Regardless. You know how i feel as we keep losing hours on this trip. I’m looking at the schedule with 7am activities and I’m like what masochist gets up that early after losing an hour. My next TA is going westbound!

I hit brunch alone at Razzle Dazzle. Wife was like she’s not getting out of bed yet. Mushroom Frittata Blueberry green tea cheesecake Brunch was a little light. I am making a pig of myself. I feel like this is my theme on this cruise. After brunch, I’m still walking around in a fog. I needed stronger hit. double cappucino (4 shots of espresso, small cup).

After Dinner is the Legendary Scarlet Night. I had not realized that my dinner would make me miss most of the pregame. I just caught this as I headed towards the Octopus Garden Octopus Garden. It was a nice 15 minute musical, but I still didn’t get the story. When we got out, most of the 7th deck seemed empty. Why? Because the main party moved to the pool deck. Just wow. I have not danced like this in years. I keep saying this. I have not partied like this in years. Me personally, it takes a certain groove or energy to get me dancing. Most times, I just chill. I’ve become particular when it comes to partying. This party and this cruise keeps me going. Carnival is known as the party cruise, but they can’t hold a candle to this energy. I mean, the deck could not have been 65 degrees with a wind blowing over the deck. At some point, people went into the pool during this party. Not one or two. It was a giant splash. I had texted a friend and she said “Thats not a pool, thats a water feature” and I responded “And they still went in!!!” The after-party kept going until the wee hours of the night. This was about 1:30am. Did I mention we lost an hour after this. Unfortunately, I am now suffering as I’m not in my 20s or 30s anymore. At this rate, I’m going to need a vacation from this vacation.

Good Morning from Last night I we attended the Acapella group Moonshot. This group is TALENTED!!! The guy on the left. Absolutely mindblowing. He did a solo. He pulled off Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean’s musical riff with his voice alone. He provided “musical background” and Bass with his voice while the others sang. He reminds me of Michael Winslow of Police Academy fame. Dinner, my first repeat is back at Pink Agave. Got some new stuff. Chayote. Simple veggies. Good for what it was. Papas con Chorizo. I thought this was a side dish of potatoes. It was not bad. Bistec. This was delicious. Maybe the best steak on board. Its hard to decide. I made a pig of myself with dessert. Bread pudding. What was I thinking. I hate raisins. But still had to try. Milhojas. This was yummy Not on the Menu. Coconut rice pudding and other stuff?

I’m gonna try all the Floats. Whiskey Dream. Bourbon, Whiskey, Crema, Coke & Marshmallow.

This tiny little issue on Scarlet Lady or maybe Virgin in general. Most of the public sinks in bathrooms. Notice the lack of knobs. Thats because its not there. Total motion sensors. I’m finding a fair number of them kind of broken. I now know why. These motion sensors don’t work. You can get the faucet to work when they stop by tapping the faucet. You can see where this is headed. The faucets are loose because people are whacking at the faucet to get them to workz.. Its frustrating as if it doesn’t start, you whack it! Multiply the number of whacks and impatient passengers and now I can see why so many are broken. More to come

The avocado toast was considered Elevenses so the Tuna Poke is considered Luncheon. Not sure if i like the Salmon from Earlier or this one. Oh, I forgot about the Pizza. So that should be Elevenses and Avocado toast was 2nd Breakfast

This was the matinee show. I wouldn’t say I was disappointed in this show than I would say I expected more. This was a one person show for the most part: I thought that there would be an ensemble of drag queens. I got one. Nonetheless, it was a fun show. The thing i noticed with entertainment, Virgin seems to do more with less.

I forgot the activity from last night. It was a live band in the manor These guys were smoking last night. Unbelievable show. They had a lot of energy.

