  1. I agree, it is nothing like the gelato I've had in Italy.
  2. On the Equinox in June the night that the MDR had lobster, we had "Surf and Turf" in Luminae, but it was Pork belly and scallops. Last year on the Reflection the Luminae surf and turf was a NY steak with 3 grilled shrimp on top. I will say both of the above dishes were very good and for me preferable to the usually disappointing lobster and tiny fillet.
  3. I am so happy that I made it to Elite before I depart Celebrity, I can get my free scoop of gelato and a free bag of laundry next month.
  4. What lobster in Luminae are you talking about? Our last two Retreat cruises the only lobster I saw were the lobster rolls the first day lunch and a lobster salad starter one night with 2 bites of chewy lobster. This was on the Reflection last August from Rome and the Equinox 2 months ago from FLL. I am not a fan of cruise ship warm water lobster tails so it was not that big of a deal but here are people posting about Luminae lobster tails.
  5. That is part of my plan, based on the butler service for our 5 previous SS retreat cruises.
  6. Don't you love the Celebrity spin on how they are making things better while they cancel the cruises of thousands of customers this week? That is called Royalization.
  7. We are on the Nov 4th cruise but we booked with Club Orange to avoid the long check in lines in San Diego and to get the Club Orange dining room.
  8. September 14th from Rotterdam to Athens for 12 nights on the Apex.
  9. I believe the Reflection also has 77 Sky suites including the Aft facing SS. So that now means the team of 2 butlers will have a lot of work to do.
  10. I like that instead of being Royalized, which is what the new CEO of Celebrity is doing her best to accomplish.
  11. Thank you for your positive comments we will be on the K'Dam in November. Paying $1.18 for a Cosmo is better than paying $12. Last year on the Oosterdam the month before HAL changed their policy a drink over by $1 was not covered in the HIA and you had to pay the full $12 price.
  12. I have never seen a price list as we were lucky to have a butler who suppled everything free in all 5 post Covid Retreat cruises.
  13. I will know first hand next month, in a SS on the Apex, and I fully intend to test the limits of what we can and can no longer get through our butler.
  14. Not in a Sky Suite, I asked for this from a former butler when they were still dedicated personal butlers.
  15. I also had the Sam Adams Lager changed out to Milwaukee's Best. The booze was all mini.
  16. I got Mccallan 12 year old in my fridge last year for free, that I exchanged for Old Kentucky rot gut.
  17. We will be long gone from cruising with Celebrity by that time.
  18. the Suites above Celebrity Suites have been able in the past to order RS from Luminae and some of the specialty restaurants for dinner in their cabins. My sister and BIL did this in an Edge Villa last year. Not sure if they could get Luminae breakfasts.
  19. They serve something called Guinea Hen, maybe a new name for Crow?
  20. My problem with MSC is not finding longer itineraries we want on the few ships that have YC. We are looking more at Oceania for the more interesting itineraries.
  21. On the Equinox in June there were no lobsters available any night in Luminae.
  22. Here is the first CC report from someone on a cruise with the butler changes.
  23. Congratulations on being the first to post back on CC about the changes in Butler services. I knew the unofficial having a butler stocking the mini fridge with beer and wine would be lost in Sky Suites. So the SS "Team" of Butlers is just 2 and they are in Michaels club what a joke.
