  1. Someone else mentioned it before I could but it can be a losing proposition for an organizer if a jackpot is hit which requires the 1099 tax form. Unless you have a friendly Canadian in the group willing to take credit for the big win...the organizer takes the tax hit. So hard work, possible tax consequences...yeah... IMO they can keep the paltry points they earn for the effort.
  2. Another big reason not to call someone harassingly is all the phone call data is collected and logged. Once the person being harassed files a complaint it only takes seconds to retrieve this data and the offender will be escorted off at the next port of call.
  3. While out at sea, leave your balcony door open then walk to the front and open the cabin door...you will experience firsthand what a real door slam is when it shuts itself.
  4. I have never organized a slot pull but I have participated. It is a lot of work...on a recent cruise we had 25 people with 20.00 buy in... we finished with around $800.00 which had to be broken down and shared with exact change to all 25 people...that in itself is a mini nightmare but handled well by the organizer. All this work for just a few points...and someone would have a problem with that...ridiculous. That is the problem today...everybody seems to be seeking out ways to be butt hurt over issues which are not of their concern. By the way, the casino actually encourages these type events because it draws crowds and brings excitement into the room.
  5. Not so sure about that...I was in Coco Cay a couple weeks ago and the casino was open. There may be a law, but it also may be conditional, or specific language factored into the Island lease. As another, separate example, right here in Florida, a few years back, I was in Key West on Celebrity and due to high wind, we could not safely sail thrust away from the pier, so we spent the night in Key West...with the casino open.
