  1. Sounds like our 10 day experience we had 3800. Divina is a beautiful ship but she simply cannot accommodate that many guests comfortably, especially on sea days. Our best day was when we stayed on the ship in Panama when most got off. It felt like we could finally breathe lol We gave up on the buffet for breakfast after the first couple of days. It was just so crazy there. I hope you’re having nice weather!
  2. YC is a lot more than an extra $500. Try an extra $5,000 price difference between the lowest category and YC. If it were only $500 more it wouldn’t really be anything extra special.
  3. @phissyI remember you posting about sea turtles at OC. Could that be why this area is closed?
  4. Here’s a link. This is right on the MSC site if the link doesn’t take you to the exact page. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/-/media/us/documents/Booking-Terms-and-Conditions-221115-FINAL.pdf
  5. It’s unfortunate for sure. Sadly our last MSC cruise a few weeks ago was a similar experience. Their pricing is so much less than the rest that we saw a change in the passengers this time from our first 2 MSC cruises. I do think cruising during New Years was part of the problem, so hopefully you won’t have that experience. Divina has a designated cigar lounge. (Not sure what ship you’re going on) Hope you have a positive experience!
  6. Your TA isn’t aware that your deposit is non refundable if you cancel. Here is the chart showing what the penalties are. You may want to send this to him/her p
  7. As far as I know YC deposits are not refundable so you would lose more by cancelling. I have had good luck in the past getting things like this added to an existing reservation by calling MSC. Especially before final payment is made.
  8. On Divina the outside stairs are accessible and bring you right up to the buffet and one deck up from that the adult pool. We used them all the time. We were able to use the aft elevators too.
  9. So what is making you jump ship from Carnival to MSC? I know we gave up on Carnival about 10 years ago because of the rise of “over indulgers” who couldn’t handle their alcohol. So I’m interested in hearing what’s finally made you leave!
  10. I remember you guys like the aft facing rooms too. A lot of the balconies are larger too! Didn’t you guys just switch your original booked room when an aft facing became available on an upcoming cruise too?
  11. We choose aft facing on any ship we can. We love it. We have not cruised on Mera but two of our 3 cruises on Divina were in aft facing rooms. On Divina we experienced vibration when the thrusters were being used other than that we had only 1 night of substantial movement heading back to Port Canaveral in Nov 2021. We absolutely LOVE aft facing rooms. Nothing like sitting on your balcony watching that wake. You scored a great room considering you paid for the Bella experience. Enjoy!
  12. I wish they still made the 2 day patch, I used it on a few trips without a problem.
  13. @Muushkayour husband is very lucky the scopolamine patch doesn’t give him any adverse reactions. I used them a few times years ago without any problems. Back then the patch lasted 2 days. The last prescription I got it said they lasted 3 days. I guess it’s stronger now or the pharmacist gave me a different brand. Not sure. So I put it on and after 3 days I changed it and then by day 6 I started experiencing pins and needles on the left side of my face, mouth and neck. My lips were so numb I couldn’t speak right. I thought I was having a stroke. It was very scary. The doctor on board told me it was most likely from the patch as my BP and vitals were normal and that was the only medication I was on. He removed the patch and put me on a saline IV to help flush it out of my system but it took over 24hrs before the pins and needles feeling disappeared completely. It scared me enough that I never used it again, especially after the doctor told me he sees this reaction often. If anyone has these symptoms when using it remove it immediately and see the doctor.
  14. lol That’s the Divina cruise we were aft facing neighbors with you guys in 2021 right? That ride back to Port Canaveral on the last night was wild lol OP try MotionEaze it is a topical all natural oil that you put behind your ear. Walmart sometimes has it but Amazon always has it. I get motion sickness sitting on a raft in a pool so I feel your pain. I don’t let it stop me from cruising though. Someone at our dinner table gave me this stuff on a cruise years ago because I was sick. I’ve never used anything since. It really works and it doesn’t make you drowsy or have dry mouth like the patch did for me.
  15. I just looked at the 9 day leaving 11/19. The rooms do look limited. That’s Thanksgiving week which is probably why they are only showing rooms for 2. I have to say that is the first time I have ever seen that. I would stay away from the holiday weeks if you can. Just cruised over New Years and it wasn’t fun at all.
  16. I’ve never had this happen when I book. I’m not sure why you’re only able to see a limited number of rooms. That’s odd. I can see a wide variety of rooms when I try to do a mock booking. I’ve never had to call and ask for the aft balcony even though they can accommodate 4 people (because they have a sleeper sofa) I’ve had good luck I guess. They are a higher category than a basic balcony though. Could that impact your search results? Do a mock booking but choose the higher category room not the lowest that is included in the price. Slide to the right and choose the higher category.
  17. I don’t leave home without them lol. One reason I love JetBlue is they have outlets in the seats so I use the heating pad on the flight as well. I also bring this portable heating pad for excursions it can run off of this charging bank. This charger fits perfectly in the pocket of the heating pad. Can you tell I’ve had a few spine surgeries 🤦🏻‍♀️
  18. I’ve had very good luck putting them in my carry on bag. The security folks at the ports have never said anything to me about my hair irons or heating pads.
  19. That looks nothing like what I see when booking on the MSCUSA site. Are you using a non US MSC site ?
  20. What ship and sailing? I always book Fantastica aft facing balconies.
  21. The bright side…maybe we can try some of the new Carnival ships because their party crowd will be on the less expensive MSC cruises 🤷🏻‍♀️
  22. Hmmm I’ve booked all of our MSC cruises online myself and have booked rooms that hold 4 people even though there are only 2 of us.
  23. I have never had any of my hair irons confiscated. I put them in my carry on along with my heating pads for my back. Just cruised as recent as 12/30-01/13. The only irons I’ve seen confiscated are clothes irons
