Once folks started reporting that the Key seats are in the same area as suites/P then you know there are seating issues - which on some ships/venues has been known to be not so good. The perks never said you are getting good seats.

The wording I’ve seen would imply that you are getting the best seats.

    Taken from the website.

Start your day off right with priority port of call debarkation. Then score the best seats in the house for our onboard shows when you reserve your spot in Cruise Planner up to 72 hours before your sailing.

Never heard of that rule before.

I can recall in the 70's drinking cider with my parents. Didnt realise there was legiaslation covering this.

    Learn something every day.

They can have a beer, cider or glass of wine with a meal when with an adult. Can’t buy it themselves though. And no spirits,.

  3. Thanks all, as I thought. We don’t drink during the day so we won’t be drinking in any of the ports and we only have the odd drink in the evening, we just wondered about with a meal as over in the uk, a 16 year old can have a small drink (not spirits) with a meal if accompanied by adults in a restaurant. No big deal however for us.

  4. Hi, I have a quick question, our daughter turned 18 in January and therefore over here in the UK she can legally buy a drink in a bar. We are going on HOS this July, sailing from Port Canaveral to the Caribbean. I know that the legal drinking age is 21 in the States, but whilst on the ship and when she is dinning with us in the evening would she be allowed a glass of wine with her food? I know she can’t order anything at the bar, but just wondered if she was allowed when with us? Thanks.

  5. Hi

we are on HOS in July, flying in from the UK the week before the cruise and we are driving down in a hire car to Port Canaveral on the day of the cruise. We hand in the hire car when we arrive, and in order to get back to the airport at the end of the cruise, we were thinking of taking one of RCIs excursions that include transport back to the airport afterwards, in order to avoid spending an entire day sat in the airport waiting for our flight home. We originally fancied the trip to the space Center but our flights got moved from six pm to five pm and now we won’t have time for the trip. Currently there is only one other trip, but do you think as time progresses there would be more trips to chose from? Basically when are all the trips on the planner ‘complete’ if that makes sense.

  6. Thanks for all your replies. The drop off point i believe is still Piazza Venezia so we are close to the Colloseum when we get dropped off. Does anyone know how to find out how many ships will be in on that day sunday august 19th. A few of my friends have been and said its not like gladiator [emoji23] but im a big Bruce Lee fan and i want to follow in his footsteps 🤩

  7. Im looking at prices for a cruise in 2020, it will be the first year that we won’t be holidaying with our daughter as she will be in university, hence we can now look at breaks during school term! We fancy a B2B Caribbean cruise in February/March but to keep it affordable we are looking at alternatives to balcony rooms. Seen a nice looking 9 night cruise on Explorer and was just getting an idea on price. However the system won’t even show me any promenade cabins at all? I can see all the other category of rooms just not the promenade ones, any ideas? Can’t imagine they are all booked out that far in advance.

  8. Just curious, we don’t have JR in the UK, how much would an equivalent meal be in a JR on land? I’m guessing that it’s kinda similar to Burger King? Over here in the UK a double whopper with bacon, fries and a drink is around the £8.95 range and that’s equivalent to $12.50 ish.

  9. Hi all

Just wondering what’s a decent and reasonable price for the ultimate dining package on a 7 day cruise on Harmony, currently my planner is saying £146.16 (I’m in the UK) per person which is nearly $210. This seems quite expensive after seeing other people’s posts. We are not sailing until next year, will,it come down?

    Thanks.

  10. We did ‘Rome on your own’ a few years ago on Brilliance. We managed to see the Colosseum (pre book your tickets to avoid the long lines), the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and a meander around the river. Didn’t see the inside of the Vatican as it was the last Sunday in the month and then the vaitican museums are free so the lines were horrendous. We did look around outside though. As to Florence and Pisa we made the mistake of just doing Pisa. We caught the train ourselves. The leaning Tower is great but once you’ve seen it that’s kinda it for Pisa, we are doing Florence this year though.
