Thanks,
I did a mock booking for a SV and the allocated cabin was at the aft ...very similar to the photo.
Fabulous views but I guess (or us) too much motion.
We prefer midships ..so it's back to looking again with a different ship. .
Great to have such informative replies .

Hi,
We have sailed RCI , NCL ,P&O but never with Celebrity . We are looking for a SV balcony cabin as we don't like Infinite cabins.
Are any of this type of cabin midships ? also are decks 9/10/11 decks (between cabin decks) a good choice.
Thanks for any info.

We have booked 9082 ...thanks

Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners,
We have important information regarding your upcoming sailing on board Norwegian Pearl on June 14, 2024. Travel Partners are asked to share this information with impacted guests.
Due to the restrictions on large cruise ships to sail into the Venice Lagoon and dock at the usual piers, large cruise ships calling to Venice are required to anchor outside of the lagoon and utilize tender boats to access the Port of Venice. While we have made every effort possible to maintain these calls to Venice, the tender operation and overall experience this provides our guests has fallen short of the standard we aim to deliver. As a result, we have modified Norwegian Pearl's itinerary as shown below.
We recognize that Venice is one of the world's greatest destinations, cherished by both our guests and crew, and as such acknowledge the inconvenience and frustration this disruption may cause. We appreciate the understanding of our loyal guests and travel agent partners.Original Day Destination Arrive Depart Fri VENICE (TRIESTE), ITALY 8:00 pm Sat VENICE, ITALY 6:30 am 11:00 pm Sun KOPER, SLOVENIA 8:00 am 4:00 pm Mon ZADAR, CROATIA 7:00 am 3:30 pm Tue KOTOR, MONTENEGRO 7:30 am 4:30 pm Wed CORFU, GREECE 7:00 am 3:00 pm Thu SANTORINI ISLAND, GREECE 1:30 pm 10:00 pm Fri MYKONOS, GREECE 7:00 am 3:00 pm Sat AT SEA Sun SPLIT, CROATIA 6:30 am 5:30 pm Mon VENICE (TRIESTE), ITALY 6:30 am Revised Day Destination Arrive Depart Fri VENICE (TRIESTE), ITALY 8:00 pm Sat RIJEKA, CROATIA 8:00 am 5:00 pm Sun KOPER, SLOVENIA 7:00 am 4:00 pm Mon DUBROVNIK, CROATIA 11:00 am 8:00 pm Tue KOTOR, MONTENEGRO 7:00 am 4:00 pm Wed CORFU, GREECE 7:00 am 3:00 pm Thu SANTORINI ISLAND, GREECE 1:30 pm 10:00 pm Fri MYKONOS, GREECE 7:00 am 3:00 pm Sat AT SEA Sun SPLIT, CROATIA 7:00 am 5:00 pm Mon VENICE (TRIESTE), ITALY 6:00 am Rijeka is no substitute for Venice ...sorry Croatia !!

No Christmas/New Year cruises in Europe for 2024/2025.
We have met many Americans/ Canadians on our previous cruises at this time of year -they were always popular.
Visited Rome, Barcelona, Malaga ..the Canary Islands ... Madeira ,Casablanca and many other places . I wonder why they have been "pulled."

We did!! As did everyone else on our table … lots of regular P&O cruisers on 10th December sailing last year who said how poor it was compared to previous cruisers
I’m trying them again in April for a short trip with friends … not my choice but one of the group on a very tight budget…. For £360 I don’t expect to be wowed!
Wow ! ..that's a bargain ..how many nights for £ 360 ?

Exactly the same for me, even down to Celebrity being my favourite cruise line.
We appreciate being able to sail from Southampton during the winter/early spring months when the American ships are elsewhere, mostly sailing around the Caribbean out of Florida ports.
Agree also about the dining, even though on X we have (when they were better value and the exchange rate better) dined in all of the speciality restaurants on the S-class but would not pay the prices they are asking now. On the other hand we have really enjoyed our Epicurean dining on P&O and are happy to pay for it at least a few times per cruise.
To the OP I hope you really enjoy your cruise. Our first ever P&O cruise was on Azura in 2018, although not at Christmas, and for what we had paid, we were impressed enough to book again.
We have booked Epicurean and Sindhu twice each . On NCL we always take the drinks package with Speciality restaurants ....on P&0 we have a generous OBC . This cruise will be a "try out and see"... as we are well snowed in at the moment the Canarian warmth will be much appreciated !!!

Thanks, my husband will be packing his dinner suit !!!
This cruise is a chance to get way from the cold UK weather .. we are going with open minds as far as P&0 are concerned .
No NCL or RCI cruise around the Canaries this year.

Which RCL ships ? We sailed Azura last December pre Christmas and for what we paid we knew it wouldn’t be brilliant…..
I wouldn’t do Azura again …. Depends what you want but the lack of drinks and appalling MDR service was the worst parts
We have sailed the NCL Spirit 4 times Christmas/ New Year then after refurbishment it was located to the Far East . Also the Gem, Jade and Pearl and Sun .
Last Christmas/ New Year we were on the Sun ..didn't much like the Sun.. thought we'd try P&0.
RCI .. Brilliance of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas.

Thanks, everyone for your very kind replies . We are on a 2 week cruise but will be coming back on the 28th of December,
For the last three years (excluding covid years) we have done Christmas/New Year cruise on other ships but this year we will be back home for New Year .
It all looks amazing for Christmas on the Azura .

On Arcadia we get Xmas gifts and a small Xmas tree in the cabin. Lovely decorations too. Just off Ventura and the decorations up already!
Hope it's the same for us !

There will be a pantomime, chocolate/cake village, santa will be in his house, lots of Christmas decorations everywhere, carol concerts, carol singers in the public areas, events will be themed. Santa arrives on deck Christmas eve. The Christmas dinner is an extended traditional menu served on two fixed settings even for freedom diners.
There are a couple of special Christmas themed concerts and performances in the theatre. Special Christmas themed drinks, cocktails and food are on offer.
Sounds good 👍...thanks

You can still use NCL air credits and have packaged flights on other days than the standard offered by NCL.
Booking any hotels separately.
Can save quite a bit if they can do the flights you want, worth checking
Thanks ..that's something I will check out

Thanks ..I will remember that when we start looking at hotels.
