  1. More than likely you can not changed what you booked on line. And I wouldn't do it any way. Stay with what you have and try it out first. You can go to the Windjammer any time of day you want. If you decide you don't want to go to the MDR just don't go but don't cancel it. It is easier to change your plans once you get there. I have been on the Oasis and the Quantum and we

    enjoyed both.

Just make your concerts plans ahead of time. Again if you don't want to go

after you get on board just don't go. But it is sometimes hard to get into certain shows because it is all booked. We never had a problem getting into

any shows on board but you get last choice of seats if you don't have reservations.

  2. I was on the Quantum and we got internet free. We could email back and forth but I couldn't text from my Verizon . Only because I would be paying

Verizon a big bill when I got home. I hope some day the cell phone companies

come down in price . Their loss I guess. I won't pay all the extra fees.

I pay enough for internet services and cell phone as it is.

And why we got free internet services on board that particular week I don't know.

  3. I was on the Quantum in late Jan. Loved it. Been on the Oasis and Allure loved them too. I liked the flexible dining option. Kinda a hassle to sign up for each night. But we went directly to one of the dining halls and they helped us sign up each night. Faster than doing it your self with their services .

I won't be going back to N.J. in Jan, or Feb. ever. I am from Ohio and I want to get out of cold weather right off the bat. We had 2 days going and 2 days coming back were too cold to be on the top deck. Wind was awful. It will be Fla. from now on. That was our only complaint.

We loved all the new high tech on the Quantum. We didn't have time to do everything we wanted to do. Maybe if we had less time in the casino we could of got to do more. And yes we won probably over $1000. between my husband and I. No we didn't come home with a profit but we played on their money most of the time. If you are a casino person you understand.

    Love the entertainment.

I won't be going back to Carnival any time soon. Once you do RC you won't go back to Carnival. I can't speak about the other cruise lines.

The showers were bigger on the Quantum than Oasis. That was a big plus.

No you won't regret going on the Quantum unless it is Jan. and 3 ft of snow to deal with to get there. And winds for 2 days. But that is any ship leaving out of N.J.

  4. I know I had enough points to play the slot tournament one night free. Then I also got a tshirt free that I will never wear. Wish they would hand out color shirts instead of the cheap white ones.

I did pretty well on the slots a couple weeks ago. I had won over $1000. for the week. So I was playing on their money. My husband also was playing on their money all week too. Now the bingo I just gave away my money.

My sister won second place with the slot tournament and won in bingo. She came away with $400. The beginning of the week her luck was not good.

One woman was shouting and yelling thinking she won $10,000. So everyone gathered around her only to find out she won $100. I don't make a fool of myself until the money is in my hand.

  5. WE took a cab. I don't think we could of walked to it. Where we docked it was pretty far away. I think we went over a pretty big bridge. We went early and got to walk around inside of the casino and play a few slots. Left and went back on the ship.

We are not ones to shop because most of it is from China . Why eat off the ship when it is included in your cruise.

  6. I was on that sailing. I liked Ken Rush. We were with him on the Allure. He knows his job and can organize the whole week. Yes, I heard him on the phone as well. He should of kept it private.

Nice we didn't have to listen to people on their phones all week. We could e-mail home on our phones. The WiFi was free. I was hoping to use our phones

on board so I could find my husband but it was explained to me I would be paying Verizon , my provider for that kind of service. I didn't want a $1000. bill when I got home. Besides it was nice not listening to people running their mouths on a phone all day long.

  7. We never had poor service from any of the employees. I treat them like I want to be treated. Some people are jerks from the get go and treat employees with disrespect. I am sure they do the same in their every day life as well.

It isn't the employees fault in the dining rooms that they are short on help. Blame RC. We saw that in the evening dinner halls. RC needs to hire more

help. Those people had too many tables to wait on. We felt that on the Quantum.

  8. We have been on the Allure, Oasis and the Quantum a couple weeks ago. Plan it all before you go on the cruise. Especially dinner options.. We did all free dining. On the Quantum you have to sign up for all the dining halls. We didn't and it was such a pain to do it. We went to the crowded customer services. They want you to go on a computer and figure it out. Everything was booked.

And it was taking us too much time to mess around on the computer. So we went to one of the dining halls and an employee finally helped us to figure it out.

Book your shows and all eating places before hand. Or you will be taking up your valuable time on computers. You can always skip anything you don't want to do. And a lot of the restaurants were booked. I learned my lesson.

  9. This happens on all ships first day so why get excited. Expect it. We went to the buffet found a seat every time. Might not of been as close as we wanted but big deal. We were just on the Quantum . Same story. But they also have other eating areas through out the ship.

Do you really expect 4000 seats at the same time?

  10. Why do you feel that the OP has to keep the IPads in the safe. Lots of us keep electronic and photography equipment worth lots more than the IPad outside in the room w/o any problems. I probably travel w $3000 - $4000 worth of equipment and I never put any of the stuff in the safe.

    DON

I always put any computers worth that much money in a safe. I leave nothing of value out since housekeepers walk in and out all day. You are too trusting of a person. Who knows they can also get on to your computer and get all kinds of information.

  11. I am going on the this ship in Jan. I can't figure out what the water package is.

It says starting at $39.00. but gives little details just how much water will be included the whole trip. Anyone order this package plan ? Could you explain a little further then what is on the internet?

    Thankyou for the pictures ....

  12. I have been on 4 other cruises with RC. What I wanted to know was if we do everything on line to check in just how does the Sea Pass work? Do they give you the card when boarding? Or is it mailed ahead of time? I keep hearing you just walk on but if you have to get in line for your Sea Pass how is that

not holding you up to just walk on?

I hope this cruise is just as nice as the Allure and Oasis. With so many

complaining about what is not included on this ship as the others. I am

hoping with the new attractions will give me the WOW. Only complaint I have the running track on top and not on another level like the other two ships.

Oh, and not leaving out of Fla. in Jan.

  13. It is pretty common to have people die on a ship. It is kept quiet. With all the older people traveling on them it happens. My husband had his heart attack

when he was 49 on a business trip. So it can happen anytime any where.

I read in the newspaper Vegas has 50 heart attacks a day there. Again

the older people travel there too. I saw 4 people being transported by the rescue squad in casinos there one year. All Older adults.

I am almost one of the older adults. Won't keep me home.

  14. Rodeway???? Been there once and will never go back.

The bus driver just laughed and said he hears the complaints about the hotel all the time.

A lot went on with the owner or manager of that hotel while we were there.

And it wasn't pretty. I too could give you 25 reasons not to go there.

You want cheap go there. Me I will camp out first. And I hate to camp.
