  1. I think it appropriate to point out that if the idea of an "earthing half sheet" is to create a pathway for the human body to be connected to Mother Earth and, thereby, provide health benefits it won't work aboard a ship on the ocean.

The electrons coming out of the water will be "wet", while those on land are "dry".

Thus, the interactions between the various subatomic particles contained within them will not be the same

  2. Hi TUA,

    >Cannot see using significantly fewer stewards as they same number of people will need to be seated and fed.

    It's a matter of demand.

With fixed dining you have a high point, where all of your staff are used, a slump where no one is dining and then a high demand.

With open seating the demand is more evenly distributed.

  3. Hey Canuck,

    >PLAN & RESEARCH YOUR PORTS!! Print out the details, put them in a folder in a day to day order. Throw away as you go. Include what you need for the day ex: cash, return times, contact numbers etc..How anyone can travel without a plan is beyond me

Absolutely. Now that we have small computers and tablets they can back up the paper.

  4. >the lady in the Lido wearing a bathrobe and barefooted during breakfast was disgusting.

When I was an undergraduate, the dining hall doors were locked at 09:00.

Thus, there were many people who showed up at 08:57 in various stages of dress - usually wearing a raincoat.

One morning, a young woman in a raincoat set down her tray opposite me, took off her raincoat and sat down,

She then realized that she was wearing a "baby doll" night dress - without the top.

    I was not disgusted. :)

  5. > I find it rude to not remove your hat when sitting down to eat. I would not say it to the person. Can't change what people wear to dine in.<

If everyone were to point out to these arrogant twits that they are behaving in an inappropriate manner, it would eventually cause them to stop.

PS: Do not do this in Georgia. We allow everyone to carry a sidearm anywhere AND have a "stand your ground" law.

  6. Laraine says,

    >I was able to get flights from Phoenix to Vancouver/Seattle to Phoenix for less than the air credit -- amazing.

    Actually, it is not uncommon.

For our Dec cruise to the Amazon, we could fly for about $100 pp less than the cruise credit.

For our upcoming AK cruise (on another line) we could buy tickets for 2 for $200 less than the cruise line credited us.
