As requested the eats will be: Chili X slathered generously upon tri-tip kissed with garlic salt; roasted vegiis drizzled with shuana, chicken crusted with ginger and red hots,,and a chili ancho cake for dessert. Good Morning! Less than a year to go before we get onboard the Venezia. The board being a quiet place- nothing new since 2006 (for me anyway). I am sad the computer programs that allowed animation, publishing tools and pizzazz at my finger tips has been discontinued. Having access to Excel, Windows and other programs allowed people to have a creative explosion😁 I am not complaining. Just noticing that there have been major changes in how I interact on line. It used to be that I book a cruise and post here to start the Roll Call. Yep, I would be alone for a time and then one person would come and visit, sporadically. That would be all to make me happy. Closer to the date of sailing, sign-ups for dinner before boarding, independent hosting meet and mingle sign-up, bar/ casino run, cabin crawl and many surprises were planned. Sounds kinda old fashioned in print. But it was actually fun. The group that became part of the roll call was always small and were computer savvy. The groups became larger on the ship bc activities were on the bulletin board and DH and I put reminders on cabin phones. Since the last time I began a Roll Call, there has been explosion of everybody having cell phone(mini computers), FB , and You Tube... The freedom of reading forums from different sailings on CC has transferred over. I have been able to enjoy the Venezia sailing from New York Harbor and enjoy the multitude of photos of Ducks, Hearts, happy, tired people on vacation, from my home- waaay before I leave from Port Canaveral. And see that a recent sailing has over 1.5k people. Can't imagine such a Meet and Mingle🤣 Enjoy

So happy that he is home and has your love and care to keep him going. Four months from now you will be sailing smooth waters and the sun will be warming you and no housework😁 BC Butterfly Gardens and Museum had daily videos, last year was raining and cold too! While in Hawaii, I embarrassingly wore a sweater/coat 4 nights and a couple of early mornings. Didn't make it into the water🙃 Praying that your husband recovers his health and confidence again. Long time being "not himself" Maybe last year wasn't really great for travel. Had less than "great time" on VV. Loved road trip in Fla. While in Hawaii Husband got two citations bc our friend's car registration was overdue. All we should have gotten was a warning. So we took public transportation to and from Waikiki. Yup- Man exiting front of bus(I was far away from front of bus- I know better) He locked eyes with me and bolted towards me and pushed me. So when I returned to the precinct to share my experience, guess who happened to be in the office and told the other officer she could handle this? Ms Tory Have a wonderful week Hugs

Happy 2024 to all who have travel and cruising in their blood! The ASI group is traveling to San Francisco to board a Princess ship on Feb. 9th. DH and I will be with balloons and Bon Voyaging!!!!(CA) Paul(solo)- new to cruising- has booked in October-Princess also- to the Western Caribbean as a intro to his dream cruise to Alaska.(Texas) This morning I was on a chat with Anita who is flying to Miami to board in February- She keeps all secretive, but since we had just been to Miami in Oct she had questions.(Vermont) Hawaii during Christmas

RoLoHa- Hope you and you husband are well and were able to enjoy the Christmas holiday! How joyful 2024 is here and will be so much better than the last three years! We were in a Hawaii (gifted) and had an 18 yo male( first year college student) pet and house sitter. He had use of our car and gas card. I made a call asking him if I should come home(after 3rd day).... You can stop laughing... Really.......Yup was told "You don't need to come home" Yup- calls started like- " What are your plans for today?" " Any problems we can help with?" Didn't matter what he said or what we asked, he did what he wanted , the way he wanted and made us feel like the worst people in the world bc we were inquiring about his actions. Makes me want to start fund raisers for all parents of 18-25 year olds! At the train station.

Happy Saturday morning! DH emailed this message: "Another price increase of 4% today. When we booked, it was $1949 per person for a suite. Today $2379 per person." Third increase since the day we booked in October. I wonder how much everyone will have ended up saving by the time we sail... 😁 Nine more days before Christmas. Wishing safe travels to all that have plans. Wishing many smiles and happiness along the way.

BUT if you were at home, you have have dishes to wash.... The hospital is close to a mall- food court?- oops- It is Sunday and they don't open til 11. yup- you are gunna starve! 😁Thought about you both= picture. May the prayers and hopes reach you both as your husband gets better ! hugs

Hip Hip HooRay! Our friend Paul has just booked his first ever cruise with Princess. DH has been doing research and providing guidance. It is all I can do to keep him from joining Paul! If Paul enjoys this experience (solo) he plans to book a trip to Alaska. We are so excited🥰

At this time, the best I can imagine is dinner after our cruise? Husband is looking for any reason to return, but we are having a struggle finding care for house and pets for the up coming land trip. For VV trip, we had two college aged girls- no experience- they didn't burn the house, but didn't get the mail and didn't really.... until three days before we returned. We got phone calls 2-3x a day with questions that should have been asked at the beginning. And they took our 3 ply bath paper rolls! 😂😁Hugs

If you go during Christmas, maybe we can meet and we will treat to dinner. That would be really fun! So nice to talk with a person who makes long range plans! Yay cruising community😁

So hope his recovery is good enough to sail! Oh my! Bc of the way this scrolls. right in front of my eyes I see you were on Mariner? We love that ship😁We no longer live by a port. I am so happy to know a person who does and is enjoying the water! I will wish you an early Bon Voyage just bc time is getting pretty crazy due to holiday life and bc of the time of the year, May you have smooth seas, clear skies and sunsets better than those in Florida😁

RoLoHa, Hope your Thanksgiving went awesome! We were in Miami- South Beach before we hopped on the Scarlet Lady in Oct. Ship is not for us. Loved the op to be in our fav. state! Spent in time in St Pete's, visited Key Largo enjoyed the drive to Orlando for business. It is really hard to be in Florida and not be wowed! It is the people, the warm water, gardens, animal life. ....... Back to reality: Wishing you an early Bon Voyage, smooth sailings, and sunsets that can only be experienced on the water Hugs
