  1. Since you say no assigned dining times, and it's anytime does this mean that what's on my confirmation is I have anytime dining starting at 6 pm?
  2. Thank you all for your quick replies. They have all been informative!
  3. This will be our second time on a Celebrity ship. We are more familiar with RCL ships. Our TA assigned us with a 6 pm dinner seating. In researching, I see that the Beyond has 4 dining areas (Cosmopolitan, Cyprus, etc.) and each venue has entrees specific to that region as well as the standard/classic entrees. The Celebrity app has a place where I can make dinner reservation for each of the dining venues. Question: How does one do this if you don't know what the "special" entree will be for that night? A quick look at the dining menu is showing me that the "special" entree is the same every night, depending on the venue. For those who've been on The Beyond, is the dining menu accurate? Some say they're accurate and some say to wait until you get onboard to see what it is. If we have to make reservations before we get onboard, I'd rather do it sooner than later to ensure seating times when we want as there will be 12 of us going. Also would like to like all of our dinner reservations together so that we can be sure that we can sit all together. If not, at least divided between 2 tables of 6 next to each other instead of across the dining room from each other. Thanks!
  4. Sorry for the late response but thank you all for your input. I winded up booking directly with the airline carrier so that I have total control. Read some of the cons and was afraid to take the chance.
  5. Must be the time of year but finding hotel prices to be crazy in March. Has anyone used the Comfort Inn Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port on N. Federal Hwy, Dania Beach. Am wondering about location and whether it is safe there. I have read that some parts of Dania Beach is questionable. Any input provided will be very much appreciated. Thanks! Jan
  6. We stayed here years ago and the HGI was lovely. We have a cruise out of FLL in March and was looking to return here but got very leary due to the reviews. Hard to believe that it was gone downhill. Like Elaine5715, I will also be following....
  7. I apologize if this has been discussed before but has anyone booked flights through Celebrity? What are the pros and cons of getting it from Celebrity as opposed to directly with the airline carrier. Any info on your experience would be greatly appreciated. Also if I do decide to go with Celebrity, can you choose your own seats for the flight? Thanks in advance for your input. Jan
  8. I am looking at staterooms for my brother on Anthem which is near the elevators and the dining rooms (Chic & The Grande.) Can anyone tell me if you can hear the music/entertainment that comes out of the Music Hall or are the staterooms far enough away to not hear it? Thanks!
  9. Thanks so much to all of you who responded. My decision has been made. I will choose the room.
  10. Without having to scroll through tons of topics, can someone explain the pros and cons of RCL choosing a stateroom for you instead of selecting your own. Other than price difference, I would like to know if those who elected to have RCL choose a stateroom, were you happy with it? Anxious to hear from passengers who did this. Thanks!
  11. Has anyone stayed at Springhill in Galveston? Just wondering how it is for a one night pre cruise stay?
  12. Wow, seems like passenger capacity is almost back to normal. And good to know reservations are not needed ahead of time for most venues onboard. Thank you!
  13. Saw on the news today that two cruise lines are having staffing issues as well as supply chain issues. Staffing issues being that work visas have since expired and the delay seems to be in getting the work visas granted by the governmental authorities. Even though the news mentioned two cruise lines, Im sure this is worldwide. Until this is resolved, the news said the cruise lines may be limiting the numbers of passengers on each cruise so that the staff they do have can keep up and give their passengers the service they are entitled to. This makes sense. For those that have cruised and us, not having sailed in two plus years, have you noticed if the ships are on limited capacity? I cant imagine that the ships are sailing at full capacity like it was pre-pandemic. Just wondering....
  14. Hi All, For those that have sailed on the Liberty recently: Final payment for me will be the end of this week for September sailing. I know that on the Allure, we were able to make reservations for shows, dinners, etc. Do you know if we are able to make online reservations for the shows etc on the Liberty sailing? It's been too, too long and I have forgotten. Also anyone have MDR menus that they can share? Thanks!
