  1. What deck are you on? We just got off Silhouette on Thursday. We were on deck 7 and noticed that in the morning the toilet bowl was almost at the top with water. It would take a couple of flushes to get it back to normal. We thought there might be a leak somewhere.
  2. We board on February 26th. What a lovely positive review.

    XCEL

We booked February XCEL 2026 while we were on a December Ascent. We love E Class and will just be there to enjoy the ship not the ports.
  4. Never hurts to pick up a chocolate or lemon tart while you’re there😀😀!
  5. We have never enjoyed the canapes and are happy that they are not cluttering up our space. If we are sitting on our balcony in the afternoon we find it easy to just slip up to buffet and bring something fresher and more appetizing back to our room. On Ascent in December in Cafe Albacio in the afternoon there were lovely fresh mini buns with fillings … ham and cheeses, salmon, or veggie varieties. For those with concerns the display case is kept cool and the bites are fresh.
  6. Scones and cream as well small sandwiches are available in the buffet late in the afternoon near the entrance to the pool.
  7. There arepickle ball courts in the rooftop garden area. We watched people play one morning. Warning…it is quite windy up there at times making control of the ball a little difficult.
  8. Love the Infinite Verandas, nothing better than waking up in a Norwegian Fjord with a floor to ceiling view on Apex last June. We were also on the Ascent on December 10th cruise and loved it for a Caribbean cruise. We’ll be on Silhouette in a few weeks. I know that we will once again enjoy a traditional balcony. So many choices…so little time!
  9. We sailed Apex in June to Norway and Ascent in December as well as a maiden voyage on Edge. We love them all. As a result we’ve booked Xcel for February 2026. Next sail is on Silhouette in a few weeks. It will be interesting to have a full balcony for a change. We do love the Infinite Verandas and the extra space in our room. Bottom line…every cruise is great and better than staying home.
  10. We were on Apex last June. Geiranger Fjord was amazing. Be sure to go to the Fjord Centre and walk down the stairs along the waterfalls. A bonus for us were the rainbows as we left Geirnager.
  11. Look up the Hop on Hop off bus for Geirangefjord. It leaves regularly from behind the visitors centre. No reservations required. We used it and got off at the Fjord Centre on the way down and then walked down the steps by all the waterfalls, absolutely amazing. I can’t think of a better way to see Geiranger and way cheaper than similar excursions offered by the ship. Enjoy
  12. Thank you for sharing a Good News story! We’ve always been treated very well by Celebrity. Enjoy your cruise. As a retired teacher, I know how much you deserve a great holiday.
  13. Very nice itinerary, our neighbours did a similar cruise with Viking last year. Our grandson has spent the last two summers with Briggs Youth Sailing on the tall ships that do the same route. Wonderful experience for young people…but no fine dining!
  14. Beat antidote to all this negativity is to join your Roll Call. There you will find lots of happy people anticipating a wonderful cruise!
  15. We had an IV on the Apex in June to Norway, we loved it. But we also love everything about the Edge class ships. Our next sailing is on the Silhouette in February. So we’ll see how we feel about the difference. We find every class of Celebrity ship has unique features. We really liked the refurbished Summit.
  16. I hope their new service to Florida is better than their service within Canada. Last week our son was scheduled to fly from Halifax to Ottawa and his flight was cancelled at the last moment and rescheduled for 2 days later. He had to rebook an Air Canada flight and a hotel room. In both March and August our daughter and baby were flying from Ottawa through Toronto to Windsor. In March she was forced to spend all day at Billy Bishop because of delayed and cancelled flights. In August a similar situation arose however that time the connecting flight from Toronto to Windsor was rescheduled to the next morning with an unexpected overnight stay in Toronto with a baby. We have flown with Porter from Windsor to Toronto and from Windsor to Newark NJ with no problems. However at the moment I am looking for other options.
  17. Really enjoyed your post with all the pictures. We are boarding Apex on June 18th. The excitement is mounting!
  18. Last year on Summit we had some issues with our cabin. We were moved to a new cabin and also given Future Cruise Credits. We are having a difficult time making Celebrity travel agents apply these credits. We have now sent photos of the certificates and are awaiting a reply. Has anyone else run into this? How was it resolved?
  19. We will be sailing on the Apex in June. Which restaurant hosts the Elite breakfast?
  20. A few years ago we rented a car and turned it in on site at Disney and the rental agency provided a shuttle to our resort. Like you we could not find any other reasonable options.
  21. The Theatre performance in Saguenay is not to be missed. Also docking there is amazing with a very warm welcome. That port was the highlight of our vacation!!
  22. Thanks for your positive review. We will be sailing on Silhouette later this year.
  23. We sailed on the Summit in May and had filet mignon several nights from the children’s menu. It is still listed on the Celebrity site.
  24. We like to bring our insulated coffee mugs to Cafe Al Bacio in the morning. Handles make it easier bring hot coffee back to our balcony. You can also put a small pastry on top. My husband can carry two mugs and 2 pastries and still have a hand free to push the elevator buttons.
