Did you do the deal thru the ship? Did you do the VIP or regular. If regular how were the chairs. It seems like we did this a few years ago and they did not have good chairs or loungers.
Thanks,
Larry -
I just booked Sunrise for Sept yesterday. It is still showing Cayman and Ocho. My agent told me Cayman is out but didn’t mention Jamaica.

These stories make me feel way better about being in the minority that don’t drink. Knocking on wood that no one starts tainting Diet Coke.

It is is a $3 admission and they have a $10 cover last time we were there. We don’t drink so no reason to pay a lot extra. Can ride is about $15 out to there.

Nachi is the absolute best. I just booked it for my next trip. Paradise Beach and Playa Mia are about the same. Take water shoes. There are some big rocks out in the water and it will hurt your feet. There are sandy spots too, but sometimes you can’t see the rocks.

Did the hotel let you leave the vehicle there, or did you fly. I see you were using Uber so I automatically assume fly. I am coming April 1 and will need one with cruise parking.

I feel more reassured now! And since I found out that we can use our boarding passes to order drinks, I guess it really shouldn't be an issue. Thank you so much for all your help!
Rest assured they will always find a easy way to take your money.[emoji3][emoji3]

What type cabin did you have.
Were the beds comfortable.
How was the aqua show.
Hope to go on Allure sept.
Thanks Larry
We had a large interior cabin. The bed was good. If anything maybe too soft. My shoulders would hurt a little bit in the morning. Other than that the cabin was plenty spacious for the two of us.

I don’t know my port from my starboard, but as you look from the back of the ship to the front of the ship the gangway was on the right.

Roxy,
We had an inside large cabin on deck 3. The bed was great. We loved the aqua show. They had a trampoline part that was my favorite. Blue Planet also had a trampoline part that was very well done.

There is nothing hard about deck 6 at all. Don't worry about it.
It is not hard. There are just some shops you can only get to from one side or the other. No “sidewalk” between photo shop and Schooners piano bar for instance.

Did you have to put the Sea Pass card in the slot on the door to open it? Or, did you just have to waive it in front of some reader on the door?
They have a key waiting for you on the door. After you get you key you can throw the paper seapass away.

Read the topic a little wrong. If we do book thru thru the company, typically first time at a port, we try to book in advance.
I have found no difference. Sometimes there may be a discount if you pay early.

We almost always book thru independent companies. You just need to make sure of cancellation policies. In the event a ship changes itinerary you need to make sure you can be refunded. Our latest find was Nachi Cocum in Cozumel. You pay 11 down per person and the rest when you get there.
We hate waiting to get everyone on the bus to head where you are going and then there are always the people that are running 15 minutes behind for the ride back.

Any compass scans? I was curious about the different trivias!
I will try to get some of them in later this week. At a hockey game tonight and of course Valentines date night tomorrow.
I did save them for scanning.

Apologies if this has already beed asked and answered, but how was the Brazilian steakhouse? We have that booked on our Allure cruise next week... :)
Fletch,
It was my first trip to one so I have nothing to compare it to. Most of the meats were good. I didn’t like the lamb but I have tried it a couple times and it is just not for me. The chicken and all the beef except the filet were really good. They had a small salad bar and some side dishes on a buffet you could get.
Try the sugar free Key Lime Mousse. It was very good.

My wife and I generally just hang out and enjoy the unlimited drinks. Our two girls really love doing the banana boat rides and making use of the paddle boards though.
That was us without the kids part.[emoji3][emoji3]

Thanks everyone for your input. I appreciate it. This day will be at the end of our cruise and we are so looking forward to it :tropical-drink:
Ours was at the end as well. We really just relaxed the whole cruise. No run and gun for us this time. Anytime we found a quiet place to sit we did. It was so unlike us but well needed.

I hope you reported her
I will remember to avoid the Freedom for future cruises. The further from our cruise the more we liked it.
I did realize something this weekend. I believe the ship “excursion” at Labadee was for a sun bed for 2 with a cover on it. I was expecting to have one of the beds with a pad on it we could both lay on.
It ended up being 2 lounge chairs without pads. It ended up. It being bad as we could pull the chairs out into the sun when we wanted. I was going to take the cover down, but my wife said it might get sand in everything when we put it back up.
Columbus cove would have been the place to be. We will do something there if we ever go back to Labadee.

Debark Method In FLL?
We willboard on 2/18/18 so thank you for the current info.
How did youdebark once back in FLL? We need to get to the airport pretty quickly so tornbetween self-debark and dragging all of our luggage ourselves, or trusting ourluck to the normal process with the group numbers hoping we get or can attain alow number.
Youmentioned being paranoid, me too, so would like to nail it down.
FYI – old saying,“just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean someone is not out to get you”.
Thanksagain,
We did the regular checked luggage route and were #7. They called that number at 7:45 and everyone was supposed to be off ship by 9:00. We had a 1:00 flight and started off the ship at 8:15. We were at the airport at 9:15.
If you take your own bags there is a special Mobile Passport app that will help you move along.

This is the new Set Sail Pass? I assume you only use it on boarding day and then you use you room card to get back on board on port days? If the cards on on door is your picture no longer on them?
No picture on the card. The paper is just to get on the ship with the first day.

Did they offer speciality dining package deals on board? If so, do you recall the cost?
I know they were offering them every day. I do not remember the cost.

Try one of the all-inclusive (beautiful) resorts next time. Once we discovered those, our opinion of Falmouth has totally changed...for the better:)
I suppose that is like us with Nassau. I always hated going there but we finally found a place.
We cruised into Ocho one time and it was better. We did go to a beach club there. It wasn’t the greatest and we didn’t want to spend time in a bus from the cruise line.
Walking around outside the pier area was much better at Ocho than Falmouth. I think that was my main point.
We were able to find some decent looking restaurants and did a little shopping, but there was nothing like that at Falmouth.
We already had a beach club reserved for Cozumel and took our chances. I didn’t do as much studying the port beforehand as I usually do so that part was my fault.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks Sublarry!! We will be there at Nachi 3 weeks from tomorrow and can't wait. Been to Cozumel a couple times before but never to just a beach club. So looking forward to it. Did you do any of the activities, or just hang out?
Hi Stormy,
We just hung out. They had people there come by to ask about it. They also offer massages. We didn’t do that either. The food gives you a appetizer, salad or soup, entree (the fajitas were great), and a dessert.
