Because this thread popped up on my Google feed. I don't have "status" with any particular cruise line, so I look for certain regions I might like to cruise at and then look at individual lines.
I've researched several cruise lines, looked at pros and cons for each, compared prices, etc. It appears that Carnival appeals to a younger, rowdier crowd- drunken brawls, weed smoking, etc. are not my cup of tea. I'll leave it for the millennials and Gen-Xers....
Good for you. 🙄🙄 This millennial is glad she won't run into you on any cruises.

No food on a cruise ship is worth an extra $150.

You'll be fine! I hate people, but I LOVE cruising. I can always find somewhere quiet and oit of the way for the times when I just want to be alone.

The food...I really don't like any of it. It sure doesn't stop me from cruising, though!

They are searching for the following cruises:
4/5/10 (5day) CARNIVAL FANTASY Western Caribbean
8/29/09 (5day) CARNIVAL HOLIDAY Western Caribbean
8/18/07 (5day) CARNIVAL HOLIDAY Western Caribbean
Whoops...I just saw them mention the Glory and the Fantasy.

The Glory leaves from New Orleans, so it goes to places like Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize, Honduras, and Grand Cayman.

I wear contacts, so I always bring an extra pair as well as my glasses.

The Fantasy! It was my first ship and I loved it!

Around 10:30 in New Orleans.

My very first cruise was on the Fantasy in 2009 and I've been hooked ever since!

Been discussed hundreds of times on here. Read the covid testing thread at the very top of the forum. Use the forum search function as well.
Thanks for your less than helpful advice.

Why would you want to risk checking it?! Absolutely anything could happen to it. Don't let your meds or medical devices out of your sight!

I don't want to spend the time it takes to eat in the MDR. Personally, I don't like much of the food on any ship, so I eat a lot of salads and fruit. I like being able grab a quick bite and get back to the fun.

I love cruises, but it definitely isn't the only way that I will travel. I have a cruise booked for next summer, along with a beach trip to Pensacola Beach and a possible train trip to Chicago for Christmas. I can't imagine limiting myself to only one type of travel, but to each their own.

Hey all! I have taken several cruises, all with my mom. Unfortunately, mom is not going to be able to go on the cruise we have booked for June. I am looking at doing a name change so my boyfriend will be able to go with me..it will be his first cruise! I have looked on the Carnival website, so I know that I will have to call to make the name change, but am wondering how complicated the process will be. I'm pretty sure that we booked under the Early Saver rate, so I know that we will have to pay a fee. To those of you that have made a name change, please tell me that it was just an easy phone call!

My first cruise was on the Fantasy, and the majority of my cruises have been on Fantasy class ships. I wouldn't hesitate to cruise on a Fantasy call ship again, but I would really miss the outdoor movie screen. I love watching movies on the Lido deck at night!

You really need to chill. Waiting another hour or so really isn't that big of a deal. In my opinion, the new system works well and is much more organized than it used to be.

I really enjoyed the Glory. It never felt crowded and it seemed to flow well. I absolutely loved the Serenity Area!

Can you do the cemetary and ghost tours in the afternoon (although not as spooky, I'm sure)
I really don't know. I do know that you used to be able to walk through the cemeteries on your own, but that has ended. You now have to be on an organized tour. I would just google New Orleans ghost tours and you will find a bunch of companies.

I have no interest in the sail away parties. You can find me in a lounger, watching the water go by!

In May, I cruised to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. My passport expired in June and I had no trouble at all. According to the Carnival website, it is recommended that your passport be valid for 6 months, not a requirement.
Breakfast on early port day
in Carnival Cruise Lines

On some early port days, they have been known to start breakfast early. And as others have said, you can always order room service.
