  1. Funny..., we were cruising the Caribbean as well in March, not SilverSea but Oceania. Our mother joined us. We have an Antarctica cruise planned with Silver Explorer, very much looking forward to that!
  2. Most Singaporeans live in public housing built by the HDB. A visit to a public housing town was enlightening and informative. You'll gain a deeper understanding of how Singaporeans live, shop, eat and worship as well as an appreciation of the vision, planning and hard work that has propelled Singapore to where it is today.
  3. Yes we remember you as well. Did you do some nice SilverSea cruises or made plans for the future?
  4. Indeed, the feeling of very few passenger is correct. Never had to make a reservation for La Terrazza!
  5. Indochine, maybe 2 tables occupied... . Atlantide was more crowded but never waiting lines.
  6. Old San Juan, Puerto Rico When the ship arrives San Juan, enjoying a sunny alfresco lunch at the Terrace Café is the perfect start of your journey to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The view from the ship is one of the most interesting views you will ever get from a cruise ship! When the ship is entering the bay, you will leisurely pass near the Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Old San Juan. As you get closer to your destination, you can see that a lot of cruise ships are already docked at the Old San Juan Piers. The Oceania Riviera docked at Pier 3, adjacent to Old San Juan, just a few blocks from the heart of the city and within easy walking distance.
  7. Thank you for your suggestion! We have been on Seabourn twice and you are right. Just looking for the right opportunity to sail with them again ;-)!
  8. A day on the French island Saint Barthélemy, also called St. Barts or St. Barths. We spent the day in Gustavia on two activities within walkable distance of where the tender boats dock. We were lucky that the annual Bucket Regatta took place. We spent some time admiring the beautiful and expensive yachts. After spending some time in Gustavia Harbor, we hit the beach. There’s one beach in town, Shell Beach, within 15 minutes walking from downtown. We spent a few hours snorkeling in the pristine water and enjoying the crystal clear warm water under the Caribbean sun. Shell Beach - unsurprisingly - is made up of millions of tiny shells.
  9. The ship was docked at La Place Carenage, right in the middle of the town center. Taxi to Pigeon Island Beach, located 14 km (9 miles) north of La Place Carenage. This beach is very quiet, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing beach day. Snorkeling is possible but there aren’t many colorful fish to see. Renting sunbeds is possible. Taxi back to Castries. Stroll in the town center of Castries. Visit to the Central Market for souvenirs, spices and tropical fruits and vegetables. The town itself wasn’t a highlight with the cracked pavements and dusty buildings but there are a few builidings worth a visit. The cathedral of the Immaculate Conceptionis one of the oldest on the island and considered the largest in the Caribbean. The Central Library is a beautiful historic building and a landmark in the political history of the city.
  10. Have a look at our video. We rent a car and drove around the island: Devil's bridge and Nelson's Dockyard, located in English Harbor. It was a rainy day so we didn't stop at the beaches.
  11. Wauw, you got a lot of cruise plans to look forward!
  12. Not sure about that haha! I think the food can be as good as on Regent but the personalized service will not be. Price quality ratio, Oceania is a very good choice, value for money guaranteed!
  13. Have a great voyage and enjoy the great food!
  14. We appreciate that you take the time for watching. I'm sure you will enjoy your cruise in Europe. Will she already be in Europe in februari? Which itinerary?
  15. Great Stirrup Cay with Oceania: a private nice small island: less crowded when visiting with a small ship, no troubles finding lounge chairs and a good beachside barbecue! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sUg22hJnTFE visit also our YouTube channel with more video’s! best regards, Jimmy
