  1. I frequently wake up around 5:00am and can't get back to sleep. So, I read and would like a cup of coffee while I read. So, I call for room service for coffee for 1 so I don't have to get dressed to go upstairs to get the cup of coffee. Am I lazy or is this to help me enjoy the Luxury of Celebrity. I've always tipped when the coffee was delivered.

In a hotel room, they usually have something to make coffee so room service isn't necessary.

For a cup of coffee, I think that it's cheap and tacky. Again, just my humble opinion

  2. I chuckled to myself when I read about the Jr problem because I had it too and the Captain's Club person assured me that when she fixed it, it was Fixed! Until yesterday, I assumed that was true. But the dreaded Jr. has returned. Won't have it fixed until I do my on-line check-in in December. Good Luck all you juniors.

  3. If you want an accessible Sky Suite on the S class ships, then you are just below the buffet where the staff wheels little vehicles with plates etc. on it beginning about 4 AM and ending after I want to be asleep. A mild irritant for some. And poor planning on Celebrity's part.

  4. I've used it whenever I could. Yes, the boarding passes and the luggage tags were specific to our airline. However, I did notice that the airline put on longer tags at the airport. Our luggage was waiting for us at our home airport and the process worked perfectly for us. Hope it does for you too. Use it.

  5. Many years ago, I bought a bright ribbon that I tied around the handles on our luggage. I also bought luggage straps in a similar color or bright green. I switched to the straps with TSA locks (but all luggage thieves have to do is make it wider to get into the bags) and TSA locks for the luggage in bright colors. Easy to identify the luggage and hopefully there are too many locks to deter thieves.

  6. We stayed overnight when we ended our cruise in Australia. We stayed overnight in St. Petersburg, Russia. And we stayed the 2 nights in Bermuda. On a port intensive cruise, it's nice to have an extra day somewhere to relax and take a break. This is just mho and I respect others who feel differently.

  7. Thank you for the information re: Holiday Inn. I have a group of 7 women and my husband and myself. He is disabled. We would like to stay in a reasonably priced hotel for one night prior to our cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette on April 22.

The price we were quoted for the HI was 117 pounds for the one night. I've never been to Great Britain so I have no idea about hotels other than I do need one handicapped room.

  8. I was emailing someone in transportation in London and he suggested that the Holiday Inn would be close to the docks. I called to check on reservations and was told that they were almost sold out and, as a matter of fact, my first 2 choices were unavailable. So, I made reservations for our entire group. Right or wrong oh knowedgeble ones?

P.S. We are staying at the end of next April.

  9. I know someone that has many medical issues related to chemicals in new carpeting and paint. She would like to book the Silhouette for April, 2016. Does anyone know when the ship will be going into dry dock? If it is after April, 2016, then she would probably be able to book the cruise.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

  10. I have some questions. On our next 3 cruises, we will be in a SS and a RS. My husband is disabled and our conversation consist of me talking. We will not be traveling with friends. I am an outgoing person and love talking and learning about others. It looks like, as in specialty restaurants, unless you book a table with friends, you sit alone in Luminae. I LOVEd eating in the specialty restaurant because you could choose to sit with others. I'm just wondering if that will ever be addressed in Luminae? What do you think Cle?

  11. We were in a SS on our b2b in January. We ate in Select and loved it. We met new people every night and the one night that we did not have much in common with the other people at the table, it was okay because we were seated with a different group of people the next night.

Next time we cruise, we, again, will be in a SS. Will they seat you with others or do you have to just have a table by yourself? I do prefer meeting new people

  12. The first time we went on Celebrity I was so disappointed because the ship's hull was blue and I thought that all of the cruise ships would be white. But then after visiting other ports I decided that I really liked the blue hull and thought that it looked very classy and sophisticated. Then, Celebrity began changing the colors of the hull and the ships are mostly white with a little bit of blue. It's okay but I still think that the blue is the most sophisticated of colors. Just my opinion.

  13. The name of the cruise line is Celebrity. Wouldn't it be nice to every once in awhile have a "named" Celebrity perform? We saw the Celebrity singers and dancers and they are very good. The Cirque show was terrific. Unfortunately, the rest didn't turn us on again (no name recognition) and we didn't go to the theater. I know, our loss but that's how it is for us.
