  1. That's what I thought. Unless you need it (as in going to South America) you won't have had it.
  2. It is not a timetabled service like a train which will run a predetermined route at a fixed time. It is more like a charter which will change timings and route according to the passenger numbers etc. So until all bookings are made 35 days prior to departure nothing can be confirmed.
  3. I agree. The route, therefore timings, cannot be confirmed until they know how many passengers are wanting to use the service and, where they want picking up. Bookings can ge taken up to 35 days before departure so nothing can be confirmed until after that.
  4. This is common with P&O (possibly all cruise lines) passengers. "I was ill on board therefore it is their fault". Never let the truth (scientific facts) spoil a good story (insurance/law claim).
  5. It is highly unlikely that the hep a was contracted on board as it has a two to six week incubation period.
  6. Pick up from Carlisle is usually 5am. So I would imagine it would be 7am or 7.30am. I would have thought that three weeks is more than ample time to book a taxi as I have never had a problem.
  7. Just to clarify. Ships do not do back to back cruises (b2b). Or rather all ships do b2b cruises in that they do one cruise after another! it refers to passengers who book two cruises, one after the other, on the same ship. Normally these passengers can stay on board for "changeover day". But in this case they are being asked to leave the ship so fumigation can take place more effectively without risk to said passengers.
  8. From what I can remember (I didn't attend any, just remembering what I read in The Horizon) there was glass painting, origami, card making and such like. It was things that could be fitted into a 45 minute slot with no continuity between sessions.
  9. They didn't in April/May. Just the 'creative waves" sessions.
  10. That is what we are saying. The "come and get me price" in the advertising is for the lowest grade cabin in that category. If you pick a higher grade cabin you will pay more.
  11. You are misreading the "headline price". It was always say somewhere "prices from £××××". It is an advert, like sale prices online will shout "upto 50% off".
  12. It is ALWAYS the price for lowest grade.
  13. Depends on the number of eligible passengers and available staff.
  14. Each policy is different. You'll have to check yours. Personally cruise cover has always included missed ports.
  15. It depends on how many high tier passengers rhere are. It varies from cruise to cruise.
  16. That happened when boarding Aurora in April. Some did receive the email and some didn't. We wondered if I wa something to do with opting out of certain categories of email (marketing for example).
  17. You will get a pager. Aurora doesn't use the app for mdr dinner bookings.
  18. As I said above it's on all ships.
  19. That's on all ships since April.
  20. There again i've never seen a two litre bottle of squash look anything like a bottle of spirits.
  21. I mean the staff won't make a big deal of a simple process that it is already in place for other contraband.
  22. Obviously they can't. They will ask you to take the bottle out of the bag and show them. If it is alcoholic (unless it is the permitted bottle of wine) they will confiscate it until the end of the cruise. If it is anything else they will thank you for co-opering and wish you a happy holiday. Don't make such a big deal out of a simple process.
  23. If the company is that engaging that I can't tear myself away of course I do! I wouldn't dream of hogging a dinner table once I'd finished my meal. I would be too aware of other people waiting to eat, or the staff waiting for you to leave so they can go to bed!
