The pictures brought back fond memories of our cruise. While we were in St. Petersburg, we had 2 full days of private tours in an SUV. There were 4 of us, a guide and a driver. It was so informative.
In Berlin, we also had a private tour and were driven in a car from the ship to Berlin. Long drive but worth the day.

My BIL thought that the S class PH is about the length of 6 regular rooms. I just know that it is very large and has everything that anyone would desire. It's one floor which for my DH and me is best.
Come, try our Celebrity.

We were upgraded to the PH suite on the Solstice. Honestly, I felt that it was too big for just the two of us but it is very nice. I would rather be in a RS which I feel is very nice also. It gives us the shower and the tub. The PH is awesome and I was overwhelmed being in it. The butlers are wonderful. We are low maintenance people and get what we can afford.
Cle-guy, missed your party. Maybe the next time.:)

A couple years ago, while in Aruba, the Eclipse was still there at 8:00. It was very cool to have our evening catamaran trip sail the length of the eclipse on the way back to the port.
I noticed that the Eclipse now leaves Aruba at 5:00. Oh well.

Don't wait until Monday, call Celebrity tonight.

Hi Andy,
I know that Celebrity usually holds over the crew during Christmas and the holidays until the second disembarkation of the new year. When we were on the Solstice, we were told that about 80 crew were going home the same day we disembarked. However, this time we'll still be on the Eclipse to the next cruise and I'm just wondering if there will be a mass entrance to the ship for our second cruise.

I was looking at a Norwegian Fjord cruise and it also disappeared. I'm afraid that a company saw these cruises and chartered them. I wanted a long fjord cruise. Oh darn!

It is such a great surprise when the upgrade fairy pays a visit to you.

On our last cruise on the Summitt, I was disappointed when our clothes came back with the color clothes haviing a "dirty" look to it. All the clothes were probably put in together and the colors ran. This was the first time that this has happened to me. I was very disappointed.

I would like to add some things. We are going on b2b cruises on a solstice class ship next year. I have a thing about getting transportation so I called the hotel we're planning to stay at prior to the cruise. I explained my situation and asked if they could help me locate a transportation service that will take 2 scooters. Twice now, I've been able to make the arrangements prior to the cruise and I've been very happy with both. Just saying that pre-planning helps us.

I know that we will have to do the online check-in but do we have to print it out?
-
The menu will be the same as will the entertainment unless an entertainer is leaving and another one is arriving for several cruises. Since you have several choices for food, it shouldn't be a problem.
We are doing B2B on the Eclipse for the month of January. Just printed out our express pass for the first cruise.
Have a great vacation/

When we were in Bermuda, we had to turn our clocks ahead one hour. When we're in Aruba, we also have to turn our clocks ahead one hours but when we go on Eastern Daylight savings time, we are the same time as Aruba which is on Atlantic time. Both Aruba and Bermuda are in the Atlantic time zone. So, my question to the officers was why are we going ahead one hour? The reply was that Bermuda, in the Atlantic time zone was on Bermuda time??????? I just don't get it. And, I know, I should get a life if this bothers me.

We were on the Summit last week and really liked the overhang. The room light was not a problem and sitting on the 9th deck on the veranda was perfect. Enjoy your cruise.

My husband and I just returned from the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda. We both used scooters. My biggest concern was the 2 scooters in an elevator, but it turned out not to be a problem at all. People were the greatest and the staff was wonderful. Unfortunately, unless I can get a new back, this will probably be our usual procedur from now on.
-
I'm sorry that your embarkation did not meet your expectations. My husband and I came on the ship on 8/31 and, like others said, it was quick for us. We were both on scooters. It was a great cruise, just too short. So, next year we're doing a B2B to Bermuda. The new terminal should be completed by then and it should be good.
Hope the rest of your cruise is better.

My husband and I are doing a b2b in January out of Miami. I just want to be warm for one whole month. Maybe we'll see you then.

We were upgraded to the PS and did not learn about it until we were onboard and in Michael's Club. The people who had our suite were given it in October but our luggage tags received about 2 weeks prior to the cruise still listed our original room number on it. It was a crazy exciting surprise.

We would like to take a cruise through the Fjords in 2016. I'm not really sure what I'm asking for. I know that this sounds dumb but I'm not sure which cruise that we should take? Seeing photos of the Celebrity cruise ship sailing between large green ranges looks so peaceful and beautiful.
What would CC cruisers recommend?

Lois,
Since you're the only person that I know that sails all by herself, I'm so very happy for you. -
When I read the OP's statement, my first thought was "of course". Then I read the replies and agreed with the pros and cons. Here is my take.
What do you do on a cruise ship? Is your cruise port intensive or sea day intensive? Are you always out and about on the cruise ship?
My husband is disabled and so am I somewhat and I don't like to leave him alone in a cabin for a long time, so we spend a lot of time in our cabin or on the veranda. I LOVE the Royal Suites and the Sky suites are nice but given that we spend a goodly amount of time in the room, I'd take a RS any day.
Whatever you decide, have a wonderful cruise.

Was the lady who said this "older"? I remember my aunt saying that when she was upset with someone. Not saying this is a correct thing to say but maybe that was an expression used within the family?????

Count me in please.

I haven't been on the Summit in several years and your pictures are just great. We will be going on our cruise next month so I'm reading your thread with interest. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us.

Hi Paul
We will be on the cruises beginning on 1/4. I'm enjoying your review of the Eclipse very much. The fact that you're uploading your review on land sort of indicate to me that the WIFI service is as bad as Host Andy indicated. Have any of your new friends been eating in the DR? What are they saying about the food and service?
Continue enjoying your cruise.
