90s and early 00s when I knew him. I believe he went back to the 70s or 80s
-
Absolutely.
Wolfgang was the gold standard

Perhaps, Stephen, you should get on the list of HAL's authorized shops.
Or, you could, become part of a tour: House of Cards!
-
Wolfgang set up a table outside MDR on the second to last day of the cruise and laid out the recipes for about a dozen of his most popular recipes. No need to buy a cookbook in those days.
-
I don't think today's catering would be up to his snuff.
Wolfgang personally cooked the captain's table dinner, after consulting with the captain. Took so much pride in what came out of the kitchen and would await a report from captain on how he did.
-
Had the pleasure of him making several meals for us personally. One of the suite perks, I guess. He loved what he did and his food showed it. Hard to do nowadays with so many pax.
-
Wolfgang and I once spent time discussing seasoning. What a great guy.

While figuring out some winter meals today, I came across recipes from HAL's Chef Wolfgang. His Bolognese will be on the menu next week.
Shame there's little of his food still on the menu.

Fresh is fine, but you need more than the prepared to get a good kick. Mix with sour cream (yogurt if you're health-conscious) and some fresh lemon juice.

Stephen,
Thanks for the info. $9.75 aint bad compared to a martini at the Regis in NYC.
Have done the Swizzles as well.
Is the nightclub in the cave still available at one of the hotels?

I hope never to meet the ship's agent, which would mean all is not well
And I doubt Id recognize one at the gangway since I'm walking off or on the ship and not looking at the X-ray to see if anyone smuggled wine aboard

How much for a dark n stormy?

Bush 41 took a Princess Cruise soon after leaving office, without much security or posse
All was well until some pax tried to take his picture in the sauna
He disembarked in St Thomas

Sheesh, if the happiest place on earth needs a pledge, then all hope is lost. Im not sure chat rooms need any pledge. Just some honesty and objectivity.

Well don't work too hard. Our taxes are high enough.

No offense taken Eagle. If you're a lawyer wallowing in First Amendment, not many billable hours. JMHO
-
Frankly, happy valley doesn't express much information and gets boring over the long haul.
-
Sorry, not me. I won't attack you personally, but my opinion might differ with yours. Allow me to express my opinion, which might not agree with yours, and you are free to comment. It's called the First Amendment.

The point is if the line is marketing to Asians they are not marketing to North Americans. So don't expect things to be the same.
-
They wont want us. Period. Might have a menu and program in English. An announcement in English. They don't want us.
-
What I find funny is this: A shift to an Asian itinerary aint about North Americans. You're baggage. The cruise will be geared to those who live there.
-
And for their economy, that's a good thing.

Really hope HAL and Seabourn don't merge. The products are so different.
China will go through its bubble. Hell, it already is. But there's a middle class there that will grow unlike the US, which, pensions pulled away, will die on the vine.
Did someone really suggest First Class doesn't subside behind the curtain?
