Watermelon Crush was my go to drink on Mardi Gras. But now I am wondering how it'd be with mezcal.

I had something similiar happen at the Plaza bar on the Vista. One person's coffee was being made...no one in line...so I sat down at the bar. The helpful...service oriented employee then told me that they were only taking orders from the right end of the bar. So I got up and formed a line.
The Bar820 employee could have quickly mentioned that when Sid sat down. Situation handled.

Hmmmmm where is @sid_9169 off to when he gets on the ship? Ten points for the correct answer.
I am guessing bag drop in cabin....muster...and Alchemy to get to know some bartenders.

Happy Cruise Day!! I am so jealous and there is the extra sting of it being a balmy 11 degrees here in Texas. I am having a spiked coffee, listening to the water dripping in the sinks (hoping to avoid frozen pipes) and ready to stay up to date with all 3 lives!! Enjoy!!

Those breakfast tacos look great so I was thinking since I am not cruising maybe I should get those for breakfast tomorrow. Sad to report that I don't see them on the close to me Cantina Laredo menu.

Current lineup of reserved stuff, shipboard edition:
Chef's Table on Monday. We did this on the Pride in Europe, the very first group in their newly renovated Chef's Table space, and we really enjoyed it. It's long and can be a night ender, but I figured after what's sure to be a late and wild NYE and a pool heavy New Year's Day, that's not the worst thing the night before our first port. Excited to see the menu.
Teppanyaki on Tuesday. B and I have done Teppanyaki on Horizon and Mardi Gras (I've also done the equivalent on Norwegian Breakaway and Jade) and it honestly might be her favorite meal onboard. It's up there for me as well, we always have a great time and love the food, and we're two for two with really entertaining chefs.
Pasta Master Class at Carnival Kitchen around lunch time on Saturday. Neither of us has ever done one of the CK classes. I wanted to try one out last year on MG but they all booked up super fast and I missed the boat. It came down to this one or the BBQ one, and doing BBQ in an hour just seemed sacreligious to me, so Pasta it is!
555 on Saturday night. Yeah, we've done it a hundred times, but we always love it... and last year on two MG sailings I didn't get to it either time, so I still haven't done an Excel class steakhouse! Love the 555 bar, been there plenty, but never gotten inside! Felt like a good way to end the cruise fat and happy.
We skipped Seagrill this time because it wasn't B's favorite (I love it, I'll do it whenever I'm solo on an Excel class ship), but we're pretty well stuffed as it is. Last year we didn't do a single dinner in the MDR because there was so much else to choose from onboard, so who knows what the other nights will bring. I love the brewery tour, did it twice on MG, and B even came with me the last time (she's not a beer person), but that'll be a tough sell this time around. Depending on mood and timing I may do that one solo, tbd on that.
I did the pasta class on Mardi Gras with my son and we both loved it. I came home and bought a manual pasta roller and we still use the recipe and make the noodles and sauce when he is home from college.

No win on trivia.
Breakfast was really good this morning especially since I'm not a big Breakfast person. The two guys making burritos were cranking out tiny baby burritos (which in literal Spanish already means little donkey) but a different guy came out and made mine and he loaded me up.
The sausages were good and actually sausages not hot dogs.
The benedict was perfect. I didn't know it was possible to get such a good benedict from the buffet. Very good.
Buffet also will not customize an omelet.
Blue iguana will not make you fresh eggs to order. Not sure if that is policy or this ship but a lady asked and was told they don't do that.
Wait...no made to order omelette stations anymore? That is a big change.

Yes I had a bit of an incident getting out of the water & I hope it was not caught on camera. I couldn’t make it up that steep part. A nice girl helped pull me up but then I lost my balance & fell back into the sand. I couldn’t stop laughing &no i did not have anything to drink prior to this.
It’s not fun to have a bathing suit full of sand at my age. 🤣🤣🤣I was there about a year ago and the struggle was real. Lol. Thankfully my sons helped me stay on my feet.
I love the water there but that climb out is tough.

Caribill, thank you for mentioning once again about the so called "formal nights," even though they or one of them was called dress to impress, which is fine with me too.
You can always choose to have your own formal night as well. If there aren't enough "formal" formal nights for you just break out your fancy dress any night of the cruise.

Depending on what you are looking for we also really like Shrimp n Stuff and Hubcap Grill ( although we prefer the Kemah location to Galveston).

Here are the prices I updated yesterday Galveston Cruise Parking. With that I checked a few different Breeze cruises for my 4-5 prices. And for my 7 days I checked both my Princess for next week and my Jubilee for next year.My history with the parking is I did discount last time (2 years ago) for like $65. It's $98 now. Pre-covid I did Falstaff for $75 indoor. I know it was about $95 two years ago. Now it's $145. In 2018 I did Lighthouse covered for like $70. Now it's $95 uncovered and $125 covered. And for some messed up reason princess cruisers can only use uncovered and have to pay $130. 2017 I used EZ Park and walk. I think I paid about $50 for that. Now that would be $118 to park and walk. $138 to park and shuttle.
81st Dolphin is out of business now. It looks like Falstaff is in the process of changing their name to Patriot. They have a website for both with the same address and prices.
Before going with Falstaff check their reviews. We used them before and they were great but the road to their entrance has been under construction and in bad shape...hopefully it is fixed now.
We used portparking.com for our last two and had good luck and never waited long for a shuttle.

Does Air Canada have a lounge? Maybe they'll give you day access?

Do the performers use the aisles at some point? I've seen this done at different shows during and before they need access.

I am really bummed our 2024 Alaska cruise does not stop at Icy Strait Point. We stopped here in July and did an amazing whale watch tour with Glacier Wind Charters on their 6 person boat. However our port times were short so we couldn't do the Sky Glider. I need a long stop here so I can do both!!

If you google Prof Cruise NCL menus they have the MDR menus and they look pretty recent. If they are prime rib is Day 7.

Saint Greg's Carnival Jubilee - Live - February 3, 2024

Following along because I was suppose to be on Jubilee the week before Christmas. I drug my feet too long on rebooking anything so my 25% went unused. However, I do still want to get a Jubilee cruise in because I do like the XL class. Galveston is drivable, and I need Emeril's and a few Watermelon Crushes.
