Dress code in Carnival MDR?

I don't want to be controversial, but I wouldn't be surprised if QANTAS was/is tougher on women flight attendants regarding grooming than they are on their male flight attendants. -
Grand Princess Gastro And Covid Outbreak
Aus Traveller replied to Zanny's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Washing hands is the most important preventative measure against Noro. However, washing your hands before going into the dining room or the buffet doesn't fully protect you. If you touch anything (salt/pepper shakers, sugar containers, serving utensils in the buffet or even your chair) there is the chance that it has traces of the virus from the last person who handled it. When you pick up your breadroll, you transfer the virus to your body. Cruise lines try to minimise this problem by removing salt/pepper and sugar containers and even drinks menus and having staff serve food in the buffet. I understand that after P&O set up a buffet where all the food is served onto your plate, they virtually eliminated noro from their ships. -
Grand Princess Gastro And Covid Outbreak

Maybe once prevention measures are put in place such as extra cleaning of handrails etc and removal of items that multiple people touch (salt/pepper shakers and drinks menus), few people get infected. Usually the numbers decrease after the Code Red measures are implemented. Another point could be that noro affects some people more than others. Some people might have it and not be very ill and therefore don't report it. -
OBC via the Stockperks app - my experience

I applied for my shareholder's OBC via email. I have just now received an email to say the appropriate amount has been applied to my booking. Yes - the old method still works! -

Noro is easier to avoid than COVID. Wash your hands, obviously before you eat and I also suggest, when you return to your cabin. Although you can wash and sanitise your hands before you have a meal, you have to use your hands to move your chair into position at the table. Hand sanitiser isn't totally effective against Noro. I play it safe and don't have bread rolls or anything else that I have to pick up with my hands while the Code Red is operative. You will probably be given paper sachets of salt and pepper rather than having the shakers on the table. -

No. He doesn't shake the clothes out before hanging, and even worse, the pegs seem to get attached to whichever bit of the item he picks up. Well, maybe not quite that bad, but nearly. I just don't look too closely. However, he does like to match the pegs, 😁 just to each other, not to the clothes. -
We have a stunning view and it is probably the main attraction of the house. The main floor is open plan, leading out to a large under-cover 'al fresco' area with an infinity-edge pool, all on the same level. Beyond that is the ocean. We only have to walk across a short stretch of grass to the sand.

Mine is an early model, but maybe it is a limited edition but it has some other negative features.🙂 -

I have got one of those machines that hangs the laundry out to dry - it is called a husband. 🙂 -
Thanks for your help. I doubt there would have been NZ cruises prior to that. I am interested because I am going on a Coral Princess NZ cruise with my daughter and her family in January. I am sure she and her husband will be watching the Pacific Adventure fiasco with some concern and I want to be able to reassure them. This is their first cruise for more than 10 years and they have had to get five new passports - not required for a cruise to Tassie. I am somewhat reassured because the cruise immediately before ours, also goes to NZ. 🙂

Australian and New Zealand ETA
Aus Traveller replied to kelsea82301's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
If you will be visiting Aust and NZ, then naturally you need to fill in the Visa waiver for both countries as we are separate and independent countries. 🙂 Ensure you use the government websites. There are private companies who will 'help' you with the easy process, but at extra cost of course. What cruise line are you travelling with? Some time ago P&O Aust used Verifly when we needed to up-load details of our COVID vaccination status etc. That isn't needed now and we didn't to fill it in for our cruises in the last few months. -

Thanks for the report. Voltaren really is good. I suggest you consider buying a tube of the gel. Best of luck with your work on your house. -

Voltaren gel is good. There is instant relief when you rub it on. My husband uses it on his arthritic knees. I have used it on occasions, and it really works instantly.
