  1. This is what I got back from el cid in matzatlan

Hi we have four Resorts in Mazatlán, El Cid Castilla Beach, El Cid Moro Beach, El Cid Marina Beach ( all these three are oceanfront) The day pass fee for cruisers at El Cid Castilla and Moro is 40 USD and includes food and beverages. As for the El Cid Marina Beach, the access to our facilities is limited depending on occupancy. We suggest you to contact reservations by dialing our toll free number 1.844.330.3434 to receive more information. To learn more about our Resorts please visit our site http://www.elcid.com/ . Have a nice evening!

  2. I'd like to know as well. So far I have El Cid at El Morrow in Matzatlan. Are there any other? I think most of the other responses are for cabo but I'd like to know about matzatlan

Also, can anymore tell me if mazanillo is the same as matzatlan?

I went to Torro resorts website but I didn't see a resort in matzatlan but I did see one in mazanillo so now I'm confused  :D thanks!

  3. Does anybody know which "El Cid" property this is? I'm finding a bunch of "El Cids" in Mazatlan.

We want an all-inclusive, preferably on a nice beach. :)

I'm trying to figure this out as well. I wrote them on their Facebook page and asked them for some info. I'll come back and update for you!

  4. I can't help but to share my opinion. I'm sorry haha I personally would just do it in the states before you go? I can't imagine that they have the same safety guidelines.. Doesn't mean I think they would do anything sinister but just be careful! Are you leaving out of long beach? There are like a gazillion amazing artists in long beach and LA or in San Diego :) good luck!

  5. With one boat in port, do you think it will be crowded?

That's the one thing I think sucks about cruising , no secluded beaches lol

Thankfully we are the only boat in port the day I will be here :D

I read in the beginning of this thread that the owners were not going to do packages with the ships, skipped to the last few pages and saw that carnival had packages with them? What changed?

Anyway, I HAVE to swim with that cheetah... One thing I need to cross off the good old bucket list :D

  6. I went to page 5 and couldn't find any info about port beaches.

We are doing an early excursion and will be back at 12:30 when our ship leaves at 4:30 (I'm pretty sure).

We aren't interested in shopping so I was hoping there was a nice beach next to where we tender, or at least in walking distance.

    Please advise

    Thanks in advance :D

  7. Well, I just figured that there was nothing they could do. They can't stop washing the dishes, you know? They didn't do anything when my husband asked them to keep it down and they certainly didn't do anything at 3:30 in the morning when someone screamed at them haha

No biggie, just thought i'd share....

  8. If you are a light sleeper stay away from this balcony room. Across the hall they wash dishes alllllll night long.... Clink clank clink clank...

It didn't bother me that much except for the nights I had troubles sleeping... And the night when my neighbor was banging on the door at 3:30 am to tell them to knock off the noise. :D

  9. We took the ferry over with our gear and towels. We parked our stuff, walked up the coast, jumped in and drift snorkeled back to our stuff.

It was so funny, I had a book open on my towel, and when we got back there was a hermit crab about as big around as a CD, sitting on my book moving his claws around the words:D.

The snorkeling was terrific, we stayed all day. I think the ferry was something like $14.00 each round trip.

We walked to the ferry from the dock. Very easy.

If you can't get a tour, I'd suggest going on the ferry.

    That's so awesome!

  10. I guess it would all depend on how much time you have. I am going to be there on the 12 but only from 7am-2... I haven't been able to find a tour that is both land and sea.. I'm having to pick one or the other.

I suggest picking snorkeling because it's suppose to be some of the best.

I'd like to do both as well so if anyone knows?

The Boniare threads seem to be slow moving..

  11. I'm trying to find a company to do a snorkel your but I'm doing it last minute so most are booked. Now I'm looking through the cruise ship. These are the descriptions of both,

    bonaire national marine park

Bonaire's celebrated Marine Park protects the island's most-precious natural resource. Turtles, rays, and fish of every imaginable color abound in the pristine waters of the park.

    Klein Bonaire

The protected waters of the Bonaire Marine Park surround this uninhabited islet. Its clear water and healthy reefs make for outstanding snorkeling and diving.

The. Marine park sounds rad but everyone speaks highly of Klein.

Actually this is the tour over view for the marine park, anyone know what hotel they drop you off at?

Enjoy a guided shore snorkel in Bonaire National Marine Park with free time on the beach. Your tour begins as you board your open-air transportation for a short drive to 18th Palm Beach and the marine park. After receiving snorkeling equipment and a lesson, you'll follow your guide into the water and snorkel among fish of every imaginable color. Snorkeling equipment, a snorkel vest, and instruction are included. You'll cap your beach adventure off with free time on the beach and a complimentary beverage. Explore the bar, the restaurant and the casino. Play beach volleyball or simply relax on your complimentary beach lounge. Snorkeling equipment, a snorkel vest, and instruction are included.

What do you all think? Thanks!!

  12. Yes! That is exactly how I like to watch movies!

I usually end up watching the latest show time... By the time it's over both my husband and my mother are usually passed out next to me lol

    Thanks for all the reviews!

  13. I am sailing on the Emerald in 10 days time, a friend has just left the Emerald a few weeks ago. I got them to leave a towel, 2 books and a Princess bag on my favorite deck chair for when I get on next week. It is ok to do this isn't it.

Hahaa no, I'll be on the same cruise and I'll be looking out for you ;)

    Or are you kidding lol
