Call them again.  They sent me one when we canceled, and it had the cancellation number, the date canceled, and the phase , along with the total amount of cancellation charges.

That is the figure insurance will need.

Good idea to call them again.  It seems that a cancellation number is reasonable to request

  2. We were scheduled to go on the December 4, 2022 Wonder of the Seas but on December 1, 2022 I canceled because my father was dying (he died the next day)   It took awhile of back and forth on the phone on December 1 with the agent but finally he said I was canceled.  I asked to have an email sent to me confirming the the cancelation so I can submit it to my insurance for reimbursement.  He said he sent me an updated booking invoice which I didn't have a chance to actually look at until this weekend given all that went on with my father dying and planning his funeral.

The invoice sent to me on December 1 is just a copy of my booking invoice from June.  It doesn't show a cancelation.  So, I called RCCL today and they are telling me they don't send a cancelation invoice-all they can send is my September invoice but that shows what I booked, not that I canceled.

I certainly can't be the first person to cancel a cruise due to a death in the family.  Has anyone unfortunately dealt with this and successfully received an email from RCCL confirming you canceled your cruise?

After all, RCCL sends me a cancelation email when I cancel the drink package, or an excursion, or the internet, or a specialty restaurant.  Why can they not send me an email canceling the actual cruise?

Thanks so much for you advice

Thanks for this - I’ve checked out the thread above now. I want gel nail manicure & I know it will be more expensive that what I would normally pay at home but, taking into consideration the amount of the whole cruise/holiday, it’ll be a drop in the ocean😂

I just thought someone may have had a price list for the salon treatments.

I had a gel manicure last month on our Viking Sea Mediterranean Odyssey.  I booked as soon as I got on board the ship.  Rachel, who did my mani, was fantastic. The cost was about $100 plus tip.  Like you said considering how much the cruise cost, the mani was not out of line.  Plus I'm worth it as I'm sure you are too 🙂

  4. We will be in Venice two days before our August cruise.  The first day we plan to recuperate from jet lag and wander around St. Marks Square.  I'd like to book a tour of Venice or around Venice (Murano?) the second day.  We usually use Italy Tours for Italy but they don't do any tours in Venice.  What tour group would you recommend for either a more extensive tour of St. Marks Square (inside St. Marks and Doge Palace) and/ or Murano or even something else close to Venice?

    Thanks,

    Elise

For those of you who did the "Best of Rome & The Vatican" tour, did you do the optional Colosseum add-on? Part of me really wants to see the inside of the Colosseum but the other part knows it'll be a huge chunk of time to get through the security and entry lines, taking time away from other things we could be visiting.

We did this tour and did the add on for the Colosseum.  Since you get skip the line tickets, it doesn't take that long in security or entry lines.

  6. In November we had a 12:30 flight from MCO the day we got off the ship at Port Canaveral.  We walked off with our luggage and were at the airport with plenty of time to spare...And  we were there even in a time for fretting me

    We use this

and it handles our iphones (2) and ipads (2)

This has a two prong cord, but I believe the cabin outlets do have three prong outlets.

We use something like this also. It came in handy on our recent Mariner cruise since there were very few outlets in the cabin.

  8. My adult daughter has celiac and had absolutely no trouble finding GF food in both the Windjammer and the MDR when we were on Mariner in November.  At the Windjammer, the Chef would come talk to her about GF options if she didn't find what she wanted (most times she found GF options without asking for the chef).  At the MDR our waiters went above and beyond to provide her GF options including taking her order the night before for the next night.  Truly RCCL was fantastic about providing tasty GF options.

  9. We were on Mariner at Thanksgiving.  We couldn't book shows till we got on board and then used the RCCL app to book shows.  We were able to get everything we wanted when we wanted so maybe the trick is to book as soon as you board.

Loved the ice show!  We also went to the featured singer who had been on The Voice and also went to the Production Show.  Both were good but the Ice Show was my favorite.
