  1. Jim and I spent our morning painting the deck off the kitchen and 3 Season room. It was a hot and sunny day, so the paint dried quickly enough to give it the two coats. It helped that our retractable awning provided some shade for almost half of the deck. So glad it's done! Last week we power-washed the concrete around the pool. Pool opening is this Friday, when it's expected to be 90 degrees here. School gets out next Thursday around here...
  2. I'm glad to hear that you will be cruising on Adventure with dear friends of yours this August, HBE! Good to hear that you do have other cruises on your radar, and that Bella 2.0 is one of them; know that you have many friends from here who will be cruising on the Wonder.....
  3. @Momof3gurlz HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES, ANDY!!! Great Birthday present on the Slots! It sounds like it was quite a nice Birthday Weekend! 🎈🎈
  4. Well, I see our friend Ocean Boy beat me to it, by just imagining what the folks in economy received.⬇️⬇️⬇️ You beat me to it, OB!!!!😁 ⬆️⬆️⬆️
  5. It's good to know that my card will not be taken from my sight. Thank you, Globaliser😊
  6. Wow! Thank you for telling me this. I'm glad the whole credit card vs, cash topic came up, so I won't be shocked when we get there, and now know what the custom is there.
  7. Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of all of the beautiful birds in your garden. So many! And they all shared the bird food!😉
  8. Believe it or not, my DH and I have never used a credit card for a meal. Not only do we not want to give our card to a waiter who takes it away for several minutes, but my DH has always said that if we needed a credit card in order to eat out, perhaps we're better off just staying home. Old fashioned, perhaps, but that is how he feels.
  9. Thank you Cotswold. I did ask about both hotels. So much to look into. I can't wait to visit your wonderful Country!! 😃 My ancestors on my Dad's side left England back in the 1700's to come to America.
  10. Thank you for sharing your experience staying in Premier Plus rooms. After reading everyone's comments, I think I'll be going elsewhere, and will be talking with my TA and see what she suggests. Thank you again!
  11. That sounds like fun! Thank you for that suggestion! We did a nighttime Ghost Tour while in New Orleans back in 2012 and really enjoyed it.😊
  12. After reading @gumshoe958and @Island2Dweller's comments about the size of the Premier Inn rooms, I'm going to begin a new search of hotels. We plan on staying in London for 5 nights, and prior to Covid waylaying our plans back in 2021, we had reservations at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel. I'll probably just look into that hotel and talk to my TA for more input. Just reading your comment about the Tower being in the City of London, which is a city within a city with lots of history has me getting really excited about out trip! A friend of mine who grew up in England suggested we buy the Oyster card prior to our visit to get around. I've read of people finding it easier to use their credit card for travel, but I'd rather not take a chance losing my CC. Thank you for your input!
  13. Thank you for your input. This is certainly something to consider! I was hoping not to bring big luggage, but just the thought that large luggage could be an issue makes me realize how small the Premier Inn's rooms must be. Thank you!
  14. Enjoying everyone's kitty pictures! I hope everyone's weather is as beautiful as ours is here today!😉
  15. @Sea Dog Hang in there, Greg! You're getting lots of good advice from your friends on CC! This too shall pass!
  16. @helen haywood I'm glad your PT is working out for you, and that your Doc said you don't need to wear your boot to bed, Marian!
  17. @h20skibum Wishing Susan a Happy Birthday today! Your gyro looks scrumptious, and what better way to top it off then with a nice large donut! Beautiful day for a Birthday, as well as an outing outside!
  18. I am finally caught up, since I haven't been on for two days or so. It doesn't take long to fall way behind!
  19. Congratulations Marietta on your Valedictorian Grandson!!! He has certainly made you and Charlie extremely proud Grandparents. Your daughter is doing an amazing job raising your grandchildren. Your Grandson sure is one bright kid!! Happy 9th Birthday to your Grandson Zachary! He sure is a cutie!! My Grandfather was a Zachary, and one of my nephew's is also a Zachary.
  20. Beautiful blue water! Thank you for taking us along with you, JC!
