We had only one chic night on our 9 day cruise on Beyond in May. It was on the only sea day, which was 2nd last night.

Be careful : We thought we used our OBC several weeks pre cruise when booking ship excursions on the website, as system never asked for confirmation to pay with credit card or which credit card to use as it does when we booked drink packages etc before. We never got an email confirmation of purchase either as is normally received. The amounts just stayed open and we assumed were going to be offset with OBC. But when we came on board we still had the full OBC on our account, and found our credit card was charged with the excursions a couple of days earlier. We then could get most of the OBC back playing in Casino (minus the losses!). This was on Beyond and they had some - beginners - issues with the system and online app.

Beyond is only on it is 2nd cruise after inaugural which started April 27 this year and sailings were less than half full.

These were tours with priority access, and focussed on eg Herculaneum, Pompei. There were other, longer tours which incl these sites but with other parts and were not listed as “small”. In theater before leaving in morning, these other tours seem definitely to include a larger group.

Was considering review, but while we enjoyed our holidays, I am afraid my comments would be seen as too critical as can t help compare with previous cruises of which we have great memories (S class, pre covid).

Celebrity was also offering “small tours” with approx 15 pax during our recent Beyond cruise in Mediterraneum

I specifically asked about this in the Beyond shops as I couldn t see any items if these kinds and in view of a planned TA. And they confirmed that they were not selling this anymore at all.

Only 1100 pax on 7 May sailing. Aqua IV cabins same size as normal IV. All amenities in big refillable containers. Good enough, did not pay attention to brand. Water (thru different treatment method from S class) gave some different result with shampoo/soap and did not seem to leave hair squeeky clean or fluffy, even when trying out my own products. Big selection on buffet. Fruits very unripe, otherwise fine, good bread and icecream ! Shuttle bus from Marseille port towards but not in centrum. In Villefranche and St Margarita tendered to centrum. La Spezia harbor shuttle to port entrance which is in walking distance to centum and (a bit farther) central train station. In Messina and Naples docked walking distance to downtown. Let me know if you have further questions.

Being on Beyond now where music especially in theater and club is very loud. Unfortunately we had to leave some good shows and a nice big band/jazz performance because sound level was way too high. Also cruise director and some presenters/ performers yell very hard in microphone and nobody tones it a bit down. As it is our first cruise after Covid, we were wondering if it is on all ships similar now. Some of you may remember that loud music was an issue a couple of years ago which after a lot of complaints was toned down again. We are now reconsidering a planned Transatlantic because this, combined with the irritating pulsating background noise in all venues in and outside (not even good music or songs), does not make for a relaxing onboard experience. We love music but at not at these levels. What is your experience on E class ? Are S class ships better in this respect ?
