  1. I spoke to a bar manager yesterday. He said they offer the Crown & Anchor beverage package discount on Days 1&2 only (as well as pre-cruise on the website). He wouldn't give me the exact price for some odd reason. It was like pulling teeth just to get him to talk about it.

     

    He also said they will start offering the drink card after Aruba. Aruba is tomorrow (day 6).

    Not a chance!! I have been trying to use their booking tool on and off for the past 2 days and all I get is a blank screen when I click on a specific itinerary....unbelievable..... Their IT department could not be any worse:mad:

  3. Just watched a podcast from an agency who shall not be named on another message board, and they gave some great and very detailed information about the suite reorganization. Worth a listen. And according to the podcast, the JS is getting a bump up in benefits.

     

     

    Can you please provide information to point us to this podcast so others can listen?

  4. Yes, we saw Sebastian several times and saw his interaction with his guests and it was clearly a different relationship than we had with Reyno. It was disappointing but it did not ruin our cruise. We booked this cruise for the room and not for the genie.

     

    He did make our specialty reservations for us but again, in the email I sent him, I had specific times requested and instead he just booked all of them at 6:00pm and told me we could request changes. Not sure why he didn't book the times I requested up front but I guess booking them all at 6:00pm was easier?? I did email him a couple of times throughout the week to have dining reservation times changed and he always responded and was able to change them.

  5. We just disembarked Saturday and we were in 8330 AQ suite with Reyno as our genie. I saw a previous poster who had Reyno and appeared to have a completely different experience with him than we had. Other than embarkation and debarkation, we had approximately 10 minutes of face time with him the entire cruise. We never saw him. There was one email the day before we embarked and that was the only email we received pre-cruise and he didn't appear to have read my response to the one email or the survey. There were no alcoholic beverages in the room as requested and I had to resend him the list again after I mentioned it. I really don't want to reiterate all of the issues we had (including he did not show up at Grease and had not reserved us seats even though we had confirmed it with him the night before) but I will sum it up to say that the service was upon request (via email or phone call) and nothing was done proactively. He never checked in with us to see if we needed anything and nothing special was done without us asking. I was also told that we were not allowed to request bottles of wine in the room from him or he would have to charge us which is completely different than what I had read about others experiences so that was very disappointing. Don't get me wrong, we had a fabulous cruise however, the genie experience was definitely disappointing. I don't know if he was overwhelmed with other guests or what but I definitely expected more. This was not the experience that RC is advertising.

  6. Flying out today and still zero communication regarding our requests for reservations or anything else. Our genie is Reyno which we found out from the initial email sent 8 days ago. But now no communication regarding meeting us at the port at any particular time and no link to LOOP. I guess we will show up at the Star class area tomorrow and see what happens. Even if the cruise ends up going well, this has definitely left a bad taste in our mouths regarding the Star Class service. I will be putting these comments on my survey at the end of the cruise.

  7. Just an update....we sail in 2 days and I still have not received any reply to my email that was sent in reply to the initial Genie email on 2/9 and no Loop link. I am sure that everything will work out and it will be a lovely experience, however, RCI advertises communication prior to the cruise and therefore that is what people expect. Like I said, I am sure it will all work out but it has been disappointing up to this point. The pre-cruise communication is supposed to be one of the perks....

  8. We are in a 2BR AQ suite on Harmony sailing 2/18. We received an email from the Genie on 2/9 and I replied the same day however I have not heard anything back. No email with the loop link either.... Hoping to get a response today since it has been 4 days. I know they are busy with current passengers but even a quick reply would be great. Like you, I am mostly concerned about the dinner reservations I requested. Sailing in 5 days.....

  9. We have already purchased the Deluxe Bev Pkg with the 20% discount, when we get on the ship, assuming that the D+ discount of 30% is offered, how do we go about getting the reduced price? Can anyone with actual experience please comment on who helped you with this onboard? Also, if the original pkg was refunded and then you repurchased, did this go back to the original credit card or was the refund given in OBC? Same question if just the difference was refunded, card or OBC given? Thanks for your help!

  10. Reyno was our Genie and he was great! He did everything he could to accommodate our requests (including a last minute shore excursion change). I wasn't sure what to expect but I found that it was nice to be able to message him on the LOOP app in the morning for a request later that afternoon or night (ie dinner reservations, requesting seats for a show or asking for late night treats). He said the best way to get him was to call but I never had a request that I felt was urgent enough to do so. You'll have an amazing time!

     

    Thanks so much for the information!! We leave in 2 weeks and 3 days and I am not sure I am going to get much sleep between now and then! Too excited!!☺️

  11. I am glad it worked out for you.

     

    Odds are that you will have a fantastic time because of your Genie. When we were on the HM in December we witnessed all of the Genies working diligently to provide an excellent experience.

     

    There was a recent review on another site that sang the praises of their Genie named Reyno and included some photos with him. It was a testimony to the amazing program Royal Caribbean has created and how that particular Genie brought it to fruition.

    We just found out that we are going to have Reyno as our Genie on our upcoming cruise and we are so excited!! Can you post a link or direct me to the review you are referencing above on "another site"? Thank you!!

  12. Just an update...we are 2 weeks and 5 days out from our sailing and still haven't received the survey. I called C&A this morning and they said I definitely should have received the survey 6 weeks out. They said they are contacting the ship to let them know. She also said we should be receiving the email (not the survey) directly from the genie at 2 weeks out. We will see!! Really excited for this cruise and hoping the Genie experience is fabulous!!
