I booked a GTY balcony cabin and was just assigned cabin 10712. Can anyone tell me if the bed is positioned by the balcony instead of the closet? I've read about how to read the deck plans to see where the "bump" is but still can't figure out what bump is the bed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This afternoon I booked the burn the Floor and Second City shows for our September Breakaway cruise. However I can't find them anywhere in my reservation. Where should I be looking? Does it take a awhile to "show up"? Thanks for helping with is probably a no brainer question!

We booked during this promo. Our Breakaway cruise is in September. Our PCC sent me a chart of available Sky dates which seem to include every sailing between 9/6 and 2/27 with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.

I am a fan of the Yotel at the corner of 42nd and 10th. Walkable to port if you have a wheelie bag or a short taxi ride. Reasonably priced for the city, contemporary design, rooms are small but functional, coffee and muffins included in the AM.
Think about tickets to s Broadway show. The Times Square TKTS booth is good for last minute tickets.
Have fun!

Would you please tell me more about the parking garage on 42nd that you used that had valet service to the port? Name, cost, etc? We are going on the Breakaway in September. Many thanks!

I used bags packing cubes on the Breakaway and had no issues with storing them conveniently aboard. A big thumbs up for them!

We froze on Elation during a cruise from New Orleans last January. Very uncomfortable :-(

Let me nominate the Yotel at 42nd and 10th. With a wheelie bag it is walkable to the pier or a very short cab ride. If you book be sure to call to get the AAA discount. Not available online. Also continue to check price. Found 2 price decreases for our stay last week!

It was wonderful to read about your first time cruise! You sound like a great mother and I am certain that your children will remember this trip always!

Thank you both. Taxi it is! I am assuming there will be plenty of taxis at both airport and cruise port on the return..

We are eager for our upcoming cruise from New Orleans next week. There are four of us who will need transportation. Checking on line it appears that a taxi shared by 4 is a bit cheaper than an airport shuttle which surprised me. Do any of you have experience in this area ? Many thanks for your advice.

Just off the Sky and wines that sold for $10 or less by the glass were included. I was served specialty martinis in the Plantation lounge. The bartender rang it up as a vodka purchase ( as opposed to a martini) and used an allowable vodka not the Grey Goose described. Not certain if I broke even or not but it was nice not to have to worry about the final bill and allowed me to try drinks I might not normally try!

Like the others before me let me offer my deepest sympathies. It was so courageous of you to share your story with us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family.
