  1. Yay!!! Finally got an answer from the MSC Club on missing credits. Had to email Sasso's Office. (Told him I loved the Customer Service on Board, but from MSC Club not so much)

After 2+ years and only expecting to get to 22 points, they have told me that I am actually at 32 points!!! and Silver. So that means just a 10 day cruise to get to Gold!!!

    Am Happy.

  2. Most cruiselines prohibit bicycles and other sporting equipment. Probably for safety reasons. There have been theme cruises where bicycles and/or motorcycles have been taken, but they are usually kept in secure storage. Then when in port, you have to wait for crew to release the bicycles.

Imagine, kids riding their bikes around the halls.

But check with your cruise line, they may allow it.

  3. Yeah, I got our cards, but still have not gotten the proper credit. We have been on three MSC Cruises. The first was before the Club, so no credit.

Our second was a 10 day. When I signed up, they were giving 7 points for just signing up. So I should have been at 17 points. Nope, all they show is 14 points. Then we took a 7 day, so an additional 7 points right? Nope, still shows 14 points, even after checking in on the ship, no points showed up. And we should have gotten an additional point because of the $200 spend promo.

    I should have 7 plus 10 plus 7 plus 1. Total 25 points. Nope. Just 14.

We love MSC and want to go back but I want my points and the perks for 25 points!!!

    Maybe time to email Sasso.

  5. Just read this article on the Real ID program. It may come to pass that unless the Congress passes the Pass ID legislation before the end of the year, you may need to have a passport to fly domestically.

Of course if your state participates in the REAL ID program, you should have no problem.

This hasn't happened yet, but you might want to think about it.

  6. What is you did a cruise tour and boarded the ship in Seward (in the US) but ended the cruise in Vancouver flying out the same day - at what point would all this come about - would they not let you board in Seward - not let you off the ship in Vancouver - take you into custody in Vancouver and take you to the airport for your pre arranged flight? Curious minds want to know.

I seem to remember this being discussed on the boards about a year ago. A gentleman did exactly as you stated. Upon arrival at Vancouver, the guy was prohibited from disembarking until the Canadian Customs arrived. They interviewed him for several hours and finally took him in Handcuffs to the airport and had him forcibly deported from Canada. I would assume that the forcible deportation means that he probably cannot enter Canada AGAIN. I also seem to remember that the brouhaha cost him a few thousand dollars at the end of the cruise.
