I had a great tour with Sandra in Lisbon. But be prepared to wait in between emails. Spanish Day tours admin doesn’t respond quickly. Also the payment was an issue. It was resolved but I have over 20rmails from them. I’m not sure if use them again

Just got back from Getaway Black was $15 saw a working $25 table to. Craps starts at $10

I have to say I’ve worked with many tours companies & Spanish Day Tours does take there time answering. My last response took almost 9days to get a response. Tho I’m looking forward to their tour of Lisbon

Between time change & Im sure they amount of email they get it’s understandable. Usually get a return email within 2 to 3 days.

I am using SDT for a half day tour in Lisbon. Luckily I have had a lot of interest. Emilio has been working with me. Going in October on the TA on Getaway. Can’t wait.

Last year 10day Canadian cruise & the hurricane had just left Nova Scotia. I did not think hurricanes went that far north either. St John was hit hard & another port had just gotten their electricity back on a few days before we docked. Everyone was buying stuff cuz we felt so bad for them. I took the horse drawn cart around town in a lite drizzle. Trees were down, roofs were damaged but God Bless the residents they still came out for us. Good luck cruisers

I am long past dragging bags, catching trains to save money. Comfort over convenience at this point in my life. I love knowing a car is picking me up & bringing me to the right place. I will be tired after an 8hr flight.

Sadly yes you have to wait for bus to either fill or mostly fill. I did NCL transfers once & that was enough for me. We got a group of 8 from our roll call & hired Rome in Limo for transfers both arriving & departure. We also used them for tours. You get discount if you use them for 3tours.

I love cruises for seeing so many European ports, other places. Finding a port I love them I plan on going back. I was on a cruise landing in Iceland and the following year I went to Iceland for six days. Also if ship leaves from Barcelona or other ports I fly into port 4-5days before so I can explore.

I’ve been to Iceland 3xs & have to say it’s always the wind that gets you. It makes it really cold. I agree layers are your friend. And some kind of rain coat. Enjoy Iceland is amazing

Hi hun, I just went on another cruise site & was able to do a faux booking on May 2024 cruise on Getaway. Fingers crossed it’s a glitch. I even put in for TAs throughout 2025 and none popped up.

I was looking at booking Getaway May 2024 on Wednesday. Today it’s missing. NCL sent me a finish booking your cruise email when I hit the link it said that Cruise is no longer available.

Unfortunately the cruise I was going to book over weekend was pulled before I could book it. No FCC for me

I’m at the point in my life where I prefer comfort over cost. You make a good point when you add up all the costs of everything. Maybe I’ll see how much a car service would be from Sorrento to port.

I hate driving & wouldn’t enjoy it. Thank you tho

Thanks cruisemom I can walk well enough. I just won’t be able to manage stairs with a suitcase. I wish there was a water taxi that could take me from Sorrento to the port. Lol someone should start a business. I’m thinking I will fly into Rome then take flight to Napoli. Car service to Sorrento. I’ll use Rome in Limo. I’ll also use them for a day trip or 2 while in Sorrento. Sadly I’ll do same on return. Then hopefully find someone to share transport from airport to port. It’s a lot of schlepping

I appreciate all the info. I was in Sorrento about 6yrs ago on a day trip from a cruise. So I guess my best most expensive option would be to fly from Napoli to Rome. I checked flights are about $76. Then hire Rome in Limo to take me to port. Heck I may hire them to get be to Napoli airport. I’ll be like a package they have to get to Civitavecchia, lol. It’ll be a crazy travel day. I hate those. Thank you again.

I have used Rome in Limo over 12xs. Jany is the person who helps with reservations. They are on time, clean cars or vans & friendly drivers who speak English

I’m thinking of doing a TA from Civitavecchia to NY. I’d like to stay in Sorrento as my base. I can’t take the train because I have a bad leg & luggage. What are my other options? I’d hate to have to go into Rome & then to port. Thank you.
