I’m interested in booking this itinerary for next year. Any info (pros/cons) from those who have been in a similar cruisetour would be appreciated. I’m excited about the 4 days pre-cruise in Ireland, visiting Limerick, Killarney, and Cork. Okay, honestly, I’m excited about the entire itinerary. Just need to get my hubby excited about it, which is generally a challenge.

I’ll have beers waiting for me in my room when I board and I’ve still got the cooler! 😜😎 Ready for HMC in June!

For my first cruise to HMC in 2013 (only 2nd cruise ever, so still a newbie), Carnival sold a soft-sided cooler with 4 bottles of Bud Light and an opener, which I purchased. I had my room steward fill it with ice and walked off the ship with it. I actually did that the next time I cruised also. Don’t see the problem, really. I bought the beer from them and then drank it on their island. Guess I’d get in trouble for that now.

Ugh. Thanks! I believed this to be the case. Do you know if they’ve changed their policy for Half Moon Cay - can we use the pkg there? The last time I was there, I couldn’t.

For those with more Cheers experience than I - can I use the pkg for a bucket of beer? Can I order a beer and not have it opened so I can take it back to my room for later?

Thanks! I’ve only flown in on the day of the cruise once before - my first cruise in 2009. I’ll be taking the Carnival transfer for the first time since then as well. I’m confident it’ll all work out. Mostly. 😜🛳️

No layover. Flying direct from Cincinnati to FLL, landing at 9:30am.

I have a direct flight landing at FLL at 9:30am. Weather shouldn’t be an issue in June (fingers crossed).

Really, the cost of the GTY stateroom over me picking one was only $150 or so. Saving on a hotel and using points to fly. Call me budget girl!

I’m breaking all of my self-imposed rules, anyway. In an effort to sail as cheaply as possible as a solo cruiser in June, I’m letting Carnival pick my inside cabin (never allowed this before and I’ve only sailed inside on 2 prior cruises out of 11); I’m also flying in the DAY OF the cruise instead of the day before. Please pray for me! 😱🛳️

I’m 60, cruising solo and I’m interested in a hassle-free beach day. Is there anything close by that I can walk to without being harassed?
