Seattle was 90, Ketchikan 65 and partly cloudy.  In between was about 55 and foggy.

The weather can vary quite a bit.  Layers are best so you can adjust.  It is likely that your trip will include weather in the 50 to 75 degree range.  We have cruised Alaska many times and late Aug early Sept are usually pretty good.  We will be back on the week after you.

Would that imply that airlines can not ask if they are flying to a destination that requires vaccines?

You could bring whatever you could handle. No porters on the simulation. we had one big roller and one small one.  Everyone was self assist getting off.

The reason it was cancelled is that the Radiance will not be operating yet.

It is not scheduled to resume service until  4/23/2021 sailing from San Pedro to Vancouver.  

My understanding is that Royal is not requiring proof of vaccine but if you give it you have different access onboard.

I have been out of touch this past week. Did Royal change their rules for USVI sailings?

Too many complications carrying passengers at this time. They will arrive without them.

We were west of Vancouver Island both ways.  Nice smooth ride northbound.  We had a couple hours of rocking coming south and then fog most of the day.

Just home from Ovation simulated voyage, it went well.

We had a nice day in Ketchikan,  no rain and a little sun. The city is fairly deserted.   Several shops are closed.

There has been some tweaking of some of th protocols.  I will elabore later.

It will open when regular cruising begins.

Not a surprise but there is no bar service in the theater. 

Ripcord and Northstar are not operating.  I was informed they will be for the start of revenue cruises.

Flowrider open for the polar bear club.

Every door you may pass through has a sign indicating mask or mask free.

If you wear long sleaves be ready to pull one up to show your band.

Mario and Daniel tonight.  A tour and partial show in 270. Production show not ready yet. Installation crew onboard. Some trivia. Piano Bar and other small venues have performers.  Deck 4 theater V only no masks during performance.  Deck 5 masks. Dining and bars no mask while eating, drinking. Distancing in bars. Some venues are V only, no masks.

For this sailing it was 11:30.  Subject to change.

I forgot to check the sign, I will do so.   Today we participated in what the invitation called a Suite Lounge Simulation.  Social distancing was practiced.  Masks when moving around. Could not share tables unless linked. Empty tables between occupied ones.  Appetizers dished my staff.

Bands are white.

Masks were required as we waited in line outside.

As we entered the first step was to take pictures of our vaccine cards. At that step they also chose a some to be tested. Not us.

Then it was upstairs to security and normal check in.

Then on to the ship.

We have white bracelets, no tracelets.

As mentioned WJ lunch was a step up.  We need to scan in and out of the WJ.

At dinner they said we could scan QR code for menu.  The did provide real menu when I told him my battery was dead.

As I was exploring the ship it felt like turnaround day on a b2b and we were waiting for the new pax.

I heard there are 100 pinnacles.  At the show it there were a number of first time Royal and first time cruisers, I assume travel agents.

Solarium Bistro will not open on this voyage.

There will be  simulated SL tonight. I do not know how many are invited,   they may have more than one.

Internet is a bit slower than in the Caribbean.   My issue last night was a dead battery.

Yesterday it was 90 degrees in Seattle. Last night we started hearing the fog horn. A bit cooler today,  fog horn still sounding.

I would assume that it would be a crew issue.

* DL and CL concierge. (List of bar drinks with prices.  We know the drink vouchers are for drinks $13 or less...we wanted to make sure we know what to order. 😁)

* Captain Henryk Loy onboard?

* Lastly, what is the anticipated passenger capacity for the paid sailings?

No traffic problem but only 418 passengers and 1 ship. Normally there will be 2.

I will look for a drink list.  So far DL and CL are closed.
