We received some wonderful news tonight. The Doctors are virtually certain that My Sister's mass is benign. We will know for certain by Friday - but the doctors told her not to worry. Surgery will be required, but they've opted to wait a while, to see if it increases in size.

So pleased youand mom was able to go on the cruise. How is your sister doing.? Have been looking for updates from you, hope all is well with her.!

So poor Perry has been moved.? Oh dear do you think they will keep him down there.? As from what I have heard it is not a good place to see anything.? I And I should imagine Perry is not too happy about it himslef. Last Nov he was always full it would be a shame not to have him somewhere large enough for a good group.

Will you be sailing the Eclipse on Nov 23rd this year after all.? I do hope so. it was lovely to see you and your family. By the way last year in St Lucia do you remember the tour? for your aunt and uncle? I am doing it again.?

It is performed on the last sea day....usually on the pool deck if it is sunny, last year it was after the pool volley ball. but keep an eye out for it. But they will not say it is the flash mob directly. They will most likely say something like they have something special happening. The Mob are not allowed to tell anyone when it is so it will be a surpise to everyone.

My husband and I did the flash mob..thriller. last novemeber on the Eclipse. It was great fun. We practised every sea day and then on the last sea day we did it live.! It really was fun. Thinking of doing it again this year as well. When I look back at the video I realise what a mess I looked but who cares I was on holiday.!

Bermuda beaches: fecal contamination often four times 'acceptable' level

On 31 March 2014 the following security message was released: "The U.S. Consulate General in Hamilton, Bermuda, informs U.S. citizens of a public concern regarding the contamination of beaches. A scientific study conducted in 2013 by the University of Laval, the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, the Bermuda Departments of Conservation, Health, and Environment, and the Bermuda Central Government Laboratory reports that ongoing dumping of raw sewage off Bermuda's south coast causes intermittent contamination of the waters along the island's south shore beaches, creating a public health hazard. "Changing weather conditions - wind, swells, tides, and rain - can bring rapid degradation of water quality along the beaches, resulting in human bacteria levels from fecal contamination up to four times the acceptable U.S. standard. In 2013, as many as five of the beaches were described as "unfit for recreational use" on different occasions based on water samples. "According to the study, possible negative health effects for swimmers include gastroenteritis, ear infections, respiratory illnesses, and staph infections. In addition, as a general medical matter, persons exposed to sewage-contaminated water face increased risk of Hepatitis A, eye infections, and typhoid. Those who intend to enter the waters along the south shore may wish to consider Hepatitis A and typhoid immunizations prior to doing so. The Government of Bermuda has announced that it plans to take measures to reduce or treat the outfall, but as of March 2014, the dumping continues unabated."

The Captains Club coupons have changed in recent weeks, and would not be eligible for use. FWIW, the coupons are only supposed to be used on your current sailing - so I wouldn't try and use them anyway.

 

I truly wish that our wonderful community members would stop with this lowly & class discussion nonsense. All it does, is create arguments, and thread lockdowns. No matter what level of Captains Club anyone is, it does not make any single one of us better than anyone else.

Anyway as you said this class thing is silly.! But some people do act as if they are something special if they are "Higher". But after all what do you do in the cabins? Sleep!!! well one room looks like another when you are asleep doesnt it.? I am not bothered about getting "nibbles" in the afternoon. If I am hungry I can always find something to eat.? And after doing a cabin crawl last year it went to show seeing higher class cabins where just that...higher in the ship.! Nothing else was bigger. Well until you got into a suite anyway. Or prehaps a shower head was different.???? In fact one fellow cruiser said to me he had paid about $200 more for his cabin than mine and he was just the floor above us.....right above us.!

Cheaper you pay more you have to spend is my answer.!

Where/when else do the chocolate fountains appear?

In answer to that is they do not appear at all anywhere.? Such a shame.

To be honest I will not miss it but I expect my husband will. Why though I really do not know as the food, as others have said. was the same that we could have anyday. Also eating 2nd in the evening the midnight buffet was also a waste. But I loved to see the veg and fruit creations. And also loveeeed the chocolate items. Again a waste at that time of night for me. I would loved to have had the chocolate items as afternoon tea. Just the right time of day for me.! lol

But if they keep on dropping things then people are going to try another cruise line I fear. Like chocolate on the pillow each night has stopped and is now only on Formal Nights. The same as the towel animals..we only had one the whole cruise last year.!

Bill and I was sad to hear of your sisters illness. We would like you to know we are thinking of her in the coming weeks and send out love to you and dear mum.

Hope we see you again this year on the Eclipse in November. It was so good to meet you last year and really enjoyed the fun we had with the Gift Exchange.

Liqueur coffee is a general term for any number of drinks of coffee with a shot of liqueur. As folks have mentioned, Irish Coffee and Spanish Coffee are popular versions of liqueur coffees.

Yes Padraic that is just what I meant. But of course in the UK we just say which spirit we would like in it. Many thanks I will look into which liqueur is called what before I go this year.

Also if you had the 123 deal would that be included or not do you think?

Sorry to ask another drinks questions but last year someone on our table asked for a liquor coffee and the waiter had no idea what she was talking about. When the lady explained it was a brandy in a glass with coffee and cream on the top they said ok. They when came back with a glass of brandy, a cup of coffee and small jug of cream. They had no idea what she meant. Has anyone else had this problem on a Celebrity ship.?

Also on the list of drinks I didn't see any frozen margaritas and the prices or Cosmos.? Can you get these on the 123 offer.?

I am trying to help my friends from a cruise we are going on in November. The people who will be driving down to Miami are looking for a Hotel precruise and leave there car there for the cruise.

Someone has told us there are cars stolen from these car parking places. But there must be a good hotel that other people have used and it has been fine.?

Could I have some recommendations on these hotels please.? That you have used and have been ok.?

Well our flights from the UK are expensive to start with. And then we look for a Balcony stateroom if it is the right price for us. If not just make do with an Ocean view. Have also tried inside. We can only afford 1 cruise a year. And are very happy that we can do that.Could never be able to have a suite or anything near it....but then why would I want one.? We only sleep and change in our cabin we are still going to the same islands and seeing the same things on board as everyone else. I am very happy with what I have thankyou.!

Yes it would be good if you could see around the ship, especially if you have friends or family that have never really fancied it. It would let them see just what we love about the cruises and maybe come with us next time.

Hi just had a thought.? When you are getting on board for the first time can visitors come on with you, as long as they are off before sailway.?
