  1. :)Sky Class questions Oasis of the Seas We'll be in an owner's suite on Oasis in January. What are the signature activities for this class? Do they include any ship tours? Is there free bottled water in the Suite Lounge? Can the concierge arrange to get us off the ship quickly to meet a tour in Falmouth? Any assistance will be appreciated

Google RCCL Sky class perks you will find all of them there

  2. Pre cruise planning always begins with serious heart to heart, sit down with our Golden Girls, Maya and Payton. We go over the house rules...no friends over, no parties [emoji322] Our wonderful live in dog sitter will keep them in check.....as you can see, I have 100% of their attention here....

I may, or may not have been eating a bowl of popcorn during our chat [emoji6]

It’s all fun and games till the suitcases come out, and then I am gifted with the official “stink eye”

  3. The treatment in the restaurant during the dinner should be the same. The host at CK can't play "power trips" on us... Oh, wait... that's the only time he can pay power trips on us and treat us as a poor people who are crushing rich ppl's feast but don't belong there. We paid money for our suite for 1 week more than he makes in a month. He can't be the one deciding who is worthy and who is not. I used to work for major airline and the treatment for first, business and economy class was essentially the same, just premium passengers got extra services. The smile and good attitude was for all kind of passengers, including stand-by/staff paid tickets. It is customer service 101 and sadly host at CK was not taught that.

    What ship was that on?

  4. I disagree with the "life is too short to get upset" strategy....I work in mental health and sacrificing your self respect and accepting this behaviour can affect you negatively....bullies rely on those who will accept and stay quiet....it gives them power. Speak up for yourself for no other reason than to sleep well at night knowing you have set boundaries for the way people are expected to treat you.

    Absolutely

  5. The people who will shove their large group into an overcrowded elevator, so that everyone is pressed up against each other, are the same people who will absolutely refuse to step off the elevator at the next floor to let the people in the back get off.

Twice this week on Escape, I've had to shove past someone who refused to let me off an elevator (both times women, for what it's worth). One of them was saying "just get off, just get off", while blocking the doorway. Maybe they think they're smaller than they are? Maybe they think I'm smaller than I am? I have no idea. Both times I've had to physically push past and through them. Frankly, my days of being in a mosh pit are well behind me, but if you're going to block an exit, I'm going to move you.

(Also, it's flu season, and if you think it's a good idea to force people into direct physical contact with an elevator full of strangers, you're a damned moron.)

If you're a person who won't move to let the people in the back of the elevator get off, will you please explain your reasoning so me?

We take the stairs most times even if it’s more than a few floors unless it’s an uncrowded time of day/night. You’re right, some people just won’t move and love to give attitude.

  6. But a Star class passenger paid 3 to 4 times as much for their cabin and amenities. Of course they get results. Just like a person that buys a Rolls Royce gets better quality and service than one that buys even the best Ford. Money makes the world go round. It's the way of things. And we can argue if that's right or wrong but the fact of the matter, it just is.

As for the door knocking, they have that because if you're in a JS you're not entitled to be there for free cocktails, hang out all day or eat other meals. Those that work there should not have to check each person's card. They want to just be able to assume if you're in there, you belong there. Not sure why it's such a big deal. We did it in a JS . No prob, just waited and were patient, polite and didn't take ourselves to seriously or take it personally. Everyone is so easily offended now days.

    Well said [emoji106]

  7. I was on Allure a couple of weeks ago and in a suite.

Coastal Kitchen was busy throughout the cruise and I noticed that restaurant manager was pushing back bookings from JS guests but would do his best to accommodate us.

From this experience I conclude it very much depends on the discretion of the restaurant manager and how busy the Coastal Kitchen is on a given cruise.

There is no harm in asking the restaurant manager IMO.

We have seen JS guest reservations pushed back for full suite guests.

  8. Does anyone have suggestions for a quiet beach in Cozumel? We're not into water parks, scuba etc. Some sun, sand, splashing in the waves maybe some cool drinks and food is probably enough for us.

Resortforaday.com. Then look at Cozumel. They offer day passes at resorts food and drinks included. You get the beach and pools restraunts and bars usually transportation is included

  9. Based on my experience this past week on Allure, just because your in a Junior Suite does not mean they are going to let you book into Coastal Kitchen for Dinner. This was the biggest disappointment of my sailing on a an oasis class ship, in fact when i tried to book dinner twice the lady at the host station was indigent, mad me feel like i was a steerage passenger trying to get into First Class

We were in a JS but just upgraded to a GS because our TA got us a great price. We were told that the concierge will email a week before welcoming us and we were told to request dates at CK at that point to help ensure we get in even though we are in a GS, CK can get busy at times. We love it there, ate 5 out of 7 nights on our Oasis cruise but we were in a CLS on that sailing.

  10. just off the Alure past Sunday 11 Feb 2018, had junior suite JS, Diamond Lounge was superb, but think i could get a reservation in Coastal Kitchen earlier than 8pm (BTW way to late for us to eat dinner), Not a chance, on top of that the lady at the host station in Coastal Kitchen all but directly told me I was just in a Junior Suite and she could care less to help me ( worst attitude i have ever experienced on RCI cruises.

    I hope you reported her
