  1. The idea of joining a table were others maybe well into their meal does seem a bit odd but I'm guessing it must work otherwise they'd be a set dinning time, your other table companions will no doubt be aware as well so I can't see it being a problem.

I don't think you will be able to dine in the Britannia restaurant for dinner as this is set dinning times with allocated tables however breakfast and lunch is free seating which I'm sure you will be able to experience.

I'm booked in a grills suite later on in the year (November) travelled with Cunard before but never in Queens grill and be honest the amount I've paid you'll have to drag me out of that restuarant..😀

  2. A couple of years ago after getting in to our stateroom I went to re set the safe only to find a passport and wallet inside so it does happen....needless to say we called the pursers office straight away.

  3. Forgot to say,if the port authorities insist on safety grounds that transport is made available then I think it's free, but if that's not the case and Cunard lay on a coach and you wish to take advantage of it instead of walking then it's chargeable...

I read it on voyage p along with which ports etc..

    (Chargeable for saver fare)

  4. For those that have been offered a "paid for upgrade" has Cunard made the offer to good to refuse or has it been a small reduction to the brochure price, have you thought wow and jumped at the chance or thought no it's not worth it?

  5. That is why if a passenger takes the auto tip off, the affected crew have to turn in any thing given them or risk being caught with the money and sent home at their own expense.

CWN,Just out of interest,if a passenger keeps the auto tip in place and also tips extra on top, the person receiving the extra amount do they still have to declare it?

  6. So are the extra tips now expected as well as the $11-13 per day...I only ask because on our last cruise we kept the automatic tip in place as well as tipping our room steward on top, the waiting staff we didn't (purely because we ran out of dollars) and as the automatic tipping was in place we felt any on top was discretionary...what is the correct procedure now?

  7. Ha ha.....I tell you what if I end up in anything above a Q4/5 I'll be amazed but also happy with a Q6,love the idea of being aft.

Our first time in QG,we've always been the ones pushing our faces up against the QG restaurant screaming "that could have been us"...and now of course for this time it is,so looking forward to it and a real treat..
