Jim, I might be wrong and someone can correct me if I am, but I think the top 3 suites can make their specialty reservations as soon as final payment is made. Either way you’re not going to have much competition for times and restaurants.

    Orv is correct

Thanks Ladies…I was really hoping that someone would say:=

    ”Eight pairs…that’s not a lot!”

    okay…I’ll say it…..eight pairs….thats not a lot!

I’m known for bringing at least that many pairs. We usually leave from ny or Florida, depending on the time of year.  No plane involved. I’d rather have extra luggage and have a choice of what I’m wearing. Even when we took planes to a cruise, I always brought what I needed (wanted).

Everybody makes choices based on their own needs. I get it that some people need to cut down on luggage, but as long as there are porters and luggage carts, I’ll be overpacking!😂🛳

  3. Why carry the wine yourself?  Ask the butler to send the bottle to the restaurant you are dining in. It will be waiting for you there and if any is left, it can be properly stored or returned to your suite.

I am boarding Insignia for this cruise on Sept 13th. If anyone reading this thread is doing this cruise and could report here how WARM or COOL the sea days at the beginning and end of the cruise are/were, I would appreciate it very much! Thank you.

    hi tropicalkerry,

just reporting back….the sea day at the beginning of our cruise was very hot!  Very hot in Bermuda. Will keep you posted!  Hope you make it to Bermuda!

  5. We were on insignia for a TA from London to NY.  3 sea days turned into 6 because the captain was avoiding a storm. It was so rough, we were knocked out of our bed twice in one night!  Hate to see how it would have been if we didn’t avoid it!  A great time was had by us and our travel companions, even though we ran out of grey goose!😂🍸

I have never sailed with Oceania, but I have a 30-day cruise in the spring, and I would really appreciate any suggestions on the "Smart Casual" women's attire for dinner.

Am I looking to pack cocktail dresses, dressy pantsuits, tops with bling paired with silk pants, or some other clothing items?

    Thank you for sharing!

I’m in the dress up group. No, not necessary on Oceania, but we enjoy being a little dressier on a cruise. My husband always packs a sport coat and/or suit and I always have a few dresses that could be classified as cocktail dresses. No gowns or tuxedos for us, but maybe a step up from country casual. By no means is that required on Oceania, but you certainly won’t be out of place.

Just do you and enjoy the cruise!
