Thank you so much for all of the information. I am curious if you paid for Starbucks drinks? I was just reading 2 reviews on the Allure that mentioned they did not pay for Starbucks or Ben and Jerry's. Did you end up being charged for anything? Upgraded steaks in Chops? Just curious... thanks!!

Thanks for posting!! Was the genie able to book chefs table and hibachi? I made reservations online and I am hesitant to cancel them not knowing if availability will be an issue.... Any other info you can share would be great!! We are leaving in 3 weeks and 6 days but haven't received our survey yet. I am going to give it 1 more week then I will be calling. Thanks!!

We are less than 5 weeks out and still haven't received our Genie questionnaire..... Sailing on Harmony 2/18. Is this unusual?

Can someone please tell me if the waterslides are open all day when the ship is docked the various ports?

We are leaving 3 weeks from Saturday and I am anxiously awaiting the email from our genie.

Curious what date / room you're in Liberty Girl? We'll be in the Presidential Family Suite w/ Star Class on Harmony Feb. 4th. Very excited, and we'll definitely be using GoPro's and reviewing the experience!

We are in the 2 bedroom Aquatheater suite on deck 8. We are sailing Feb 18th so you will be a couple weeks ahead of us!! I will definitely watch for your review!! Thanks!:)

Hi Andrew, I am actually quite familiar with your review and periscopes!!;) We were on the Allure cruise with you last August and saw you a few times around the ship (we didn't meet though). I was bummed that you weren't in Star class on your recent Harmony cruise because I am interested in how the genie service is on the Harmony. There seem to be some slight differences between the ships on the things that are included and the services provided by the individual genies so I am looking for some Harmony reviews before we cruise in February. Thanks for your response and please keep periscoping!!:)

I am curious about the noise level by the Ultimate Abyss down on the boardwalk....is there a lot of screaming? We are in the deck 8 AQ suite in February and I was wondering if we would be hearing a lot of screaming on the balcony. Thanks!

Well I took the plunge and bought the $2,600 business class tickets!! So excited and I think it will be well worth it!!

I am thinking about pulling the trigger on the $2600 business class tickets but my cruise is not until next August. Do you think it is too far out to buy them? How far out do you normally buy your tickets? Thanks again!

$2600 for business class in mid-summer is pretty average, maybe a bit high as many airlines put business class on sale for mid-summer travel. $1600 for coach is quite high in my view. (The business class sale fares usually don't show up for booking until sometime in the spring, i.e. book in April for travel in August.)

 

I would look at prices for both coach and business class that depart out of Windsor or (better) Toronto; for the time being the supply-demand picture for Canadian departures is way, way more favorable than from the US. For next August, for example, I can see business class fares from Toronto to Barcelona on American or British Airways for US $2100, almost $1000 cheaper than the same days flying from Detroit. It might make driving to Toronto well worth it.

 

You have plenty of time; the planes aren't going to sell out, and in fact prices might well fall once the airlines have a better handle on things like fuel costs. Use that time to learn how to use ITA - http://matrix.itasoftware.com - for its 30-day calendar function. It's well worth the effort.

The current Air2Sea prices for flights from Detroit to Barcelona are approximately $1,600 for Economy and $2,600 for Business Class. I know August is high season for Europe travel but I have no idea if these prices are high or low. Could someone please provide a common range for traveling to Europe in August based on your experience? Thanks for your help.

Has anyone booked the dining package and their individual dining reservations to ensure that they got the days/times they wanted? When you got on the ship was it a huge hassle to get the individual reservations refunded? I hate not being able to pre-select the times that I want so it would be worth it to me to pre-pay for both and then get refunded on the ship. Looking for anyone with actual experience doing this. Thanks for your help!

RATS!!! I was really hoping they would not have changed to the ala carte menu at CP 150. I really do not like the new concept at all. Makes it seem less special but we will give it a try and see how it goes....
