We stayed there last year and they had a room to store your luggage after we checked out.
Thank you so much for the info!
-
I do believe it opens daily at 4pm
-
Nope, you have to wait like 5 min between drinks. So annoying
-
Friends are on there now, technical difficulties with the ship so they stopped in Freeport
-
Thanks, I tried mapquesting it but it wouldn't find Amber cove.

Which dining used for anytime dining?

Does anyone know if they will secure your luggage if your room is not ready when you arrive? We are staying post cruise and really hope I didn't mess up!

Other posters can give you specific recommendations but the Blue Lagoon area fits your requirements.
Do not stay right at the airport, it is a bad part of Miami.
The Courtyard Marriott Coral Gables is in a much better part of town, walking distance to the tons of dining and shopping on the Miracle Mile and has a free airport shuttle.
I would personally enjoy Coral Gables much better than the Blue Lagoon area.
What is the miracle mile?

Every cruise before my sunshine cruise had one, including princess

I feel like I might bring mine.... Thanks for the idea!

It's just one day post cruise, we have a early flight out Monday morning but it seemed like the only location with something to do that won't require a cab.... Bad idea?

Mid April, holiday inn has a AAA rate of 160 right now but I'd really like to not spend another $50 on a cab

I'm looking to stay in the biscayne Bay Area for around $160, but would like a hotel that atleast offers a shuttle to the airport in the morning. We are staying post cruise. Any suggestions? Holiday inn looks nice but no shuttle.

You will have a wonderful time!
We used Irie Tours this past Thanksgiving week while on the Carnival Breeze. Our guide and driver were great and gave a fantastic tour.
The highlight of the tour was the almost 2 hours we spent at Mambo Beach Club (at Seaquarium Beach)... it was truly lovely and we got to enjoy the most beautiful sunset while floating in the water. We had a blast driving back to the ship with the disco lights going inside the bus and everyone on the bus ( including my 69 year old parents) were singing and bouncing along to the music in their seats!
Irie tours also provides ice cold water, sodas, and beer and even stopped to fill up on dwindling supplies of beer mid tour.
Have fun!
Which tour did you do? I'd love to stay at the beach until sunset and see the disco lights!

I havn't but think it's a good idea and don't think you'd have a problem doing so.

Yep I was pretty disappointed when I discovered no mirror in November and thought maybe it was just our room since I hadn't read anything about it before we sailed!! I had to resort to using the fully mirrored ELEVATORS to catch a glimpse of my entire outfit!

We had anytime dining and never had a problem getting a table for two on the sunshine, yes some nights we had a 10min wait but we would stop at alchemy and get our drinks to bring into MDR since getting a drink there takes 30 min sometimes...
-
Awesome thanks. Our room on the sunshine didn't have it and I was surprised how much i missed it!!
-
Is there a full length mirror?

I've never been to the Dominican republic and I tried mapping it but found no answer. How far is Amber cove from la romana? We are stopping at la romana on the breeze in April but doesn't seem like there's many beaches around there? Can you take a taxi to Amber cove?
Thanks

Thank you for the awesome review and pics. We will be on Sunshine in just 12 days! We are on deck 6 aft, I'm hoping that there aren't any greasy smells when we are on there..
Yay so exciting! Have fun and make sure to try the water slides!! I'm curious if you notice the smell....[emoji57]

Would you mind if I saved the picture of ocean at the top ?? I would love to make that my screen saver on my phone ? I'm doing a journey cruise on the Sunshine at the end of April .
Yes of course! I'm flattered you like it! [emoji5]️

We are going on a 9 day Journeys cruise in May. Was there a lot of unique things that you noticed are different in a journeys vs regular cruise?
Not really, just the throw back sea day and the longer sailing with more unique ports. The crew wore "journeys" pins but other than that it didn't feel any different than a non- journeys cruise.
