  1. Okay, I'm giving up on spring break cruising and looking on to this summer.  Has anyone been successful in contacting NCL and having them apply the 125% FCC to a future cruise already.  I found a couple we're interested in July or August I'd be willing to book if they would move it all to that.  However, I would still have some left.  Would they let me use that for OBC for excursions or prepaid gratuities?  Would they also apply my two Cruise Next certificates I had on the cruise they just canceled?

  2. I apologize in advance but I could find the answer by searching. I am 90 days out from my Bliss cruise. I thought that as a Platinum cruiser I could book shows and restaurants today but my Vacation Explore and Plan still says things are not available to book. Am I wrong about the number of days out you can book?

No supervisor needed yet. What cruise are you booked on in 2020? The offer only applies to the cruises listed from Jan. 2020 > Dec. 2022.

If you want to confirm you're doing it correctly, check the price of balcony, NOT sailaway, on the Jan. 22 Breakaway cruise.  Then log into your NCL account. Select Past Guest offers under Specials.  Do the mock booking again... if you don't see quite a substancial difference, I don't know what to tell you.

I think I may have been doing it right.  I followed the link from the email and it led to my cruise ( Mar 1, 7 day Southern Caribbean from San Juan. ). However I didn’t know to select Past Guest offer under specials. I guess  my cruise doesn’t qualify. Thanks for responding.

  4. I, too got this 20% offer and followed the link to book the offer and found my cruise listed. However when I called my CC yesterday he said it was not on the list  for discount. I tried a dummy booking myself and the price remained the same as when we booked. I forwarded my email to the CC and am waiting for an update. Anyone else experience this? Should I elevate this to a supervisor?

  5. We took this tour last year and enjoyed it very much. We docked at Nynashamn and were bussed into Stockholm. Our visit to the Vasa museum was first and we were given plenty of time there. We later headed to old towne for a walking tour with enough time for a bit of shopping and a drink in the square. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and only wished we could have spent more time in this wonderful city.

  6. I was also booked on this cruise, booked back in November. I called NCL that day and they claimed they had no info on why. How could they not know? Anyhow we switched to the March 7 cruise, also a 10 night, but now have to pay more as the price has, of course, risen in the interim. Seems to me it would have been fairer to allow guests to switch dates at their previous fare. The March 7 cruise is a “Distinctive Voyage” so at least we picked up a few extras.

  7. I bought postcards and mailed them from Havana. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time. If you exit the cruise terminal, cross the street to the plaza, and walk across it and to the right you will find the post office. I bought my cards in the cruise terminal.

  8. We always send postcards home from our various ports. Can anyone tell me if postcards are available to buy in Havana and if there is a place to buy stamps/mail them to U.S.?

There is a post office across the plaza to the right when you exit the cruise port. I mailed post cards from there that arrived in the US

  9. Hi! We were just I. The Jewel in January and enjoyed it very much. Our itinerary included St Croix, St Martin ( which still showed much storm damage), Martinique, Barbados and Grenada. On each island we either toured on foot, hired a taxi for a 4 hour tour, or used the Hop On/Off bus to sightsee. The ship itself was lovely, many nice bars for enjoying a drink some quiet some lively. My Time dining was easy to do and both food and service were great. The only con I found was the El Gaucho show, so hokey we were still laughing days later. I hope you have as much fun as we did!

  10. Debbie - I think being my third long TA cruise, I finally have the packing figured out! It WAS difficult to get it under 50lbs though! I took 5 pairs of pants for daytime (3 were leggings so they still fit just fine! Haha!), 3 pants for nighttime, 1 dress for formal nights (which I wore twice, and did pants on the 3rd one), about 8 tops for nighttime (some of which could be worn in the daytime after that), about 12 tops for daytime, 5 sundresses/cover-ups, 2 light denim jackets, 1 hoodie, 2 cardigans for dinner, and a few bathing suits. I did end up washing 2 of the daytime tops in the shower so I could re-wear them, and didn't wear 2 of the other ones i brought. In terms of shoes, I brought what could be worn with the most outfits. I'm done with bringing shoes that I only wear for 1 formal night. I brought 3 shoes for night, 2 shoes for day, and 2 sandals for day. That seemed to be the perfect amount of stuff for me, although I'm sure I could have got away with less clothes had I re-wore them more.

I don't bother with laundry onboard. I hang the majority of my clothes to dry and I don't want them getting wrecked in the ship's industrial washer/dryers. If I need to, I wash a few pieces in the shower (which then take 36 hours to dry).

Thanks for the info. You must be a good packer too to get all that into a suitcase!