Ended up getting a chicken pesto pizza. I reiterate. This is a good pizza. Hands down, best cruise pizza and can contend with a good pizza restaurant on land. This ship is getting ready for Scarlet Night. I’m excited. This is like a big thing. Now, I’m back in the Manor for

Was it just me or did the boards not load for about an hour or so? So I picked up Avocado toast for food. The avocado/guacamole on board has been quite wonderful. It may need garlic, but its not sour like I’m use to from other places. My view while I eat.

That probably makes more sense as I’m wondering why a popsicle is 30 bucks.

You had a hypnotist too? Its not fake. My wife got picked. It was fun and she wasn’t a plant. She did some things out of character but it wasn’t bad. I got video.

Good Morning from We’re about 1450 miles from Bermuda. The closest continent appears to be Africa at the moment at about 1600 miles away. We truly are in the middle of the ocean. 2400 miles from Miami and 2000 miles from home for me. Last night, Gumbae was just a fun dinner. There was a drinking game played at the table. I tied with the lady next to me. My view while waiting for coffee. Its not consistent, but i sometimes get the Glance in the room.

Tonight’s Dinner is Gumbae. This is the last restaurant I haven’t tried. From this point on, I won’t have as many food pictures as it will just be things i haven’t tried. Menu. This menu was a little different. I actually took a photo instead of scanning them. Its only the food part. If people want drink menus, let me know and I will hunt them down as well. Sides. It’s not on the menu and I don’t remember what they are. Kimchi is one. Potato salad another. Forever crispy chicken. Spicy but good. Nori rice crisps. They remind me of shrimp chips in Chinese cuisine. Seafood corndogs. This was interesting. Kimchi stew. This was too spicy for me. I missed the meet platter. It was cooked in front of us. I’ll get it next time. Dulce de Leche macaroon. Not on menu. This was just a fun meal.

Continued. Tonight was the first night I saw a production show called Ships in the Night. The show was phenomenal!!! But I did find some flaws where here, in general, I think Royal Caribbean does better. But let me do a photo dump here. I feel the cast is smaller here. Only 1 principal singer vs Royal’s usual 4. Plus they have more backup dancers. They don’t use live music but recorded music. The set is dependent on screens as oppose to actual built sets on Royal. However, what they did with it was amazing. This was a solid show. But i think Royal, at the very least, has more to work with and they have the potential to do a lot more. This shows on Oasis Class and Quantum Class where they have full broadway productions such as We will rock you and Mama Mia. So in this aspect, I think Royal edges out slightly on this. But this is based on one production show. I believe there is another later.

The pools are small. Fortunately I’m not a pool guy so this does not affect me. I think the track is kind of cool. Here’s the Perch. and miscellaneous I didn’t get a pool deck shot. I will rectify that later.

That would be lost on me. Still, if i still have some, i may splurge on it. Theres also a $29.00 popsicle i might try.

Another fairly lazy day. I was a bit afraid I wouldn’t have much to write about but here we are, Day 6 and there‘s still stuff to write about. I kind of had a conflict. Two shows i wanted to see but I would have to sacrifice parts of the one show for another. Comedian Andre Vincent was at 6. If i stayed for his whole show, I ran the risk of not getting a seat for the 7 show, Ships in the Night. He was fun, but nothing spectacular. I decided to sacrifice the last 15 minutes to get a seat at Ships in the Night in the Red Room. Continued on next post.

The first time I realized it was on my last Royal cruise last year to Greenland on Jewel. I heard it is not always available and is dependent on how many Diamonds and above are sailing. If there are larger amounts, they allow it to alleviate the Diamond lounge rush for coffee. This is what I heard but the reason I knew about the coffee bonus was because they left a note in our cabin the first day. This post got lost as I posted this earlier.

I’m behind on my Bar Tab. I don’t normally drink. Royal Caribbean’s Diamond Plus benefits of 5 drinks a day us hard for me. Here, outside of Test Kitchen’s wine pairing, i haven’t drank much. As a result, I still have over $500 on my bar tab that they gave me. So here’s my start. Berry me at Sea. Here’s the menu here for boozy floats. Good price too. Wife had the Skinny Pie on the first day.
