We are in Naples! No bumper to bumper today. We arrived here around 2:30 and all is well. Once again, I wanted to wish you all a healthy and safe Happy New Year!

MJ, we are still traveling. I don't remember if I mentioned it yesterday,. But after sitting on 95 for over an hour and a half, we made it into SC and made several phone calls to hotels, hoping for a room. We finally got one, thankfully. We already had reservations for the 30th since we knew where we wanted to stay. MapQuest said it would be 5 hours to our last hotel. 9 and a half hours later we made it to Gainesville FL. We were in bumper-to-bumper for the entire states of SC and Ga and all of i-95 in FL. We have made this trip for the past 22 years...this trip was by far the very worst. Luckily our stay T the Drury Hotel was wonderful! We are now about 2-3 hours from the Condo Thank you for asking!🥰

My daughters and grandchildren have been using glue guns for the gingerbread houses to speed things up in building the houses. No one eats the gingerbread houses anyway, am I right?

Thank you, Mark. After sitting in 95 for over an hour and a half, we finally began moving...and here we always dread SC!. So, we finally made it into SV and began calling hotels. After 4 calls and being told all booked up, we finally got a room for the night. Certainly not what we planned, but grateful to have gotten a bed to sleep in. Your family sand sculptures are awesome! I'm so happy for you all to be together for the Holidays!

This is so strange. No police cars, fire trucks, tow trucks going by. Everyone has turned off their car and truck engines. Can't find a news station on the radio with any info. 🤷

Thank you MJ we were about 40 miles from SC and traffic abruptly stopped. We've been sitting here for almost 45 minutes. No one knows what's going on. Even the truck drivers have no idea. I guess they don't have cb radios anymore.🤷

I'll tell you what, Virginia is no fun. We've been traveling on I-95 for quite some time now. Bumper to bumper for over 27 miles, and occasional bumper to bumper after that. Get me out of here!!!
