We have a port side balcony... will we get any direct sun? Constellation... Tampa to Barcelona... stopping in Bermuda and Madeira before mainland Spain.

I'm on the same sailing as you and I'm hoping to get some inside info from my son who's graduating from FSU with a degree in meteorology in May 😂. I was the one who told him about the windy app from reading about it on here. He has other resources and models I don't even want to try to understand. Windy is great for wave heights and very easy to use. I still find the most reliable source of weather information is the weather rock...if it's wet it's raining..etc..

Going on first ever TA (Constellation) and can't wait for lots of relaxing days at sea ... maybe some good reading... hopefully lots of silent disco... mostly new ports.. and many other things I don't even know about since I haven't done this before!

Minimum bid for a Veranda $500 total was accepted. Moved from Cat 9 inside to Cat 2B Balcony! Bid on Family Veranda showed expired by the beginning of March. Bid on Veranda showed pending at the same time... has been pending all of March with no ability to modify... but good news came yesterday.

Maybe?? At least that would be inline with what Royal Caribbean already does... and since they are both owned by the same company ... but then again... that would make sense 😂. See if her status shows up on her room key. In the past kids didn't show any status on their card. However, first sailing after 18 (and getting captain's club number) the status showed up. My kids were supper excited when their cards actually showed Elite like their mom and dad's.

That's interesting. I thought you didn't get a captain's club # until you were 18. At 18 they called and got a captain's club # then got credit for all the cruises they had taken. At least that's how it worked a year ago. DD is 19 now.

My kids are now 22 and 19 but have been sailing on celebrity..and other lines since they were toddlers. They enjoy all the bells and whistles on other lines but If you asked either of them they would tell you celebrity is their favorite. Hope you and Gen Z have an awesome trip!

Question about Puerto Plata...since you're knowledgeable about that port. We'll be there on Christmas day this year...granted it's on RCI not CCL 😉...will anything actually be open??? Just wanted to get your thoughts.

Just also wanted to thank you for the wonderful and detailed review of your experience on the Connie. I definitely enjoyed her the first time I sailed on her, it was when the drink package was first introduced and had such a great time. Now I'm really looking forward to boarding in April for her eastbound TA. Fifteen nights!! Woohoo!

I booked the upgrade voucher too for a TA in april...15 days for $9.99???? looking forward to hearing back from others ... definitely worth a shot.. I also took a screenshot and will print out my receipt.

Do they still offer the turkey burger at the mast grill? I've enjoyed those for years and had it on the Equinox in March. You had to ask for it and usually they would cook it to order... on the Equinox they had some cooked and would "heat" it up on the grill. On the other ships I usually had to wait about 10 minutes for it to be cooked. Had to wait the 10 minutes when ordering on the Summit last December.

We were on the explorer Thanksgiving of 2019 and really had a great experience. Crew works so hard to make everyone happy. It is unfortunate if they are so understaffed now that it makes this difficult.
