  1. We were in that room 2 years ago on a Charleston Bermuda cruise. After a sleepless night we went to guest services. They were not much help. Being elite we went to the Captain’s club hostess. She was amazing. We were relocated to a Concierge cabin on deck 7. As well we each received $200 future cruise credit.

We love those new cabins on Deck 3 but have since only chosen balconies. Now that others have identified this specific cabin we may go back to another cabin on deck 3. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Highly recommend the Ascent. We’ve sailed all the E Class ships and love the Infinite Verandas. We have Exel booked for February 2025. We will be on the Equinox Transatlantic in November. As a retired teacher it’s so nice to cruise whenever we want. Glad to read your awesome review. Welcome to the Celebrity Family!

  3. Our passports were set to expire early in 2025. But we have a cruise in November and one in February. Three weeks ago we went to our local Service Canada location on a Friday afternoon and our passports arrived back at our doorstep on Wednesday morning. Not bad turn around time considering it was over a weekend. We’re good for another 10 years!

  4. We have been very impressed by all of the workers at Port Everglades. We were there twice in the last year. In December we boarded the Ascent where a wonderful older man man took time to explain the meaning of the Menorah at the base of the escalators.  He was working the same area in February when we boarded the Silhouette. What a great way to start a vacation, with smiling employees!

As a couple who were fortunate to retire early we appreciate all those seniors who are still working and do not have the same opportunities that we have. Our children are successful millennials who travel extensively with their families and are also very positive and grateful adults.

  5. We are already  booked on the Xcel for February 2026. What you do on a cruise is a personal choice. You can participate ( and pay) for as many activities as you like. That doesn’t change the ambiance of the ship. We cruise to relax, be served meals, have our room cleaned and enjoy all the music on board. We love edge class ships, have cruised them all and we really enjoy the infinite verandas. We are looking forward to more lovely surprises on the Xcel. We are just happy that we can cruise when many in the world will never have the opportunity.

  6. We have never enjoyed the canapes and are happy that they are not cluttering up our space. If we are sitting on our balcony in the afternoon we find it easy to just slip up to buffet and bring something fresher and more appetizing back to our room. On Ascent in December in Cafe Albacio in the afternoon there were lovely fresh mini buns with fillings … ham and cheeses, salmon, or veggie varieties. For those with concerns the display case is kept cool and the bites are fresh.

  7. Love the Infinite Verandas, nothing better than waking up in a Norwegian Fjord with a floor to ceiling view on Apex last June. We were also on the Ascent on December 10th cruise and loved it for a Caribbean cruise. We’ll be on Silhouette in a few weeks. I know that we will once again enjoy a traditional balcony. So many choices…so little time!

  8. We sailed Apex in June to Norway and Ascent in December as well as a maiden voyage on Edge. We love them all. As a result we’ve booked Xcel for February 2026. Next sail is on Silhouette in a few weeks. It will be interesting to have a full balcony for a change. We do love the Infinite Verandas and the extra space in our room. Bottom line…every cruise is great and better than staying home.

  9. Look up the Hop on Hop off bus for Geirangefjord. It leaves regularly from behind the visitors centre. No reservations required. We used it and got off at the Fjord Centre on the way down and then walked down the steps by all the waterfalls, absolutely amazing. I can’t think of a better way to see Geiranger and way cheaper than similar excursions offered by the ship. Enjoy

Thank you for sharing a Good News story! We’ve always been treated very well by Celebrity. Enjoy your cruise. As a retired teacher, I know how much you deserve a great holiday.

  11. I hope their new service to Florida is better than their service within Canada. Last week our son was scheduled to fly from Halifax to Ottawa and his flight was cancelled at the last moment and rescheduled for 2 days later. He had to rebook an Air Canada flight and a hotel room.

In both March and August our daughter and baby were flying from Ottawa through Toronto to Windsor. In March she was forced to spend all day at Billy Bishop because of delayed and cancelled flights. In August a similar situation arose however that time the connecting flight from Toronto to Windsor was rescheduled to the next morning with an unexpected overnight stay in Toronto with a baby.

We have flown with Porter from Windsor to Toronto and from Windsor to Newark NJ with no problems. However at the moment I am looking for other options.

  12. Last year on Summit we had some issues with our cabin. We were moved to a new cabin and also given Future Cruise Credits. We are having a difficult time making Celebrity travel agents apply these credits. We have now sent photos of the certificates and are awaiting a reply. Has anyone else run into this? How was it resolved?
