sky Suite and right into the dining room.  The PH suites on older ships that have the dining table is nicer in my opinion as it is off to the side, you have an entry.

The deck is large and can be very windy and my opinion, only good if you want to watch MUTS.  Just my opinion.

  13. Feel bad you got sick.  Just my own opinion; anyone coughing prior to boarding ship should be not allowed on and onboard put in quarantine or off in a port or not allowed back on.  Same for people who can’t be without a tissue or several.  I felt very lucky to have not gotten sick while on my cruise.  I did mask as much as possible.  Cruising feels like a game of

“try not to get COVID while on cruise” and you are winner if you didn’t get sick on or once home.  Same with the pre-COVID test.  I enjoy cruising, but it’s not the same, at least not for me.  I am healthy and want to stay healthy and keep all staff and others healthy.
