  1. Noticed a few people walk out of the toilet without washing their hands as well on our last cruise. 🤢
  2. Ive just completed our refund request. Process is simple and straightforward. Sent email with name and order number, they auto replied instantly then within 30 mins I had another email back with the return details etc. I've took the parcel to the post office, paid £3.35 for postage, got the postage proof, replied to their last email with a photo of the postage proof and they've refunded my card almost straightaway. They emailed refund confirmation also. Hope that makes sense!
  3. The website seems to be updated now, testing still required for:- cruise numbers: R217, J221, & N233.
  4. Both the emails I had came direct from P & O, both cruises were booked through a travel agent so it looks like you'll hear from P & O. Both the cruise Ive recieved this email for are 14 nights Caribbean Britannia fly cruises
  5. So now ive got to go through the rigmarole of canceling the tests that are sat here waiting to get done next week and claim a refund. At least I didn't have to pay anything out for the `Lloyds tests I booked for the December one. Plus personally Id rather everyone was tested
  6. Ive just had email that testing is no longer required for our November 5th Britannia, also had a second email for our December Britannia no longer required on that one. Not sure what to make of this! Do P&O like to deliberately mess us around
  7. What's the reason for the cancellation?
  8. Who did you use for the test Megabear?
  9. Hi My understanding is that you can do your test at anytime up to 2 days before the day you cruise and also on the actual day you cruise. So for example your cruise sails on Saturday, you can do your test on Thursday, Friday or Saturday at any time on those days as long as you have the certification to prove it either digitally or printed. Is that everyone else’s understanding? This is obviously for the cruises that currently require testing. Anyone in doubt should check directly with P & O. Here is the link with up to date info as of today (25/10/22) https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-with-confidence/vaccination-and-testing-policy
  10. Here’s the link to P&Os current vaccination and testing policy. From their website 24/10/2022 https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-with-confidence/vaccination-and-testing-policy
  11. 100% , There's a pop up message on the site now saying the service is discontinued, the purchase buttons now say sold out. You need to call or email them for a refund if you can't use them, as you say, a right PITA
  12. Yep, we've booked tests with Lloyds for a December cruise, they don't take payment until you take the test either which is better 👍
  13. UPDATE Ive logged back in this morning to check availability before I called to complain and there are date available in the calendar so I’ve been able to book us in. HOWEVER, after I booked there’s a note on the final screen that says the service is stopping on November 10th and won’t be available after that date. So be aware Prenetics is not suitable if your cruise is after 10th November
  14. Hi All A heads up for anyone about to purchase lateral flow tests from Prenetics. I’ve just come to book our test appointments after buying the tests today and the next available appointment is January 10th!! Lol this obviously doesn’t work for our November cruise. Absolutely nowhere on the website does it say they don’t have slots free for nearly 3 months! Ridiculous Select a time slot Project Screen by Prenetics.pdf
  15. As Phil said things are different now compared to before covid. We've got an Arvia Caribbean booked which we originally booked on launch day. 22 months in advance. BASIC COST £2,717.00 £2,717.00 =£5,434.00 + Birmingham Flights £200.00 =£5634 It came with £120 total cabin credit I Cancelled it and rebooked on 13th September. The new price was £5404, we lost the first deposit of approx £250 so the net cost was approx the same but the new booking came with £750 cabin credit so we came out around £630 ahead. We're in the same cabin. We've got another Caribbean booked for late 2023 which Ive also cancelled and rebooked saving hundreds on that one as well. Ive done the same with several Med and Canary Islands cruises for next year, all booked at launch, all rebooked with cheaper prices and hundreds in extra OBC. I also booked another Britannia Caribbean for this year that we got for £1199 each including the regional flights, that's madness its so cheap
  16. On previous cruises we've done that stopped at Port Canaveral there were excursions to the space centre. We decided to go at the last minute so the P & O excursion was sold out but we got a cab with another couple and just paid for a ticket at the entrance. Well worth a visit
  17. Yes, we've noticed the same. Virtual queues would be much better I think
  18. It says 14 days before on the website. Actually Ive just logged into the site and for our upcoming cruise it give you the actual date you can book dining at the top of the dining page inside an info box
  19. Oh ok, I thought that previously they had been contact tracing the whole coach not just pax sitting adjacent
  20. Our last cruise was Ventura 17th September. Our cruise sounds exactly like yours. I noticed lots of cabins on our deck getting regular room service because they were most likely isolated. There was a huge amount of people coughing around the ship. If I had to guess at the amount of people with covid onboard I’d say it was definitely in the hundreds. Our next one is November, also for 2 weeks but with an observed test 2 days before so it’ll be interesting to see how that one pans out in comparison
  21. There was a cabin next to ours that was getting this I think, they always got room service at dinner and noticed breakfast as well the same and noticed someone in a Prenetics shirt and plastic gown delivering what looked like test kits to them
  22. Yeah, we've got to test for our November Britannia, much better this way I think than our last Ventura cruise that had no testing and hundreds with covid onboard. Id rather test than have to start wearing a mask halfway through the cruise. Plus if you test and its certified properly you have a better chance of claiming if you are refused boarding
  23. There are tests on the ship if you report as ill. If you report as ill you get tested, if you're tested positive you have to quarantine. You didn't answer my question. If some random passenger you shared a table with at dinner tests positive does the whole table have to also quarantine? They can contact trace you from the cabin number you checked in at the dining room with. There was a large number of passengers quarantined on our last cruise.
  24. How are they handling it now if you've shared a dining table with strangers and someone on the table tests positive for covid? Are there still making you quarantine? What about if someone on the coach to the port tests positive? Are they still quarantining or turning away anyone on the coach?
