Is there a bar in the serenity area? On both my cruises I've been on I never found my way there. So you walk thru the Cole porter lounge to get to?

  2. Am I reading it wrong- it's 298$ MORE to upgrade correct? If so that seems to look like I would be paying more total than what a new booking is offering for a balcony? Seems pricy to me. .. but never had an offer to upgrade before.

If I go online mock booking I can get a balcony for 538$. If I add the 298$ offer upgrade I will be paying over 100$ more to upgrade than the mock booking.

  3. Once parked, we walked over to the terminal building. The lines for the scanners were fairly long, but once we got past that, things moved very quickly. It only took a few minutes to check in and receive our Sail & Sign cards, and then we boarded the Elation around 1:15pm…..

Now that we are aboard, here our today’s Fun Times……

The first thing we did once we boarded was to head to our cabin, which was U181, an outside cabin on Upper Deck aft, starboard side…..

  4. So if you put 100$ for your hold in cash- how do they refund it back?- do you go back to the desk to get your refund?

I don't see myself spending 100$ on board since I will have already payed for cheers ahead of time. I've only ever used my debit card.

  5. 1st post on these boards, currently searching for my answers but thought id ask anyway.

so the cheers program is like RCs deluxe drinks package except you can only have 15 drinks a day?

is that just 15 alcoholic drinks? or is any drink that would normal cost you counted as one of the 15?

what happens if you want a 16th drink?

When I maxed out on my sea day someone else just bought drinks for me. Unless you find a cool bartender who will continue to serve you after you are over the limit.

  6. Just a reminder to those that book the $50 early saver offer. The first time you price match to a lower fare, you'll likely have to pay the balance of the usual deposit amount to get the lower fare, any time prior to final payment due date.

Yup- happened to me 2 weeks ago on my first price drop. Had to pay 100$ difference to make the deposit & get my fare adjusted.

  7. Definitely stick with what you have

I am extremely susceptible to motion sickness (Meclizine junky here!) and we love the Fantasy class. We usually get OV rooms more aft than forward - the felt motion seems less there even though they are pretty much equidistant from true mid ship.

And we've sailed the Elation out of Jax - the ride is pretty smooth to begin with

Thank you for the info !
