  1. We were upgraded to the PH suite on the Solstice. Honestly, I felt that it was too big for just the two of us but it is very nice. I would rather be in a RS which I feel is very nice also. It gives us the shower and the tub. The PH is awesome and I was overwhelmed being in it. The butlers are wonderful. We are low maintenance people and get what we can afford.

Cle-guy, missed your party. Maybe the next time.:)

  2. Hi Andy,

I know that Celebrity usually holds over the crew during Christmas and the holidays until the second disembarkation of the new year. When we were on the Solstice, we were told that about 80 crew were going home the same day we disembarked. However, this time we'll still be on the Eclipse to the next cruise and I'm just wondering if there will be a mass entrance to the ship for our second cruise.

  3. I would like to add some things. We are going on b2b cruises on a solstice class ship next year. I have a thing about getting transportation so I called the hotel we're planning to stay at prior to the cruise. I explained my situation and asked if they could help me locate a transportation service that will take 2 scooters. Twice now, I've been able to make the arrangements prior to the cruise and I've been very happy with both. Just saying that pre-planning helps us.

  4. The menu will be the same as will the entertainment unless an entertainer is leaving and another one is arriving for several cruises. Since you have several choices for food, it shouldn't be a problem.

We are doing B2B on the Eclipse for the month of January. Just printed out our express pass for the first cruise.

    Have a great vacation/

  5. When we were in Bermuda, we had to turn our clocks ahead one hour. When we're in Aruba, we also have to turn our clocks ahead one hours but when we go on Eastern Daylight savings time, we are the same time as Aruba which is on Atlantic time. Both Aruba and Bermuda are in the Atlantic time zone. So, my question to the officers was why are we going ahead one hour? The reply was that Bermuda, in the Atlantic time zone was on Bermuda time??????? I just don't get it. And, I know, I should get a life if this bothers me.

  6. My husband and I just returned from the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda. We both used scooters. My biggest concern was the 2 scooters in an elevator, but it turned out not to be a problem at all. People were the greatest and the staff was wonderful. Unfortunately, unless I can get a new back, this will probably be our usual procedur from now on.

  7. I'm sorry that your embarkation did not meet your expectations. My husband and I came on the ship on 8/31 and, like others said, it was quick for us. We were both on scooters. It was a great cruise, just too short. So, next year we're doing a B2B to Bermuda. The new terminal should be completed by then and it should be good.

Hope the rest of your cruise is better.

  8. We would like to take a cruise through the Fjords in 2016. I'm not really sure what I'm asking for. I know that this sounds dumb but I'm not sure which cruise that we should take? Seeing photos of the Celebrity cruise ship sailing between large green ranges looks so peaceful and beautiful.

    What would CC cruisers recommend?

  9. When I read the OP's statement, my first thought was "of course". Then I read the replies and agreed with the pros and cons. Here is my take.

What do you do on a cruise ship? Is your cruise port intensive or sea day intensive? Are you always out and about on the cruise ship?

My husband is disabled and so am I somewhat and I don't like to leave him alone in a cabin for a long time, so we spend a lot of time in our cabin or on the veranda. I LOVE the Royal Suites and the Sky suites are nice but given that we spend a goodly amount of time in the room, I'd take a RS any day.

Whatever you decide, have a wonderful cruise.
