  1. On those ships in that class refurbished with those staterooms added forward on deck 12, depending on location, the view is unobstructed to the side or forward of the ship and the windows are floor to ceiling. To date those ships are Navigator, Voyager, and Explorer.

Freedom has them as well Have a P1 Booked for November this Year

  2. To the orginal poster in the shower there is a fold down bench maybe your child can sit on that to be bathed. There is no lip in the shower so plugging the drain would not work. It is a hand held showerhead so you can make it work one way or the other :).

I forgot about the Fold-down Chair in the Shower Stall that probably be Useful for the OP

  3. There is a form Royal has for proof of NEED for an Accessible Room a good Travel Agent will provide you with it.

(I Have MILD mobility Problem) My Parents & Booked an accessible room in 2009 We filled out part of the form my Doctor Filled most of and Faxed it to Royal in Miami (If memory serves Correctly)

Accessible Rooms ARE ONLY Relased to the Gerenal Public 2 Months Before sail date IF NO Person(s) who require an Accessible have Booked them.

Accessible rooms cost the SAME as the Other rooms in their Category

Standard K & Accessible K Will Cost the Same this is even TRUE of the Accessible JS & Standard JS

YOU Only Have to Complete this Form ONCE

Accessible Rooms are Larger than their counterparts in the Same Category

  4. I would hope that the majority of the Royal Suite Class benefits would be rolled out to the rest of the fleet at some stage but who knows! Some inclusions may not be practical but the majority could be arranged.

I was very disappointed, given the hype raised by RCI in the run up to the announcement, that it was only being rolled out on a very minimal proportion of the fleet.

Yes IT was A Big Let down There was a Fair Bit of Hype and then ONLY Around 25% of The Fleet Will Get The New Perks

Long term I Think it Should Be Fleet Wide

  5. Yes that does refer to the CV and BV cabins which are typically harder for Royal to sell. Disappointed that it's not the balcony cabins. Hopefully a mistake in the article but I doubt it.

I Just went to Royal's Press Centre (Center) Site

    It states:

"Families vacationing together on Harmony of the Seas, as well as Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, will be able to take advantage of the new collection of added benefits to balcony staterooms overlooking the Central Park and Boardwalk outdoor neighborhoods. Starting in November 2016, the signature views will be complemented and enhanced with amenities that feature the best of what each neighborhood has to offer."

  6. There is no note required, but there is some fine print on your contract if I recall regarding your actual requirements to use that kind of room.

If you really need the amenities of a special access room, be sure to book ahead as there aren't many per ship and they go fast.

  7. The real reason is that the overwhelming majority that still want formal nights are dying. In order to maintain the brand and attract new customers, Celebrity has to adapt to what the newer potential customers want. I don't have any friends asking if I know of a vacation they can take where they can wear their tuxedos and evening gowns for dinner. In fact, it's common that friends say they don't really want to do a cruise because it's too scheduled and formal. No company making changes is going to make everyone happy, but in order reach out to the next generation of cruisers this change was essential. And for those that still want to get all dressed up, nothing in this new policy prevents you from doing so. My motto is any day on a ship is better than a day at work....no matter what the person next to me is wearing to dinner.

And for some reason this goes over the head of many people
