  1. We are just getting back from our cruise in the Yacht Club on the Divina and had a fabulous trip!

The crew was wonderful. Our butler Vishnu provide elegant and friendly service. We had sparking wine waiting daily, including a special anniversary pink indulgence romance package. Everyone on the ship greeted us with warmth and pride in MSC.

Our dining experience was something we looked forward to daily. Arthur, our server was engaging and service was quick but never felt rushed. Dechen our sommelier always took great care in helping us with our wine choices. Antonino the Assistant Maitre'd created exciting pasta dishes and taught us some Italian history for some of them. Bishma the assistant waiter always made sure my husband had gluten free bread available and worked well with Arthur.

Captain Massa was everywhere. He attended the CC meet and greet and answered all questions with pride. Andre the cruise director was engaging and approachable.

They are working hard to create a product for our American market and we loved it. Yes, there are some differences, but we enjoyed the changes.

This ship may be a few years old but felt brand new. It was spotless and didn't show much wear and tear.

We booked the Seaside while on board and hope to see familiar crew faces!

We will try to answer questions if you have any.

  2. Having just returned from the Yacht Club on Divina, I am a convert. The experience far exceeded our Haven experience. The service never felt rushed and the staff felt very genuine. Not a single grumpy staff anywhere on the ship. The cost was less, but the service was much better.

  3. From my wife's perspective, hairdryer(yes, they're not allowed but...the provided hairdryers are not good) and clothes pegs to peg swimsuits on chairs on balcony and towels on sunloungers. A powerstrip is also very useful(one without surge protection). To kinda twist your question, l would bring less clothes!

So we can't bring our own hair dryers? That's odd.

    Please explain...thanks

  4. We have just booked the Yacht Club and have a few questions. Most of the Spa packages include passes to the Thermal Area, but that's already included in the Yacht Club perks.

Are there different packages available for the Yacht Club area? Or is the pricing adjusted?

Is it better to book ahead or on board?

    Thanks for any guidance!

  5. I just got off the Valor 8/14/19 sailing and researched that the cluster of bites all over my body were bedbug bites! Did anyone else experience this. I called Carnival to tell them and all they did was say "thanks for letting us know. We will contact that department."

    What room? Yikes!

  6. How COOL is that?!! So glad I had that picture and that you were following along with my review to see it! He was SO nice and I distinctly remember telling my husband that he didn't have any accent, he spoke so eloquently and that he was definitely from the US. Enjoy your day with him in January!!! How did he end up there? I love those stories....

Charles' family is originally from St Croix but he grew up state side in Texas, California and Conneticut. His father was an executive with Pepsi and they moved around a bit. My husband, Wayne, moved with his fathers career too. They happened to end up in the same cities, even though their fathers worked for different corporations. Their paths just keep crossing unexpectedly, like now! He eventually moved with his family to St Thomas and helps with branding Cruzan. He's a fantastic guy and has landed in paradise!

Love your review! You have a beautiful family and your girls are precious! Thank you for taking the time to share!!!

  7. We packed up all our stuff and headed to the exit... there were several open air buses waiting to head back. We got right on one and it was the same rail-gripping ride back to port. Same cost too.. $8 per person and kids were free.

We were dropped off in town outside the port and shopped for a little

We also found this guy who gave us each a free shot of flavored rum!

Wow. Is it a small world! Charles is the man that gave you the free shot of Cruzan and he is a great friend of ours! My husband and he grew up together in both California and Conneticut. We always try to get to St Thomas on our cruises to visit with him. It is amazing that you happened to take his picture and share it here! We were spending a day with him in January when we take the Escape there.

For anyone that sees Charles on your port stop, tell him Wayne and Stacia say hi!
