Use it to try something new 😃

On the Enchanted they had some great specialty coffees!
I loved the Honey Lavender Latte in the International Cafe.

If you are a tea drinker you can order a pot of tea in the IC as well

    (not just a cup)

I would use it to try some new drinks, you may find a new favorite.

I have also done cruises w/o the package and didn’t feel deprived especially since you can bring wine and soda w/you.

I’m all for trying new cocktails!!! I can’t wait. I need to do some research about what is available.

We didn't because most times we went to our favorite bar. (it gets us better drinks). Room service is available and you can order multiples of each drink.

I think that is really good. When we sailed Celebrity the drinks package didn’t include room service.

Although 15 drinks per person is a little much we managed to just about hit the limit most days during our trip.

It's almost impossible to find anyone to buy a drink since most people have the package.

I think we'll skip it on our next cruise and just bring our own stock.

I see that the 15 drink limit is only on alcoholic drinks so coffees, water, mocktails etc is unlimited. Sounds good.

Did you use the package for room service?

  4. We had a fabulous cruise onboard Sky Princess but on the last day I woke up with what I thought was a heavy cold. I drove as far as my parents and my sister suggested I take a lateral flow test and yes I tested positive for Coronavirus.

I tried contacting Princess to let them know but no response. I’m still testing positive more than a week later.

Deck 9 Dolphin deck was the covid deck and sealed off to passengers.

  5. Just off Sky Princess. Andi was our cruise director and he was great fun. We really enjoyed the Wake Show everyday and he always made a point of chatting to as many passengers as possible throughout the day and before the shows at the theatre.
Fingers crossed he is still onboard when we sail again in July!  He was on television in the UK recently on the Royal Princess with comedian and presenter Susan Calman. The programme was on when we were sailing so I need to google it!!

  6. The kicker in the e-mail is:

If you are unable to provide a "fit to travel" letter from your physician or have a compromising medical condition, they will provide you with a Future Cruise Credit to come back and sail with them at a later time.

Will PCL cure me of Diabetes? That would be wonderful as I have been fighting this disease for over 20 years. So until I am over this disease Princess will provide me with a Future Cruise Credit?
Surely they can't stop diabetics from cruising!

  7. Thinking about the speedboat ride to Sugar Beach (Jalousie Beach) but seems like a long ride. Is there a nice beach we can get to by taxi? Anything else fun to do near the Port? Here's what I found so far. Just looking for a nice beach and some good food for lunch.

Pigeon Island - north end of island, minimal snorkeling, 30-45 minutes away

Réduit Beach, $30 taxi ride, beach is free, $20 for 2 chairs and umbrella.Allow extra time to return to ship, only one road and can be busy.

Vigie Beach, close to port 5-10 minute taxi ride, $10 one-way.Small boardwalk with local food, drinks, and clean restrooms. No snorkeling.Traffic, road and airport nearby.Charge for bathroom use?

Does Vigile Beach have loungers and umbrellas?

  8. If you’re concerned that you’re getting charged for the drink despite having purchased the package, just stop by a kiosk and check your account. If it shows drink charges, head over to the Service desk and they’ll be removed. Some people print out their confirmation before boarding, in case there’s any question.

But really, don’t worry about it.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm a born worrier! I've printed out the cruise summary which shows all the packages but hopefully there won't be a hiccup. Not long now only 6 days!!!!!
