Good luck with your research. I look forward to hearing your conclusions.

But don't forget to put the jam on first and the cream (clotted and lots of it) on top. No butter and never cream on first!

We have friends in Liverpool. Does anyone know where the Queens usually dock?

We enjoyed Iceland. We were lucky and had very good weather. We only called at Reykjavik and Akureyri. The golden triangle trip from Reykjavik is a long day but well worth it. Spectacular waterfalls and of course the famous geyser. The town itself is not special although there are some pretty corners in the old town. The new concert hall on the waterfront is spectacular and well worth a visit.
We thought the best part of Akureyri was the spectacular sail in up the fjord.
We also called at the Faroe Isles. Again very specatular scenery.

We've done two cruises on Eclipse. 2010 we were in the Med round to Venice and enjoyed it very much. The second was in 2012 to Iceland and put us right off Celebrity. The ship seemed overcrowded, particularly in dull weather when it was impossuble to find a seat inside. If you did find a corner the noise of the music everywhere was unbearable and we had to retreat to the cabin. Again in the evenings round the bars the music was everywhere and just too loud. Should we go back. She is a lovely ship with excellent cabins but we have been put off by our 2012 experience.

When I say aft I don't meen right on the stern, I meen 1621 to 1650. As opposed to the forward AQ cabins1501 to 1550.

Yes. Well spotted. What's a hundred years between friends!

Thanks for pointing me at that Stuart. I should have searched for it. This forum is so helpful I guess I got a bit lazy.

Well, thanks for the prompt replies. Sounds good.
Another couple of questions.
Thinking of the aft cabins on deck 11 on Eclipse. Does the overhang from deck 14 keep the sun off the balconies?
Also do Acqua Class cabins have any free or particular access to the spa? What about the Relaxation Lounge in the bows of deck 11?

Thinking of going back to Eclipse in 1915. Thought we might try acqua class. Blu restaurant sounds nice. Is it open sitting? Can you go in at any time?

I would guess about 150

Arghhhhhh! P&O have just announced they have sold Artemis! Another favourite ship lost to me.
Not lost altogether. The word is that she is going to Saga.
-
I also noticed in Sea Lines that Saga are looking at buying Astoria as a second ship for their Spirit of Adventure operation. No mention of a replacement for Saga Rose. I wonder if they are finding the cutomers for Saga Cruises are literally dying out and plan to concentrate on adventure cruises. That would be a pity. I don't look for adventure and inclusive tours - just a relaxing cruise and a stroll round a pleasant port with a few drinks in a bar somewhere, perhaps lunch and back to the ship for a snooze. What could be better?
What to do in Malaga?
in P&O Cruises ( UK )

There is also an excellent Picasso museum in Malaga if you are interested.
If you have time the Alkazba is worth a look. It is a bit of a climb up though.
(Sorry, I see I am repeating other posts)
