In my opinion, the Window Suites on Grand (Golden & Caribbean) are some of the best cabins in the fleet.  They typically sell for the price of a CC mini, they are HUGE and the central location is difficult to beat, they have full suite amenities.  The only downside is, no balcony, they are too close to the waterline for that.  We sail Friday, probably our last sailing before Grand repositions away from San Francisco, and we're looking forward to our beloved Fiesta suite.  Be aware that F301 is a bit smaller than the other cabins (still 2x larger than a normal stateroom though).  F315 is a handicapped cabin.  The others F303, 305, 307, 309 & 311 are identical aside from reversing layout cabin to cabin.  F301 is head of the bed towards the bow, alternating from there.

I would miss the balcony too much.  I know you mentioned that no balcony is a downside.  Different strokes...  I definitely need my balcony🙂️⛴🐋🌈🐬🌠

This is off topic a bit but, can I ask you if there were any negatives to D736?  I booked the premium balcony room right next door to it for Alaska.  I can't imagine it would be a bad room.... but, there is no info on that room here on CC.  I guess if it were awful, someone would have mentioned it by now.  😉

It is a great room!  Great views for Alaska, where I have totally enjoyed Tracy Arm and Snow Pass.  Am looking forward to Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier in that room, too.  Enjoy!

please try to be considerate - if somebody wants to stop doing something it should be voluntary (extra support would be really helpful)

As an ex-smoker, I can say that of course it has to be voluntary:  you have to want to quit.  But extra motivation like this can be helpful, too.  (I smoked for 22 years, and no one liked smoking more than me.  I have been smoke free for 33 years now.)

I know 3 days is not that long, but maybe  wait and see what happens  by Wednesday. Perhaps Princess will issue a statement.  In the mean time, maybe call them and let them know the reporting out of Hong Kong?  Not saying Princess will do anything though.

I can understand your disappointment.  Good luck!  Let us know your decision.  If you do go I would be interested hearing how it is going.

I agree with waiting three days.   I also agree about calling Princess.

PS - I have a Hawaii cruise from LA in March.  Who knows, maybe things will be better or worse by then.  Also, I live I Chicago, where there are 2 cases confirmed, so far.  Again, who knows?  I am saying this to let you know I have concerns.

  5. Great tip for Apple products.  Thanks.

i was having trouble, too.  I heard that Chrome works well, so I used a computer at Fed Ex Office,  and there I printed boarding passes and luggage tags with ease.

A beautiful clean facility with nice computers, too.

  6. There will be fewer teens on this cruise than there would be during the summer.

Still,  this would be a great time to go!  Everything is less crowded.  Teens, as well as teachers and college professors, are in school.

i am not from the Los Angeles area, so I can't advise on going to Universal Studios and Magic Mountain on your own.

I had a great time on my New Zealand cruise, and I know you will have a great timeon your cruise🙂
